The HMR weight program is associated with a hospital near where I live although the program is available nation wide. There are several different types of programs: a quicker weight loss program using shakes and meal replacements; a Healthy Solutions program that also allows fruits and vegetables, and a maintenance program to learn how to maintain your weightloss long term but can also be used to lose weight in a less restricted environment than the weight loss programs. Weekly classes give attendees helpful ideas about eating, recipes, support and accountability. The most restrictive program and the Healthy Solutions program both require weekly minimum purchases of HMR meal replacement products to be part of the program. The Maintenace program does not. HMR is a very effective program when followed and learning to eat the minumum of fruits and vegetables per day instead of other less healthy food helps. I purchased this Cuisinart TOB-195 convection toaster oven to replace my old one that was dying. I had a large toaster oven before, but this one is even larger-it can hold a 12" pizza. Part of the reason I got this model was because it was large enough to cook most of the things I bake on a regular basis without having to use the regular oven. It has settings for regular or convection baking, broil, defrost, reheat, toast (custom settings) and bagels. The unit also lets you know when the oven is up to temperature, has a slide out crumb tray for easy cleaning and an automatic timer. It cooks really well and the only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that using the controls can seem a little complicated sometimes and I still have to refer to the instruction manual on occastion when I cook items I haven't done in a while. Also, the oven doesn't shut off when the timer is done but stays on for quite a while or until turned off.

The Precious jewelry cleaner kit works really well on all my jewelry-gold, silver, gems. It includes a spray container, a brush (that looks like a toothbrush) and one of the green/white jewelry polishing cloths. I have a couple other jars of jewelry cleaner but I don't think they work nearly as well as this stuff. Some of my jewelry hadn't looked that good in years when I first started using it. It is a multi-step process: spray the cleaner on the item and wait a bit, use the brush to clean around it, rinse the cleaner off, dry it and use the cleaning/polishing cloth. The whole process goes really quickly, though, and the jewelry looks so nice after it is cleaned. I haven't touched my other cleaners in over a year and don't intend to unless I run out.

This Kodak frame has an 8" diagonal widescreen LCD display. Photos can be viewed as a slide show or set to display one photo. It includes a wireless remote with battery, USB cable, and AC adapter. The item includes a 6-in-1 card reader compatible with SD, xD Picture Card, MMC, MS, CF, MD to display photos. It can also use MP3 audio files to accompany photos. I have used it mainly to run a photo slide show of my vacation photos and just leave it running so everyone gets to see them. I can carry it with me and just plug it in anywhere. Next time I might get a larger viewing frame to display photos, though.

These PreZerve soft-sided jewelry satchels have worked great at keeping my jewelry from tarnishing in-between uses. It came as a two piece set and I actually purchased the set just to get the smaller one to carry my jewelry in when traveling. I now store most of my jewelry in the larger one because it stays bright and shiny until I want to wear it. They save me a lot of time having to clean and polish my jewelry before wearing it. The satchels have multiple compartments including a ring compartment so items can be stored separately. There could be a problem for people who have very large pieces of jewelry in that the compartments might not be big enough to hold them.

This Technique K6385 5qt digital pressure cooker is the first pressure cooker I have ever tried. I was actually kind of scared of them after hearing stories of old ones exploding, etc. Then I saw this one being promoted on QVC and it looked so easy and safe that I decided to try it. The cooker has been working great over a year now and has produced many delicious meals. It has hi/low pressure cooking, a programmable timer and keeps food warm after the cooking time is over. Besides being a pressure cooker, it also has a cooking mode so that you can brown meats before adding the rest of the ingredients and putting it in pressure mode. The top locks after the pressure builds up so you can't accidently open it until you turn it off and the pressure is back to normal. This cooker also has a quick release valve to speed up pressure release once the dinner is cooked. An instruction/recipe book was included with it but I have also successfully adapted recipes I found on the Internet. ...

These beautiful, seasonal candles have a circular base of snowmen and trees that the candle fits inside. The candle is made of real wax and when it is turned on it flickers and looks like a real candle. It gives off a warm glow that is very attractive. The candle could be removed from the holder after the holidays and used year round. With a flameless candle you don't have to worry about accidently setting something on fire. It should provide years of use with just an occasional change of batteries. I purchased two of these as Christmas gifts and almost ended up keeping one of them for myself because I liked it so much.
