PattyTherre says "Endless variety, effective exercises, you're in control!" about Minna Lessig - Total Body Toning - 1 Minute Workout

Quick View: I am always whining about needing variety in my at home workouts. Well, I found a great strengthening and toning DVD that gives me endless variety and never gives me the same workout twice. This is quite possibly one of the most innovative workout DVDs out there. And it's not complicated or confusing in the least! — — About Minna Lessig - Total Body Toning - 1 Minute Workout — — This DVD is called "1 Minute Workout" because each segment is one minute long. Here's the scoop. The DVD has over 100 exercise segments on it and three random warm ups and cool downs. There are two intensities for beginners and those more advanced. — — You choose your intensity level, then you choose whether you want to work your upper or lower body, your abs, or your whole body. Then pick the number of minutes you want to workout. You can go as little as four or eight and as high as well over an hour. That's it. The DVD will program however many segments you...

Quick View: I don't NEED plumper lips but I just can't stop buying lip plumpers anyway. Most really don't work all that well but I like to try them nonetheless. This one doesn't do anything and it's fairly pricey. Next! — — About Urban Decay Big Fatty Lip Plumper — — Urban Decay describes the plumper this way: — — Watch your lips swell with this incredible plumping lip gloss. With a subtle gold sheen that reflects light, it enhances your new lush lips. So take a hit, light up a smile, feel the burn, and experience psychedelic results. Lips look fuller and fine lines disappear. The wand features the perfect flocked applicator for plumping evenly. * Get up to a 20% fuller pout!!! — * Plumping starts within 10 minutes & last up 3 hours. — * Lips get noticeably more pink. — I describe the plumper this way: — — This plumper comes in a multicolored tube with a sponge tipped applicator. It doesn't have much of a...

PattyTherre says "I looked great from the back but sported 'man bulges' in front." about Flexees Sew-Free Boy Short

Quick View: I never really liked boy shorts because I am not a fan of anything on my thighs under my clothes which is why I like high cut legs on my bikinis and thongs. However, I recently bought a hot pair of Lady Enyce "sweatpants" and I needed a panty to zap pantylines because the back of the pants is thin and tight. I ordered a pair of Flexees Sew-Free Boy Shorts and they did what I wanted. However, I had an issue with the front of the leg area rolling up. — — About the Flexees Sew-Free Boy Short — — Flexees makes a lot of shapewear products. These boy shorts are not really made for control but for a smooth silhouette. These boy shorts come in beige, black, and blush pink. I bought the nude/beige color. They are seam free except on the crotch area where they have a sewn in cotton panel. They have a line free waistband and non-elastic bands around the bottom of the legs to supposedly keep the boy short in place on your legs. The material is 59% Nylon, 21%...

PattyTherre says "I am loving my SkeCrocs, er, Crochers, er these shoes!" about Skechers - Cali Gear Calies Mary Janes

Quick View: Finally, someone has jumped on the Crocs bandwagon and came up with shoes for the whole family using the lightweight, waterproof, odor resistant resin material to make cute styles that aren't as "clunky" as regular Crocs. That company is my beloved Skechers. The shoes I am reviewing are absolutely adorable and they're just as comfy and easy to care for as Crocs. — — About Skechers Cali Gear Calies Mary Janes — — The Cali Gear line has many styles all made from the same materials. They're bright, light, and super cute. They have a full line for men, women, and kids. I bought two styles. The first was a pair of Skechers Cali Gear Calies Mary Janes (Style 36610) . I love Skechers for casual wear but at times, they tend to be somewhat heavy on my feet. Not so with these shoes. They're feather light! — — The Cali Mary Jane is very similar to the Skecher Bikers and Sightsee lines which feature a criss cross strap with Velcro so the laces...

PattyTherre says "Hot Flick Picks. Movies that heat up the room or is it just me?" about Top "Hot Movie" Picks

Who says women don't like hot movies? We do! But many of us don't like the same hot movies that men do. We like movies that tell a story and that touch us in an emotional and sensual way. The movies that I think are hot are, for the most part, not even supposed to BE hot movies. However, a scene here, a line there, and a storyline filled with innuendo and tension can make a movie hot for me. So, I am sure you are asking, what are YOUR favorites, Patty? I was just going to tell you! — These are no particular order, just off the top of my head. All are ones I love to watch over and over and OVER again and have worn out their welcome when my husband is around. There's nothing like a long weekend with the boys out camping and me and my fave DVDs. These are but five of several I like. I will do a part two and three in the future with more. I don't want to make this into a novel length essay! — 1.)	Cocktail (1988) — Starring a young Tom Cruise and a beautiful Elizabeth...

Quick View: I have had issues with the "Dove's signature scent" in the past and I am having them again with Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body Lotion. I received a one ounce sample tube of the lotion and I will NOT be buying it! It doesn't hydrate better than my body butters and the scent makes me think of very, very old ladies. I love old ladies but I am not quite ready to be - or smell - like one. — — About Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body Lotion — — This lotion is thin and not oily at all. It quickly absorbs into the skin with absolutely no greasiness. After applying, my skin feels somewhat more hydrated but, for being marketed to people with very dry skin, I am surprised at how lightweight the lotion really is. My body butters and regular creams do a much better job of hydrating than Dove Cream Oil Intensive Body Lotion. — — The first thing that hit me when I tried this was THAT SCENT. It's a super floral, very old fashioned, kind of sickening scent...

Quick View: Lately, I am the queen of snack and protein bars. I am trying to eat healthier and avoid bad fats and empty calories. Kellogg Special K Protein Chocolate Delight Snack Bars are good little bars to munch on when a chocolate craving comes over you. They're low in calories and fat and taste delish! — — About Kellogg Special K Protein Chocolate Delight Snack Bars — — This is not a meal replacement bar. It is a snack bar to have between meals or as a little desert. Weighing in at just .9 ounce, they're just enough to satisfy a chocolate craving without making you feel stuffed. — — But how do these little bars fare in the nutrition department, you may ask. Well... — — Each bar has 110 calories and 3 grams of non trans fat. There is a nice amount of protein in them at 4 grams but fiber is lacking coming in at just .5 grams. You get 16 grams of carbs which, for me, is very reasonable, and 60mg of calcium. At only 80 grams of...

Quick View: Some of you may know I am hyper. What you may not know is that I am anxious and that comes out in hyperness at times. I have had anxiety my whole life and was once almost housebound because of it. I have overcome so much but, a while ago, I was talking to my doctor about my lack of motivation and my looming anxiety about my sons' wellbeing and he suggested a completely "safe" medication, Lexapro. I don't even take Tylenol so I said NO WAY. However, I eventually did try it hoping to get back my old spirit and get up and go. Uhhh ... well, my experience was a strange one. — — My Experience with Lexapro — — My first question to my doctor was, "Will this make me gain weight?" Yes, I am THAT vain. I had been 123 pounds for years and I had no plans of changing that. Not even if I felt a little better. He told me that he had NO patients who EVER experienced weight gain. Well, now he does. — — I started super slow. I only took a teeeeeny bit...

Quick View: I have been working out a lot these days in an effort to feel better, fitter, and get myself toned. I THOUGHT I was up for the challenge of YogaButt but boy, was I wrong. This is the most challenging workout I have in my collection and I have a huge collection of workouts! — — About YogaFit YogaButt Workout — — This workout targets the butt and thighs as well as the core. It is done with a small inflatable ball which I got with the DVD. It is a mix of traditional yoga with classic tried and true exercises like lunges and squats. The instructor is YogaFit founder Beth Shaw and she is either double jointed or the most flexible person on earth. The workout requires a mat and either the YogaFit ball or any 16 inch inflatable ball. — — The warm up is hard. When that happens, you just know you took on too much! There is traditional mat work and some standing work. The ball is used during about half of the workout between the knees, in the...

Quick View: I love Latin dance and I love working my abs standing rather than on a mat. This set promised to work my core and make it fun! Well, it works my core but it isn't as fun as I hoped. Still, I do one of the two main workouts every few days because it's constant hip swiveling, belly burning action. The Core Rhythms Four Workout Set — I saw this four DVD set advertised late at night and endorsed by Dancing with the Stars' head judge Len Goodman as well as So you Think You Can Dance's Judge Mary Murphy. They ought to know what's good and bad, right? — Well, I have no doubt that these workouts do target the core and will help firm the area but I was a bit disappointed because these aren't really dance workouts. They are exercise ones that have a lot of repetition and a lot of very fast paced moves. — The instructors are world champion Latin dancers Jaana Kunitz and Julia Powers.

Quick View: Can you be in love with a table fan? Well, I am so it is obviously possible. This little fan looks like it could only cool a small area but it can literally cool down my whole house. It's quiet and blasts air like no other fan I have had. It's small but boy, does it pack a punch! — — About the Honeywell Super Turbo High Performance Fan (HT804) — — This fan is all plastic and weighs in at only four pounds. At 10.9 x 6.4 x 11.3 inches, it fits almost anywhere - a desk, table, or wherever you want. It also can be wall mounted to circulate air. It has three speeds and tilts to 90 degrees. It doesn't oscillate but it does seem to spray coolness throughout the room. — — I bought this fan to use when I work out. I get so hot that I slow down and "gas out" and I knew, as the weather got warmer, I would have to have something to keep me cool. This does and then some.

Quick View: The last thing a woman needs to worry about is her underwear when she is working out. These bikinis let me work out with comfort and they're great for casual wear as well. I really love the way they fit! — — About Champion Champion Double Dry Women's Hi-Cut Bikinis — — I don't often talk about my underwear. Really! But these bikinis are just so awesome that I had to spread the word. I am slim and have very little junk in the trunk. As a result, most panties, even the smallest, skimpiest ones, seem to pooch out and shift when I work out or just walk around. I HATE having to adjust my panties when I am supposed to be concentrating on working out or when I am out and supposed to be enjoying my day. — — These panties are sporty. They are 100% cotton with a tagless elastic waistband that is very comfortable. The legs are high cut. I wouldn't wear any other kind.
Quick View: This didn't do much for my hair. I have very long hair and I think this product is better for shorter styles. — — About Pantene Pantene Pro-V Texturize! Defining Pomade, Texture & Shine — — This pomade comes in a deceptively large container. The actual amount of product is one ounce. This is a thick white substance that is to be used on dry hair to make it shiny, give the hair texture, and make it look "piecey". — — I bought this pomade because my hair is suddenly weird. Weirder, I should say. I guess the highlighting and other chemicals I have been using on it have really dried it out and I have zero shine and zero manageability. Because my hair is now well below the middle of my back (but not for long!), I need to DO something with it otherwise it just sits there looking like frizzy hippy's hairstyle. — — The pomade is thick and melts quickly when I rub it between my palms.
Quick View: In honor of Jay-Z and Beyonce's marriage, I decided to give Jay-Z a couple of hundred dollars to add to his bazillions. Actually, I received a discount coupon for Rocawear.com and went to check out the specials. I got great clothing and accessories at good prices and the box was on my doorstep the day after I ordered! — — About Rocawear.com — — Rocawear is very trendy, mostly juniors type clothing, accessories, hats, footwear, and other bling. I am not a kid but I do wear junior's sizes and I do like trendy clothing. But I am no fan of the high prices that Rocawear clothing can cost which is why I headed straight for the Last Chance and Outlet areas of the site. — — The site is easy to navigate and has a ton of variety.
Quick View: I didn't need this cream. I have a bazillion foot and hand creams but something drew me to it. It smells great and works well. It isn't super thick but it does soften and hydrate both hands and feet. — — About Revlon Overnight Hand and Foot Repair — — This lotion comes in a light blue 4.2 ounce tube. It is designed to be used as an overnight treatment but I find I can use it on my hands any time. It seems thicker on my feet though. That is probably because I apply it much more liberally there. — — The scent is great. It isn't peppermint like every foot cream out there. It is a combination of essential oils and says that the scent is lemon mandarin sage. I definitely smell those scents and others. It's a great change from the usual. — — This cream is medium consistency. It isn't super thick. It's more like a good body lotion.
Quick View: I am a big fan of Leslie Sansone's walk workouts and love buying her latest ones. I bought a package deal that included, among other things, this pedometer. It works but the talking part is ridiculous. I would never buy this on its own. — — About the Leslie Sansone Talking Pedometer — — This pedometer does the following: — — ANNOUNCES STEPS & DISTANCE * Counts and announces up to 99,999 steps — * Measures and announces total distance traveled — * Plays melodies in sync with your walking speed — * Announces current time — * Has an alarm for use as reminder — This little, very light pedometer is easy to set.
PattyTherre says "High Protein Cereal Bars: South Beach vs. Slim-Fast. Who wins?" about South Beach vs. Slim-Fast New School vs Old School Protein Bars

You can go with this or you can go with that... — — I am on a quest to eat more protein. I have been journaling my food daily and I have seen that my protein intake is very low. With the amount of exercise I have been doing, I really need protein for muscle building plus it's just plain healthy. No matter how hard I try though I can't seem to eat enough protein because I am not eating dairy products much due to the fat content and I am not a big meat eater. The answer for me is a protein bar. I can boost my protein and get some vitamins and fiber as well.I bought two different protein cereal bars to start my day out right. One is a new low carb diet bar and the other is an old school balanced diet bar. I had never tried either formula so I was eager to see which I would favor. After a few days of eating both bars, I have my answer. — Let's look at South Beach Living High Protein Cereal Bars and Slim-Fast High Protein Meal on the Go Bars. Both claim to be suitable...

PattyTherre says "Sport shoes only if the sport is walking. Not for high impact. " about Skechers Bikers - Mountain Rally Sport Shoe

Quick View: These high top sports shoes look great but lack features that I look for in shoes that I plan to wear for exercise. They're comfortable enough and fine for walking and other low impact activities but they can't stand up to higher impact workouts. — — About the Skechers Bikers - Mountain Rally Sport Shoe — — Skechers was having a one day 60% off select shoes sale and I was right there snapping up some fun and funky styles. I have been working out daily and, when I saw these shoes, I thought I found a cheap way to get a new pair of shoes to work out in. Cheap on sale that is. They are normally $64.00 which isn't all that cheap for these. — — These shoes are high tops which I haven't work in ages. But I need some ankle support. They are leather and suede and are good looking. They come in brown or black with two sets of shoelaces to match the piping on the shoe. I bought black and there was silver/gray accents so I got black and gray...

PattyTherre says "I don't wait for hubby. I massage myself with The Honeymooner!" about LUSH Soft Coeur (The Honeymooner) Massage Bar

Quick View: I am a fan of LUSH's solid massage bars. I use them as deep moisturizers as well as the occasional massage when I get the grumpy hubby to comply. This one is great. It smells good enough to eat and makes a perfect massage bar as well as a deep moisturing bar. It is a tad greasy (as it should be) and leaves little streaks of chocolate on the skin but they are easily rubbed right in. — — About LUSH Soft Coeur (The Honeymooner) Massage Bar — — This all natural little heart shaped bar of oils and butters has visible chunks of chocolate buried in the white solid. It's real because I tasted it! I know, I'm crazy but I had to know. The scent is so good. It's fruity and a tad chocolately. It smells good enough to eat but it not marketed as "kissable". It has a perfumey taste which bums me out. — — The heart is small, just 1.3 ounces, but it seems to be lasting quite a while. It does melt easily though for a slippery massage. After it melts...
