I was placed on Vicodin or hydrocodone after having several teeth extracted. It really helped with the pain. I did find that it caused nause but taking it with food helped. The medication is a combination of acetaminaphin - tylenol - and hydrocodone. Together they work in sync to relieve pain. Taken in higher doses than prescribed tylenol can be very damaging to the liver and some studies suggest that even in smaller dosages it can be harmful. I wouldn't want to be on hydrocodone on a long term basis but for the dental work it really helped....

Neurontin is an anti-seizure medication that is also used for neuralgia or nerve pain. It has other uses but those are the most common. It is widely used by physicians for treatment of nerve disorders caused by diabetes, post herpatic neuralgia - the after shock pain of shingles, and for many nerve disorders. It was orginally developed as an anti-seizure medication but as with many medications other uses were soon discovered. I took neurontin for 3 years for trigeminal neuralgia which is a very painful facial nerve disorder. It worked well for me but the dosage can increase to many capsules per day that become frustrating to take. I also found that it made me extremly hungry and I've lost 38 pounds since I stopped taking it a year ago. ...

Protonix is in a group of medications called proton pump inhibitors which is doctor speak for it decreases the amount of acid produced by the stomach. It is an oval shaped small yellow tablet with Protonix printed on one side. It is time released and should never be crushed or split. It is taken daily and also used to treat erosive esophagitis which is Dr. speak for damage to the esophagus from stomach acid. It's a condition that can eventually lead to cancer of the stomach so it is a life saver for many people. I have had acid reflux for many years but protonix is a wonderful - no more heartburn - no more waking up in the middle of the night choking on stomach acid. Great medication.

Rihanna's Good Girl Gone Bad album is great because it's her - being free to do what she wants. She has such range and she proves her talent with every song. I think she has changed her look because she finally CAN. She knows she's got us and she's free to experiment. This girl and this album have it ALL! Great production by Timbaland and Justin Timberlake, Stargate and more. Rihanna has been dazzling us with each new attempt she makes and this is no exception. Good mix of upbeat music - gotta love it!...
