PLS says "Beagles are to be chosen with care." about Beagle Full Bred

Before you bring a Beagle home, I highly recommend doing research on the breed. After that, if a Beagle is still you choice, know who the breeder is, and if possible, bring the Beagle home for a week to get a good idea of his/her personality.

I love the Beagle breed and generally have one. The reason for the caution is because of the Beagle that I now have. He turned out to have a big personality problem, if he is startled, he will bite. I realized the problem within a few days, but because of the attitude of the area he came from, I kept him. I knew he would have been put down if I returned him. He doesn't hunt, but I don't use dogs to hunt, I am not a hunter. He is, in fact, afraid of rabbits! True story. Yes he was taken to a vet for this. In the end, we know our dog and treat him by being careful to let him know we are there. I have taken a bite or two, but knew this could happen when I kept him.

All other Beagles I have had have been friendly and have made great pets.

PLS says "Avon is one of my top "go to" companies." about Avon.com

Avon is a brand that has been around for as long as I can remember, and trust me, that has been awhile. I have bought Avon for years, some items on a regular basis.

I am selective about what I buy. I usually choose from a selected group of products, if I like it, as a rule, I don't switch. I am a conservative shopper and don't like to take chances with a product I am not familiar with.

In many areas where I have lived, I have been unable to find an Avon rep.. With Avon online, I can take my time choosing what I need or want and have it delivered to my door with no pressure to buy more. I really don't care for a pushy sales person.

I also like a lot of their gift items, as long as it is nice and simple. They sometimes have scrapbooking products, I have bought several and have not been disappointed, although I usually can't find the same ones a second time. I would like to see an ongoing line in the scrapbooking area.
...

PLS says "Sparkpeople is a learning experience, a lifestyle change." about Sparkpeople.com

I have been a member of Sparkpeople for about four months. I have learned that my eating habits really need to improve. The nutrition tracker helps show you where you need to cut down or increase food in your everyday diet. Great recipe site for low calorie recipes. It also allows you to add your favorite family recipes and get the nutrition facts.

My lifestyle is an exercise in itself, that is good, but the junk food I eat pretty much cancels out the benefits. I am learning to not buy the the problem foods. If i do fail, it is just for that day, everyday is a new day to start over until I get it right.

Sparkpeople provides a large number of topics for discussion, everything from bragging about our pets to planting a garden for better nutrition and fresher produce. It also provides a lot of pointers on how and when to plant.

At Sparks people, there is always someone there to provide support. A great site for social interaction.
...

PLS says "Great gas mileage in a mid size car." about Pontiac G6 - 2006

Before I bought my Pontiac G6, I looked at a lot of cars. I went online and researched the options I wanted and needed. I needed a car that had enough room for my dogs, when I travel, without being cramped. I wanted a car that had a big enough engine to climb hills easily, and it does.

I like that you have to go into the trunk to release the back seats when you want them put down, it gives added security to the trunk area.

At first, after the economy tanked, I almost regreted buying my car, but it is a great car and the gas mileage is as good or better that a lot of the economy cars coming out. On the open road, depending on the road condition, I get from 35 to 40 MPG. Around town, usually 27 MPG.

The tires are a bit expensive tho, but I shopped around when I replaced them. At Les Scwab I bought all four for a little over 600.00, a lot, but less expensive than other places.

The seats could be better, but overall, I love the car.
...

PLS says "If you can't drive yourself, go Greyhound." about Greyhound Bus Service

I have traveled by Greyhound many times, although I was transfered to alternate bus lines, many times, because of my destination. So far there have been no problems with these transfers. If you know in advance when and where you will be going, you can buy a seven day advance ticket, and, in my research and personal experience, save over half the cost of a regular priced ticket.

I have never had a bad experience. Once, years ago, the Greyhound had a flat tire. Evidently they just can't be fixed on the side of the road. We did have to wait, in the middle of nowhere, for a replacement, but they sent a really nice bus to take us on to our next transfer.

Funny and a little creepy once. A woman was being deported by bus, I don't know the thinking on that one, but, in my opinion, she needed to be hospitalized, she had serious mental disability issues. The bus driver did a great job of handling the situation.

I haven't traveled by Greyhound in the past few years, but would if I needed to....
...

I used Kilz paint, for the first time, when I was cleaning up an old house. It covered most problem spots with the first coat, as long as I didn't miss a spot. I had no problem with odor, although i do always open windows when I paint. I liked the colors a lot. I will definatly use this paint again, and again.
...

Clorox Clean up is great to have around for quick clean ups. I like using it after cooking meats. I feel more comfortable knowing I've got rid of any bacteria, especially after working with pork or chicken. I do tend to spill, so Clorox Cleanup is great at getting rid of my coffee stains...and then there is the puppy!
...
