PERRYEASTEP says "A wonderful game the whole family can enjoy" about Konami - Silent Hill 2

First, let me say anyone under the age of 17 should not be playing this game, period. My sound bite is a joke geared more for the gamers out there that will identify it as such. This is an adult game that has been stamped with an M rating and for good reason.

Silent Hill 2 does not follow the story of SH1- so you can relax if you never played the 1st one (which was on Playstation 1).

Players find themselves placed in the role of one James Sunderland, a lonely, depressed man who was once happily married. His former wife, Mary, died three years ago to a terrible disease and ever since, James hasn't been able to pull it together.

Then one day, James receives a letter, signed by his "dead" wife Mary, pleading for him to meet with her in the town of Silent Hill. It reads, "Silent Hill, our sanctuary of memories...I will be waiting for you there." Disturbed, perplexed, and intrigued, James lets his emotions decide against logic, and drives to their former place of memories, Silent Hill.

You...
...

PERRYEASTEP says "It takes brass-balls to sell real estate." about Glengarry Glen Ross

Released in the year 1992, Glengarry Glen Ross made a very quit debut. Thinking back, I never heard of the film until it came to video, where it found most of it's audience. This film pulls no punches, striped bare of all the Hollywood glamor, and stands on a wonderful script, and a collection of actors performances to become one of the best movies you may ever see. A unicorn when compared to the offerings of today.

Directed by: Jame Foley

Written by: David Mamet

Starring: Al Pacino, Jack Lemmon, Alec Baldwin, Alan Arkin, Ed Harris, and Kevin Spacey

Glengarry Glen Ross was adapted from David Mamits award winning play. The big trick was to take it's story to the silver screen in a way that could match or come close to the quality of the play. Did it ever.

As the movie opens you almost feel as though a large blanket has been casted over you and the characters your watching. The scenes are shot very tight, and always with tension. The characters are written with an incredible amount of...
...

PERRYEASTEP says "Star power ALONE saves what could have been....and I wish it was" about Righteous Kill

A Righteous Kill is playing in your local theater now. It stars two of the most incredible actors of our time. Most reviews have not been so great.

Starring: Al Pacino, Robert Deniro, John Leguizamo, Donnie Wahlberg, Carla Gugino, and Brian Dennehy.

Directed by: Jon Avnet

Written by: Russell Gewirtz

Now, in a time when things are tough all-over, I was really looking forward to this movie lifting me up a bit. It's good, but it should have been better. The story is very good actually, just bad editing, directing, and music selection decisions. In the hands of a more skillful director, this should have been a knockout. Instead, we are (still, very lucky to be treated) treated to two very solid performances in Deniro & Pacino with little else.

This movie is a thriller with a twist. Two cops are on the hunt for a serial killer. The killer leaves poems with the victim's, not to taunt police, but to inform on the motive behind the kill. Was this a person that needed to die? A life worth taking? There...
...

PERRYEASTEP says "I love my Panera Bread!" about Panera Bread - Columbus, OH

I live across the street from a Paneara Bread cafe. This place is wonderful! Until this year I had never been to a Panera.

I'm a big time soup lover and they have a great selection, along with seasonal soups. My favorite would be the Broccoli and Cheddar, Creamy Tomato, and the Black Bean soup. They serve this with your choice of whole grain, or wheat baguette. Throw in some chips, fruit cup, or apple with a soda for around 6 bucks! When it comes to quality and soup, I'm a tuff critic. Panera only uses the finest ingredients in their bakery, and the proff is in the mouth watering freshness you will find in their food. I can honestly say I have never had a bad experience when I head over to their cafe for lunch.

The menu has a lot of other goodies, including one of my favorites for breakfast, freshly baked souffles! Oh my god are these tasty! They have four different types: a Four Cheese, a Turkey Sausage & Potatoes, a Spinach & Artichoke (my favorite!), and a Spinach & Bacon.
PERRYEASTEP says "Alanis...Her music will be studied...some day. Wonderful!" about Alanis Morissette - Flavors of Entanglement

I fell in love with Alanis about the same time most people who loved her did. It was her album "Jagged Little Pill", released in June of 95. Morissette rocked an entire nation with hits like "You Outa Know", "Hand in my Pocket", "You Learn", and my favorite from the album, "All I really Want". Every song on that CD was awesome. That was over thirteen years ago. She never really recaptured the public quite like she did in the summer of 95 again, but thats not to say her music wasn't as good. I happen to think - like every artist, you continue to shed new skin as you grow.

After a few more albums came "Under Rug Swept", released to my surprise very quietly. Only one song off the album made it to the radio stations, which I always felt was terrible management, or PR work. This was another incredible album, and should have been received much better. I started to think that a lot of people wanted the same type of anger in her songs, as with Jagged. Whatever the case, this album should have been...
...

I still have not seen the new Batman, but can't wait! I love Bale!

The best movie I watched this summer was Wanted, starring James McAvoy, Angelina Jolie, and Morgan Freeman.

I don't think I've ever seen a better "action" film, with such a great story! It's non-stop from start to finish. Some of the scenes in this film will have you wishing you had a remote control that could rewind a scene an view it again! The new kid on the block is McAvoy, and Jolie is probably at her best in this movie. I cant wait till this movie comes out on DVD. If you passed this movie up, please give it a chance. Chances are, it will become one of you favorite action movies of all-time.
...

PERRYEASTEP says "Having a party? Add this delicious treat to your line up!" about Texas Fudge

As a host of over 100+ social party's, and someone who really loves to cook, there is one dish I serve that never disappoints.....and usually makes new friends. I'ts called Texas fudge. I know what your thinking, fudge = sweet, and rich. maybe so, but this is not that type of fudge. Texas Fudge = spicy, with a bite. Its made with blended Mexican cheese, eggs, and jalapeno sliced peppers. This is a perfect dish to serve for any type of party (best enjoyed with beer!). This is a very easy recipe to make, and ask your kids to help for added fun. Heres how to prepare:

Preheat oven to 350

5, 8oz bags of blended Mexican cheese (shredded) poured into a big bowl

8 to 9 large eggs, scrambled. Pour eggs over cheese in bowl.

Mix well

add 1 jar of sliced jalapeno (medium for best results, mild will work fine too) peppers. Make sure you strain most of the juice, leave a little to add in the mix.

After mixing well, the mixture should have a wet, but not runny look to it.

Grease a 3 qt baking dish (16 x 9.5),...
...

PERRYEASTEP says "Sandler won me over in Click!" about Click (2006)

I've never been into Adam Sandler movies, I just never liked him, or his comedy.

One day while I was at my former girlfriends house, I was looking through her dvd collection. Most of her movies were "chick flicks", and the others were ones I added to the collection. Except one. Click. I must have picked up the case a dozen times and looked at it, then quickly returned it to its place in the rack. Until one morning while I was enjoying some coffee, I decided to watch it. I figured since it had Christopher Walken in it, there might be some scenes worth watching, and I think Kate Beckinsale is nice on the eyes - so what the heck.

Click starts off with the standard introduction to the main character, with a little information on what he does, who he loves, and the neighborhood, and people that inhabit it. The longer I watched, the more I not only related to, but really began to like Click.

It's about a guy who has a wonderful wife, great kids, and a promising future. The only trouble is he...
...

These are my top ten favorites!

10) Carlitos Way

Starring Al Pacino, Sean Penn, Penelope Ann Miller. Directed by Brian De palma.

Some would regard this as a gangster flick. I call it a wonderful romance, filled with a lot of gangsters in it.Beautiful cinematography, and very well written. A must see!

9) The In-Laws (1979)

The tag line for this movie when it was released was: "The first certified crazy person's comedy."

Starring Peter Falk, Alan Arkin. Directed by Arthur Hiller

In preparation for his daughter's wedding, dentist Sheldon Kornpett (Alan Arkin) meets Vince Ricardo (Peter Falk), the groom's father. Vince, a manic fellow who claims to be a government agent, then proceeds to drag Sheldon into a series of chases and misadventures from New York to Central America.

8) Running Scared (1986)

Starring Billy Crystal, Gregory Hines. Directed by Peter Hyams.

The best buddy- buddy cop movie ever!

7) Spiderman (2002)

6) Back to the Future (1985)

5) Murder by Death (1976)

4) Down and out...
...

Before I lay out my list I would like to say I love the art of film. I do consider myself a very good judge of what is good, and what is a dud. I approached writing this with some "guilty pleasures" in mind. Like many of us, I believe a great movie does not need a four star rating from some critic. As long as the film in some way moves, touches, challenges, or provokes discussion, then it can be a great film. So with that, heres my favorite 20 films.

20) Hurlyburly (1998) Rated R

This is a film that should be studied by any student interested in the arts of film, no matter the area, this film covers them all.

Starring Sean Penn, Kevin Spacy, Robin Wright, Chazz Palminteri, Garry Shandling, and Meg Ryan. Directied by Anthony Drazan.

Hurlyburly is in a category all in itself. The viewer plays the ease-dropper here. This independent, award wining movie revolves around Eddie (masterfully played by Penn, I think it's his best work ever), a Hollywood player that is on the edge, and almost .......no...
...

In 1994, Heat, starring Al Pacino, and Robert Deniro opened in the theaters. I went to see it 4 times.

It's the first time ever in cinema history at this point that Pacino & Deniro had ever shared a scene together. Yes, they were both in Godfather II, but they never had a scene together.

Heat is an all out crime saga that has incredible character development, awesome cinematography, a beautiful musical score, romance, the promise of a better tomorrow that never comes, wonderful acting, and a cast that can only be dreamed of.

This is a rather long film, but the payoff is tremendous.

I'm not going cover the story, other-than to say this is a movie about a cop on the hunt of a master thief. There both good guy's, its just that life has dealt these two men their cards, and they play them for good or bad, because thats all they know how to do.

One of Deniro's lines in the movie that still stays with me today is this.."Never let yourself get atached to nothing you can't walk out on in 30 seconds...
...

I have been research a lot of survey sites as of late. With todays economy, and crazy gas prices, what are you to do? Well I work a fulltime job, but in the evenings I enjoy surfing the web. I am a member of Mypoints.com, E-Rewards.com, and Globalnet.com. These are all very cool survey sites that allow you to earn extra cash, or points to purchase cool stuff like video games, video game consoles, music, ipods, dvd's, and much more. After about four months I found Swagbucks.com.

This is a great site that only asks you to search for whatever you normally search for with them. It's still a google search engine, but you build points with your searches and can use them to buy cool things. I definitely recommend this site. If you would like to sign up, it's fast and easy and you will be earning point in no time!

PS- Check out downloading their toolbar for easier searches!

...

If your just wanting a nice, crisp, clean taste without the aftertaste then Bud Lite is the beer for you. Always fresh, and goes down easy. Mich Lite would have to be the runner up. It's a little heavier but still has that clean taste to it but a little more body. So gather up some ice cold Buds and enjoy the day!...
