PAULPRO says "Effective and reasonably priced." about Advantix Flea & Tick

We have been owned by Newfoundland Dogs and Golden Retreivers for about twenty years. We initially used Adams Flea and Tick Spray because that was all that there was available to fight off the ticks in the woods of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the parks near our home. Adam's smell was not the greatest, and it hung around in the car and our home for days after we sprayed the critters. Frequent swimmers, the Newfs and Goldens had to be sprayed down as soon as they dried off. We never had any luck with any product stopping bug bites around our male Newfies' eyes. There are no safe bug repellents to rub in that sensitive area. The areas around the boys' eyes would swell leaving the boys looking like they had gone 13 rounds with a prize fighter. — We switched to Frontline in 1999. All of our Newfie friends were using it because it was convenient (once a month) and not bothered by swimming. However, it did...

PAULPRO says "Alan Shore: Hate to extort and run." about Boston Legal

My college age son got my wife and myself turned on to this program during season two. I wish we would have started watching from the beginning! Next to House, MD, Boston Legal is the most intelligently written program in years. Even when I disagree with the premise, I still find the writing to be superbly witty and pointed. The addition of John Laroquette to the show only made things more interesting. The show is so much like the old movies - watch the actors' eyes and mouths, their facial expressions, how they carry themselves. It isn't what they say - it is the innuendo and inflection. Finally, to quote Alan Shore's arch nemesis, Attorney Melvin Palmer, "I really get a hoot," out of how the show gets weirder and weirder by the minute. Just when one thinks it can't go overboard, it does. — Denny Crane: [walking through a crowd of reporters] "dennycranelaw.com. Pictures, bios, hobbies. I once captained my own spaceship....

PAULPRO says "Fine Insurance Company" about Auto Owners Insurance

I was a claims rep for fifteen years. Though I worked for a competitor that sold through independent agents, I was always impressed by the way Auto Owners Insurance claims staff handled both auto and homeowners losses. Auto Owners claim reps were fair, honest and prompt. When I left the insurance field, I shopped my auto and homeowner's insurance for the first time in fifteen years. I was disgusted with the insurance industry in general, and, knowing the industry VERY well, I was rather dubious of the agents and companies out there. I went with Auto Owners because compared to my former employer (and insurance company), and seven other carriers sold by independent agents, Auto Owners was substantially less expensive. State Farm and Allstate didn't even come close to touching Auto Owners. My premium dropped over $500 annually between the home and auto, and I increased my coverage on both policies. Every year...

PAULPRO says "Why are you taking Tweek's underpants?" about South Park

South Park is an addiction. I have been addicted to South Park since it premiered. Watching South Park is like watching a car accident: one doesn't want to see it, but it is so engrossing and sick, that one keeps, well, watching. South Park pulls no punches. Everyone and everything is game for attack. Eventually, every race, gender, religion or spieces will be violated by the writers. If you are offended by swearing, sexual jokes, racist and various religious slams, then do not watch South Park. — I am a conservative, and I think South Park is funny as all get out....

PAULPRO says ""Idiots are fun. No wonder every village wants one."" about House, MD

I limit my television viewing to only a few select programs because most of what is on TV is garbage. House, M.D. is a bright light in a sea of trash. The program challenges its viewers with intelligently written scripts and fine actors. Hugh Laurie is brilliant in his role as Gregory House. Robert Sean Leonard, Dr. Wilson, plays off Laurie's character with aplomb. Each of the other regular supporting cast adds his or her own spice to the mix. Now into its fourth season, House, M.D. continues to be fresh, pointed, exciting...
