OKtwister says "Whirlpool topload is a hunk of junk!" about Whirlpool Washing Machine

We bought a Whirlpool topload washer Model WTW5540SQ0 in August of '06. I have hated it from the day we got it home. It's loud. It leaves the clothes half wet after it spins. You can respin the clothes & it doesn't help a bit. The clothes never come as clean as my old washer got them.

My previous washer & dryer were Kitchenaids. They lasted 20 years! They were quiet. They spun the clothes out really dry, especially towels. In fact, I'd take the tired Kitchenaid back if I could get it. Even barely working it was better than the Whirlpool

I heard that Kitchenaid washers were made by Whirlpool but there is a HUGE difference in quality.

My brother said most men think as long as you don't get the lowest priced washer you're getting a pretty good one. (That's exactly what my husband thought; he picked the Whirpool washer.) My brother said to look at the spin rpm & if it's not listed it's probably crap. I'll agree with my brother.
