MommyMagicRocks says "A joy to drive; great peace of mind" about Volvo XC70 - 2004

We acquired this car new in 2004. It feels like it hugs the driver & has good giddyup & go, making this car fun to drive. We are most pleased by the peace of mind this vehicle offers with it's safety & security features. Furthermore, we have been impressed by it's cargo capacity; we've never run out of cargo room, even during trips with our two kids. The folding seats allow for transporting larger items. And it's AWD is a handy feature in some situations. I like that the automatic transmission offers manual override. We've had no serious problems with this vehicle (just the minor issue mentioned below), have enjoyed having it, & would love to buy another in the future. — — As much as we both love this vehicle, it's not completely perfect. Occasionally the carpet liner in the the trunk scoots slightly towards the rear, causing the trunk to stick shut. The solution involves wriggling in through the back seat (a pain when this happens with a trunk full of luggage on the...

MommyMagicRocks says "Laundry isn't just a chore anymore" about Whirlpool Duet Washer/Dryer

My husband & I purchased the Whirlpool Duet washer & dryer when we moved into our home last Spring. At first the entire family was entertained by just watching the wash in the machine. Now that the novelty has worn off, I'm still impressed. I absolutely LOVE the high capacity of these machines; it translates to time savings in that it allows me to do laundry much less frequently. It's also great to be able to wash large comforters at home instead of taking them to the laundry mat or dry cleaners. — — We opted to NOT buy the pedestals. Because of their high price, I wanted to try without them first, thinking I could always add them later. I actually prefer to not have them because I use the top surface for folding laundry. — — The washing machine: — — My mom said she would never want a front loading machine because she likes being able to add stray garments after the wash cycle has already started. However, you can still do this within the first 8...

MommyMagicRocks says "A perfect solution for frosty nights" about Sunbeam heated blanket Queen size with dual controls

My husband & I received this electric blanket as a Christmas gift. We've been enjoying its softness & warmth every night since. The dual heating zones are perfect for us because my husband likes to practically "fry" himself on high heat, while I prefer to just gently take the edge off the chill. It was very simple to set up & is machine...

This furnace was an emergency replacement for a very old low efficiency gas furnace. It was installed 3 months ago. We've been warm & cozy ever since, no complaints. We're quite pleased with the savings on our gas bill & feel very good about our envirnmentally sound...

MommyMagicRocks says "terrific for maintaining our household" about Kenmore Progressive Canister Vacuum with Pet PowerMate

The first thing we noticed about the Kenmore Progressive canister is that it's so quiet one can actually carry on a conversation while sweeping. It can even be used while the kids are napping in other parts of our home. — — This vacuum cleaner does a great job of cleaning; it has very good suction power. Our house has hardwoods throughout, with just a few area rugs. The vacuum level adjusts very easily & cleans both surfaces effectively, even both low pile & shag rugs. We have cats, and thus litter to sweep up- it accomplishes the task quite well & kicks nothing back out. It does an excellent job on cat hair as well. The long cord means I don't have to constantly stop to unplug & plug it in elsewhere. Furthermore, it has proven easy for us to use on stairs. — — The only trouble I've encountered is difficulty disconnecting the hose/handle from the wand. It takes quite a bit of thumb pressure to press the button sufficiently, but I'm getting the hang of dealing...
