Mommy2007 says "Soothes my baby every time!" about Fisher Price Swing and Glide Baby Swing

We didn't get a swing for our baby shower and suffered through the first few weeks without one. Finally we decided to buy one to see if it would calm our son down from his many crying fits. It worked! I wish we had gotten a swing sooner. — — When I went swing shopping, the main thing I wanted was a swing that could be plugged into the wall. I didn't want to be changing batteries all the time. That was the main reason I bought this swing. — — Now that I own the swing the swing, the other features I like are that it adjusts from swinging to gliding and there are two reclining positions. When the baby is still tiny, the swinging motion sometimes seems too extreme. the gliding motion is much more gentle. As my son got older and stronger, I switched back to swinging and he could enjoy the swing longer. —...

Mommy2007 says "love the smell" about Burt's Bees Baby Bee Shampoo and Wash

I received the Burt's Bee's baby wash and shampoo as a gift after my son was born. 6 months later, we're still using the same bottle, so it really lasts a long time. I like it because we don't have to use a separate product for his hair and another one for his skin. — — This product leave my son smelling nice and clean but it's not overly scented like some other baby products. Since I suffer from excema, I was very worried about bathtime with my son. I don't want him to have dry itchy skin like me. So far, we haven't had any problems with this baby wash. When we run out, I will definitely buy it again. —...

Mommy2007 says "the only bottle we use" about Avent Baby Bottles

When I was pregnant with my son, I took a breastfeeding class. The lactation consultant recommended the Avent bottles for switching between breast and bottle because they are most like the breast. I am so glad I had a few of these bottles on hand because breastfeeding just did not work out for my son and me. — — I've been exclusively pumping for 6 months now and even though these bottles aren't compatible with the pump I am using, we use them anyway. We tried other bottles and nipples, and although my son would eat from them just fine, the Avent bottles made him spit up less. — — Every once in a while we get a leaky bottle, but that just means we have to tighten the collar. Now I know to check the bottles for leaks before I start a feeding. — — If I have to pump or formula feed with my next child, we'll be using these bottles again. —...

Mommy2007 says "easy to install, easy to use" about Britax Marathon Car Seat

The Britax Marathon was recommended to me by other moms and now I can see why. Outstanding safety rating. Since it fits kids up to 65 pounds, we shouldn't ever have to buy another car seat. It works for rear facing up to 33 pounds which is important for extended rear facing, which I plan to do. — — I was nervous about making the switch from the infant carrier car seat. My son liked his old car seat so much and since we have to drive at least 30 minutes to the nearest major city, it was imprtant that the seat be comfortable. I didn't need to worry! My son loves this car seat even more. He sits up higher and has a better view out the windows. — — So glad we splurged to get this car...

Mommy2007 says "best value" about Target Milk Based Powder Infant Formula

We switched to Target Brand formula soon after we brought our son home and realized we would need to supplement. When the hospital samples ran out, we bought this because it's less than half the cost of the name brand formulas. Our son had no problem switching. In fact, when we went back to using a name brand sample we received, our son refused it! So we're sticking with Target...
