MomWith2Boys says "No more burnt bitter coffee!!!" about Hamilton Beach Stay or Go 12-Cup Coffee Maker

I have loved nearly everything about this coffee pot since I got it. It came with a thermal carafe and two (non-drip???) travel mugs. The carafe is wonderful - the mugs I can do without. As soon as the pot finishes dripping it shuts off - thus no waste of electricity and no burnt bitter coffee. If you don't drink the pot immediately it's as fresh as it was in the morning all day and stays hot (if you do the suggested hot water carafe prep) most of the day. The only other coffee pot I have ever really enjoyed had the timer so it would be ready when I woke up and had an auto shut off so if you left the house and forgot to shut it you would still be safe. Although this doesn't go off on a timer it brews really fast and shuts off immediately so I am just as happy. I am a wise consumer so I'm sure I caught a good sale as I know it did not set me back much at all. ...

MomWith2Boys says "If not for rollover minutes it would be a total ZERO!" about AT&T (formerly Cingular)

Years ago I had a friend with terrible AT&T service. When AT&T became Cingular I was thrilled - until I used it. The rollover minutes are a great feature. The free after 7 another great feature but...that commercial about less dropped calls - don't know where that is but it certainly isn't in my area. Almost every call I make would eventually drop if not immediately surely in the middle of the conversation. Several times it would take several calls to complete one brief conversation like when and where to meet someone. If you live in NJ I would steer clear especially since they went back to being AT&T. As Cingular some things were not bad...before as AT&T they were awful and they are now back to being awful. Horrid customer service. Poor phone quality and over priced phones. I am currently without cellular service because the prostpect of returning to Verizon is grim, most of my friends are locked into AT&T contracts from the...

MomWith2Boys says "high price poor service mediocre connection" about Verizon Wireless Network

I have used Verizon wireless on two seperate conteracted occasions. Both times I was not happy with the service. And, after the contract expired we continued to fight over a bill for a months service when the phone was obviously and knowledgeably not used. They are unfair and overpriced. In my area the connection is mediocre - better than AT&T but not as good as it has been...

MomWith2Boys says "A fun surprise!" about Jane Austen Book Club

This weekend in my house the boys were with their Dad so I decided to rent a few 'chick flicks'. Turned out to be Jane Austen weekend... I started with Becoming Jane which I had high hopes for. I was not terribly impressed. The next night I popped in Jane Austen Book Club not expecting too much. What a wonderful surprise! It was sweet, funny, romantic, quick moving and of course some great looking men! I laughed, I got sentimental, and it sent me to the Library today to pick up 'Emma'. There were so many different relationship stories going on in it with a few twists as well. You dont have to be an Austen fan to enjoy it - but watch out - it just might make you head out to the library and pick up...

MomWith2Boys says "Wonderful tearful chick flick!" about Griffin and Phoenix

Last night the boys were with their Dad and I decided to put in Griffin & Phoenix while I caught up on some paperwork. Well, to heck with the paperwork - the movie was so good I didn't get much done while it was on. I am single again and would love to find someone that I had the type of chemistry with that these characters had. The movie was funny, sweet, sad, heartfelt, moving, thoughtful and thought provoking. I thoroughly enjoyed it even though I spent the last several minutes crying hysterically. ...

MomWith2Boys says "WOW! Beautiful grounds! Great rooms! Wonderful service!" about Harrison Conference Center/now called Forrestal - Plainsboro, NJ (Princeton), NJ

I have gotten this hotel through Priceline.com at spectacular rates...but even though we were budget customers you would not know it from the service. We were treated wonderfully. The rooms were great. One time they ended up being overbooked and we had a smaller room than usual on the other end over the bridge so they comped us for dinner. The food was very good as well. The rooms are all well appointed. There is a nice game room with pool and shuffleboard tables and big screen TV. The pool is very nice as is the spa and racquetball courts. They have everything in case you don't...workout wear, sneakers, racquets etc. Although it is a Merrill Lynch conference center made for business travelers I travelled with children/teens and it was just as great for them - in fact, I would rank it as one of my childrens favorite places to stay. On one of our stays at the Harrison (now called the Forrestal) we were there for a week visiting historical sites in Trenton and Philadelphia. ...

MomWith2Boys says "Learn An Important Life Lesson While Having Outrageous Fun!!!" about Rescue Zone - Bergenfield, NJ

Yesterday I had a surprise birthday party for my 9 year old son. This place is amazing! When I was looking into places for a party I was impressed when I stopped in on my way home noticing that it also had programs for scouts so I realized it was not only for the little ones. The place is spotless. Chief Ron takes time to explain all of the programs that they have to offer, their party packages etc. — — They have a real fire truck (sans engine) that the children get the opportunity to climb all over and try out everything while wearing genuine fire gear sized down to fit them perfectly. Although the bulk of party attendees were 8 and 9 years old boys, I also had 2 six year old girls, a five year old girl and a nearly 2 year old girl. I had a little boy just turned 3. The children all had fun on the truck. — — Next, a fireman comes down the pole dressed in gear and explains the masks and other gear that...

MomWith2Boys says "SMALL car is HUGE disappointment!" about 2007 Mazda MAZDA6

It was time for a new car. I have not had a 4 cylindar car since the first car I had at 17 (way too many years ago). I am most at home driving a V6. I was assured that 4 cylindar cars have come a long way since way back then. I have always heard that they get MUCH better gas mileage. I needed a low price lease and was pushed into this purchase by the salesmen on a Saturday evening (when I thought it would be safe to car shop as there wouldn't be time to be pushed). — — I had the car a few weeks when we took a trip to Virginia. In town I was getting barely 25 miles more to a tank than I did driving a 6 cylindar with the same size tank. Last year I had taken that car to Virginia and got 450 miles to my tankful on the way down. This year, in my brand new 4 cylindar Mazda6 we were packed in tight. There was barely room for the luggage in the trunk and I was packed light as it was mainly beachwear for me and my two...
