MimiKoussa says "Sturdy, zippy, roomy station wagon at the right price." about Subaru Legacy Station Wagon 1998

We bought our 1998 Subaru Legacy Station Wagon in the fall of 1997...fresh off the truck. So, it's almost 10 years old at this point with 130,000 miles on it. It's pretty amazing that the car still runs like a dream and seems to have at least another 5 good years left. Good old Japanese engineering!

   Dependability

We got the 100,000 miles warantee, and were happy that we did. The air conditioning stopped working about five years ago and was replaced for free. Other than that, most of the repairs have all been wear and tear. The legacy always gets high ratings on reliability in auto reports.

The only recurring annoyance is that the Legacy seems to loose its hubcaps more frequently than you might expect. And it's not just me. I've noticed other Legacy station wagons without their hubcaps and I've had other Legacy owner tell me the same thing. I've lost about a half a dozen hubcaps in 10 years.

The Legacy has great control on the roads and comes with...
...

MimiKoussa says "With sound like this, who needs a stereo?" about Bose - Companion 2 speakers

No wonder Bose has such a great reputation. I've never owned any of their speakers for my main system, but I can tell you that these multimedia speakers rock! I've honestly never heard such full, clear, realisitic sounds from a set of computer speakers. I listen to a lot of music on the computer for work, so I appreciate a great sound. This set is simple, offering only volume controls. The volume itself is impressive...I've never gotten over half volume. Any louder and you'd have to start your own night club.

For about $70 for the pair, they are a steal as far as quality. You do sacrifice any fine tuning capabilities that more pricey speakers may offer. There is a dual input which allows for one addition connection from another source. Nice to have that capacity. The more I can listen to through these speakers, the better.
...

MimiKoussa says "Money in the college funds with every purchase!" about Fidelity - 529 College Rewards Card

Let's face it. When it comes to trying to save $100k - $200k to send each of my two kids through college, I need all the help I can get. Gregory is 11 and Yasmine is six, so I've got some time.........but still.

I was thrilled when I discovered Fidelity's 529 College Rewards Card a few years ago. The card gives you 2% back on all of your purchases and automatically deposits that money in a Fidelity 529 account that you've established for your child. While 2% may not sound like much initially, it does add up, month after month, year after year. We've put away thousands for our kids this way. Admittedly, we have the advantage of owning a gift store, and we purchase all of our merchandise, and everything else we need, on these cards. This is a great tool for small business owners! We have a card for each child's account and use one at home and one at the business. If one or more of your relatives wants to join in the savings plan they can sign up for a Rewards card and have it linked...
...

MimiKoussa says "Tantalize your palate with a meal from Salsas" about Salsa's - Asheville, NC

Salsa Mexican/Carribean Restaurant is a gem in an already impressive downtown Asheville dining scene. Don't be fooled by the name....tacos and enchiladas it's not! Salsa's boasts the most eclectic, fresh, and downright delicious food of any restaurant of its kind. Peurto Rican born Hector Diaz is a culinary genius and his combinations never fail to entice even the most adventurous diner. With a heavy emphasis on fresh vegatables, interesting cheeses and savory meats, Saslas is an gastronomic experience not to be missed. I've recommended this place to visitors from all over the country and they have all loved it!

Salsas offers generous portions. I often leave with enough leftovers for lunch the next day. They also have great cocktails. The prices are reasonable.

On the downside, Salsas is a small restaurant and is often packed (a testment to the great food), making it a bit noisy. There's often a wait to get in. The service is sometimes slow. Despite this, I wouldn't...
...
