MichelleShops says "Not bad for fat free." about No Pudge Fudge Fat -Free Fudge Brownie Mix

I am by far kitchen challenged. I barely cook or bake. A co-worker made the No Pudge brownies for a work function. I was shocked to hear that the only ingredient you add is yogurt. I didn't believe it. She also mentioned you have to use the 8in x 8in pan. Well, I made these brownies one time using a brownie pan. Disaster. The brownies were too hard on the edges and too moist in the middle.

When I finally purchased the 8x8 pan, used the non-stick spray (Pam with Flour), 6oz Vanilla Bean yogurt these brownies came out perfect. Yes, the directions are true. Mix well and the batter will be thick. The directions left out that it's a pain to get the batter out of the mixing bowl. I baked my brownies for 30 minutes instead of the 34 as directed as I like my brownies more fudge like.

These brownies are simple to make and easy to cut. One word of advice, since they use yogurt, once they are cooled, store them in the refrigerator so they dont get bad fast. Take out 10 minutes...
...

MichelleShops says "Not even worth my $1 to rent" about Tropic Thunder

It was a miserable weekend here in the North East. There was rain and the temperatures were in the teens. Perfect weekend to sit home and curl up and watch some movies. Went to the Red Box and rented 5 movies. One of them, Tropic Thunder. Horrible. Lame. Stupid. Just plain bad. Boring plot. I am a huge fan of Ben Stillers. Even the movies all star cast couldn't hold me or my fiances attention. I wont even waste another breath of air on reviewing this.
...

If you are into chick-flicks, this is the movie for you. Sisterhod of the Traveling Pants - 2.

I loved this movie. The beginning is fairly slow but it starts to pick up abut 37 minutes into it. It's a good, clean, caring movie about 4 best friends who share this one pair of jeans that fits them all. They find love, peace and happiness in this movie. There are open wounds that need to be healed and it is believed that the pants, heal all. The pants finally disappear at the end and now are going on to heal and help others.

The scenery is amazing in this movie. The acting is good. Great cast. This movie will make you laugh and cry and make you want to call your mother just to tell her you love her.

...

MichelleShops says "So nice.... that it's stupid." about The House Bunny

You'l hear me say this 100 times but I am a total girly girl. House Bunny, the movie, was beyond stupid. I was a sorority girl in college and I can't remember ever acting like the girls in the movie. The movie was so lame. I can watch Mean Girls over and over, or even the classic, Heathers.

This was such a stereotypical movie about stupid sexy blondes. Classless. What about dumb brunettes playing the role? There are tons of Playmates that are brunette. What about a red head? No, House Bunny is based on a dumb, but somewhat attractive, blonde girl who seeks out to be Miss November's Playmate. She ends up on the streets and then a House Mother to ZETA sorority. The plot goes on and on and on.... and on. Boring. There were some cute moments but they don't out weigh the dulls.

Overall... two thumbs down.

...

I was one to never use drug store products on my face. I always thought cheap product, bad result or no results at all. I've read so many reviews in magazines that stated certain products were exactly the same just different packaging. So, I was skeptical.

One day, I decided to try Olay Regenerist Night Recovery Moisturizing Treatment for about $21.00. It went on like silk. It absorbed fairly quickly and didn't leave an oily residue on my face or on my pillow case. In the morning, my face felt like it had a mini-face lift. Skin felt quenched, nourished and tighter. I've used the treatment for about 3 months now and my skin tone has evened out. I havent had a pimple during this duration, either. My skin feels smoother and firmer. The elasticity in my cheeks has tighted up.

I am very into my skin. I will freak out the minute I find any "crows feet" or wrinkles. So far, I have none. Granted, you have to take care of your skin from a very early age and continue faithfully...
...

MichelleShops says "Not bad for a quick cup of coffee" about Braun Tassimo Coffee Maker

I have the Tassimo one cup coffee maker. I love the fact that it has a water purification filter in the water tank. However, the coffee is never strong enough. I have 6 different types of coffee that I bought and all are very weak. I know you can adjust the water level but if you want a 12oz cup of coffee, it's very mild and kind of dull.

Note: I like the brewing of the Tassimo better than the Keurig. Kuerig, though, has many more coffee choices to chose from.

All in all, this is a great, simply machine to operate. I am not a cook by all means nor do I like to be in the kitchen, Tassimo really delivers. Easy set up, easy to use and easy to brew.

Great gift, great looking for a kitchen counter and not a bad cup of coffee at all.

Costly machine. However, if you save your Bed, Bath & Beyond coupons, the Tassimo is a great deal.
...

I've been a member of Second Life for almost 2 years now. I enjoy it. I've met some really nice people to talk to. I've also met a bunch of pervs who I've muted (blocked). Second Life (known as SL) allows my alter ego to come out! :) I can have huge houses. I can travel the SL world and I can dress in all the latest fashions and not spend a fortunre.

SL allows me to log on at night and explore and talk to friends. One thing bad about SL is that the online population has grown so fast that the servers can't keep up with the demand. There is a lot of lag.

Log on and try SL. It's free and fun once you get the hang of it.
...

I have sailed with Regent Seven Seas Cruises (formally, Radisson) at least 22 times. This by far is my cruise line choice.

Service - White Glove, Perfection
Food - Fabulous.
Staterooms - All suites - all balcony.
Staff - Goes above and beyond.

Yes, RSSC is pricey. There are no teeny-boppers running around. No loud obnoxious teens and 20 year olds. Yes, this is an older crowd cruise line. However, I'd rather travel with adults than with kids.

The m/s Voyager is clean. The glass sparkles. The staff cleans morning, noon and night. The suites are pefectly sized (the smallest suite even has a balcony, walk-in closet and seperate sitting area).

There isn't a one thing I'd change about this ship. The Voyager is my favorite ship at sea.

Smaller ships can get you in and out of ports that the larger ships cant. There are no lines when disembarking or embarking. You are not treated like cattle here. No herds running up and down the gangway. You are not a number here, you are a person with...
...

My best friend decided to get married on the Majesty of the Seas by RCCL. I would never every recommend this ship to anyone unless they are:

1. 21 or younger
2. Looking for a fast hook-up
3. Needing a really cheap vacation

The ship was clean... but could be a lot cleaner. The rooms are small and smelly as there isnt much air flow throughout the long and tiny coridoors. The food, is about eual or worse than Olive Garden. The average age on this ship is about 25. A lot of the females traveling were dressed like they worked the streets and the guys thought they were back in 1980s. This is suppose to be a family ship. Wrong. Who would take their kids to a makeout session by the pool playing overly loud hip-hop/rap music? Not me. The drinking is out of hand and the bartendars do not cut people off, and they should. Girls started flashing people. Tacky and tasteless.

The ports of call were great.
MichelleShops says "2nd Fav Scent" about Prada Infusion d Iris Eau de Parfum 200ml

Prada. Everyone knows this name globally. Prada is known for haute couture fashions in clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories. Prada is now becoming known for their perfume. I am simply inlove with their newest perfume, Infusion d Iris. At first I wasn't so sure about this scent. I thought it smelled pretty old lady-ish (no offense to anyone). It reminded me of moth balls and must. However, after wearing it for more than an hour, the scent wore off and left behind a scent that is not common. Not woods, rosey or anything like that. It reminds me of that fresh just out of the shower scent. I love it.

Be warned, the spray is like a fire hose... comes out fast and a lot. The bottle is also hard to grip. Other than that, great new breezy scent.
...

I am perfume obsessed. With owning over 40 different brands I simply love Viktor & Rolfs, Flower Bomb. I would say this is my signature scent. The perfume is potent. Goes on strong but quickly wears off leaving a clean, fresh and mature scent. This isn't for the woman who wear Liz Claiborn or Benneton. This scent is somewhat costly. However, 3 squirts and it lasts all day. Scent doesnt make you itch, skin burn when applied or water your eyes for you contact lense wears.

This is a perfect Holiday gift for that special woman in your life.
...

MichelleShops says "So girly but full of features." about LG - Lotus Cell Phone

I just purchased my new purple LG Lotus cell phone. For starters, it's an odd shape being square instead of rectangle. Kind of reminds me of a makeup compact. It's a little tough to navigate through until you either read the instructions or take a few hours to play with it. I did both. I learned a lot with the instructions as they do walk you through step by step - but - I also learned on my own by trial and error.

I am a total girly girl, so the purple with the swirly vines on the cover of the phone really caught my eye. It has music controls on the front lid as well as the camera. Note: The camera lense is right where you'd hold the phone, so be careful so you don't take photos of your thumb or index finger. The keys are a little tight and close together but typing is so much easier. I love that the numbers on the keypad are purple - makes dialing easier. The color screen is vibrant and true, a big plus. You don't have to squint to read texts, emails or the web.
...

For chemically treated hair and for a person with no budget, Alterna Caviar Anti-Aging hair products are for you. Not only do I color my hair, I high-light it as well. I am at the salon every 4-5 weeks. My hair is damaged by color, sun and heat (such as a blow dryer). I used Fekkai for over 2 years and decided it was time to try something new. My stylist turned me on to Alterna. What a difference. From your first wash on, your hair becomes transformed.

I use the shampoo and matching conditioner. My hair went from dry and somewhat brittle to sleek and glossy in a matter of a month. My hair now holds my style a lot better. Less fly-a-ways, less split ends and full of life and volume.

Alterna is a bit pricey, about $35 a bottle but well worth it if you want your hair to look like a million. Smells great, lathers well - and you don't need to use a lot like if you were to use a cheaper brand. A bottle, for average length hair, and 4-5 times a week washing, will last 3-4 months. ...
...

MichelleShops says "No kick in the AWD model" about Lexus IS - 2007

Lexus IS 250 AWD - 2007

If you are looking for a car that has clean lines, sporty look and AWD this car is for you.

If you are looking for HP, good gas mileage and trunk space, this car is not for you.

I have the 2007 IS 250 AWD. Great looking car. Small interior. The backseat doesn't fold down but gives you a pass through. What was Lexus thinking? You can't fit much in the tiny trunk. Granted the seats are heated and cooled, the Nav system is pretty good, the bluetooth is great for hands free and the climate control is pretty easy to operate. However, at 204 HP, there is no power when trying to merge with highway traffic. Another con, the car uses Premium gas. The seats are somewhat comfortable. You can not fit 4 -6ft people in this car. Lexus lied. I am 5'8" and with me and my fiance in the car, we can not fit taller people in the backseat. Yes, we can fit our dogs or someone's small children comfortably but 6ft people, no way. The Nav system does not play DVDs, only...
...

MichelleShops says "Small Dog with Big Personality" about Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie

Six years ago I was in a local pet store who only purchases dogs from breeders, not puppy mills. I saw this little Yorkie in the bed and I picked him up. I walked with this dog on my shoulder for an hour. I was hooked. However, the price was sky high. Such a high price for a little dog. I put the dog back and walked out. To my surprise I received the dog as a gift 5 days later.

Bentley. That's my dog name. He is so smart. Have you ever seen the bumper stickers, "My Yorkie is smarter than your honor student"? Well, that is him. He learned his name in 3-5 days. He was house trained, on puppy pads, within a week. It took a while for him to learn to go up and down the stairs as he was smaller then them! The dog knows so many commands, sit, come, toy, upstairs, downstairs, outside, leash, walk, front yard, back yard, car, bye-bye, treat, food, kitche, bed time, night night, etc... he learned all by just talking to him daily. I never had to sit with him and train him....
...

MichelleShops says "Say hello to beautiful skin" about Origins A Perfect World

A Perfect World - Deep Cleanser with Green Tea.

I went from using LaMer to Origins. Mind you, I like to change my beauty routine every 9-12 months. Like your body, your skin needs change. I love that Origins does not test on animals and is environmentally friendly. OK, I'm not a Prius driver but I do care about Mother Earth.

I purchased Origins in the past and was satisifed with their products. When I saw A Perfect World come out, I had to have it. The Deep Cleanser with Green Tea is WOW! You only need about a pea sized amount to wash your face. The cleanser is not greasy and washes out easily with a few splashes of water. I know all directions say to use luke warm water, I use cold. I strongly believe cold water helps your skin look smoother over time. But don't mind me, I'm not a dermatologist. The cleanser scent, to me, is a little strong.

If you need to wash away make-up and feel your skin tingle with clean... this is a great product. For $20.00 you can't go wrong. ...
...

MichelleShops says "So cheap and very chic." about Ulta Eye Shadow Singles

Ok. I use to spend $300+ on hair color touch-ups every 4 weeks. I am a bit anal about my hair, makeup and facial products. I am use to spending over $25 for an eye shadow. My vanity consists of mostly YSL, Chanel and Bobbi Brown products (a few MAC, too). This past weekend I saw a sale at Ulta for BOGO free offer for their makeup line. So, for $7 I said, lets give the eye shadow singles a shot. What do I have to lose, $7? That's a daily trip to Starbucks. Anywho... I bought "Naked", the new formula for my brow bone. Let me just say this, simply amazing. The color is perfect. There is a slight shimmer in it. The color slides on and stays on. It's not all chalky and flaky. The color stayed on the applicator brush and didn't poof into air when I placed on my brow bone. Amazing. I'm going back tonight to buy about 10 more colors. WIth this economic crisis the US is in right now, for $7 you can't beat this deal, especially when its BOGO! Go out, grab a few and have fun with......
