Meyereh says "Canon 40D is a Great camera " about Canon - 40D

My husband an I were one of the first to purchase the Canon Digital Rebel when it first came out. After many faithful years of service we decided to retire the Rebel and move up to the Canon 40D. The only thing that had gone bad on the Rebel was the shutter, and the 40D offered a shutter warrentee as well as a more sturdy body. It also has the new processor and many of the features that have come out in the years since the Rebel was first put on the market. The larger LCD screen for viewing images is great and I love the scroll wheel for navagating through pictures. The image quality is amazing. I am suprised at how easily I can pick out pictures taken from this camera versus pictures taken from my old Rebel or our more compact digital Minolta. I am also loving the fast fps rate. I always felt like I was missing important shots waiting on my Rebel to catch up. With the 40D, I am sure to capture every shot I want. I like the Canon brand and was able to use all of my existing lenses......

Meyereh says "I loved the Bumbo Baby Seat!" about Bumbo Baby Seat

When my mother purchased this for me and my son, I initially thought it looked a little strange and was not sure how much I would use it. I also thought that it was a little expensive. I ended up using it like crazy! My son was not old enough to sit up on his own yet, which made getting things done very difficult. I had tried laying him down on a blanket, putting him in a bouncy chair, but he did not like to be reclined or laying down. After getting the Bumbo Seat, anytime I needed to set my son down to do dishes, unload the dish washer, fold clothes, etc., I would place him in it. He was able to sit upright and look at everything around him. He was very content to sit in the chair and watch me work. I also used the seat for some feedings when he was too small for his highchair. He would often times have a bowel movement when sitting in the chair, I am not sure why. (We have already purchased the Bumbo toilet seat trainer for that upcoming stage.) The chair also cleaned up easily......

Meyereh says "Worked well, but burned out early. " about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

I was blessed with a very crabby baby. After many days and nights without rest, we decided to try the Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing. It was a life saver. I was able to set our baby down and clean the house, make dinner, etc. I wish that the cradle itself was a little more comfortable. The cover did not add much cushion to the hard plastic body. I also had a very hard time taking the cover on and off. It seemed like the cover was too small to go over the plastic body. I liked that the cradle could change swinging directions. This was helpful in small rooms. The swing is very big and does take up quite a bit of space. We also had trouble with the leg supports becoming loose and making awful creaking noises. My husband had to tighten or realign them frequently after about 2 months of use. Sadly, after 3 months of using the swing, the motor burned out and would no longer make the swing motion. We used the swing a lot, but I don't think it should have broken so quickly.......

Meyereh says "First Response was positive many days before other tests. " about First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test

When my husband and I started trying to get pregnant, I purchase 5 different pregnancy tests. I guess I wanted to be very prepared. 5 days before my missed period I used a generic Biggs grocery store pregnancy test. The test was negative. I was feeling slightly disappointed and because I was very excited and a little crazy, I tried again that same hour with the First Response pregnancy test. This test revealed a very light positive line. I was so excited! I immediately had my husband go out to the drug store and purchase another First Response test since I had used my only one in that type. He came back with a bag full of First Response pregnancy tests. I used another one and it was positive also. Again, because I am a little crazy, I used another pregnancy test 2 days later. First Response was now clearly positive and the grocery store brand was still negative. 3 days after my missed period I tried the grocery store brand again, it was still negative. The grocery store brand......

Meyereh says "Medela In Style Breast pump was my best baby product purchase!" about Medela Pump In Style Advanced Backpack

When I first found out I was pregnant, I immediately knew I was going to be breastfeeding my baby. With all of research out today, I am a strong believer in breastfeeding for the health of your baby. Maternity leave only lasts so long, and I wanted to keep breastfeeding past 3 months time. In order to do this, I would have to find a breast pump to take to work with me and keep my milk production going, even when I was away from my baby. I went to a breastfeeding class where the breast pump options were discussed. They reviewed manual pumps, automatic pumps, single pumps, and dual pumps. I was really feeling overwhelmed about this important decision. I did A LOT of research online. Finally I decided to go with the more expensive, Medela In Style Advanced Double Electric Breastpump Backpack. A few months later my baby was born and had to be in the NICU for a week. He was unable to nurse for the first few days. In order to get my milk to come in, I used the hospital grade pump for......
