I get up to have my cup of white tea. Why white tea? Because it is sooo good for me. Then with breakfast I have my cup of instant FOLGERS. You know, the best part of getting up is FOLGERS in my cup. Now, realize, this cup is not a delicate, small cup; it is a full 8-oz. large cup. I limit myself to the one cup per day. But, when it is gone, I am very sad. — Now, the reason I need the white tea-- In this behemoth cup of FOLGERS I have 2 T. sugar and 4 oz. whole milk. Umm, umm! — ...

I have a home-made firepit where I cook any- and every-thing. First of all, I love to build the wood fire and smell the smoke therefrom. Then when the coals are just right, I love to cook over the wood fire. I use different types of wood for cooking, depending on what is available. Pecan wood, oak wood, orange wood. The key is not to start cooking until the coals are right. When they are just right, I cook steak, chicken, vegetables--whatever is on the menu. My family enjoys the fire and my cooking, so we do this often. — ...

I looked around for an automobile insurance that was cheap, and came up with Allstate. I can't go overboard on the number of stars allocated to them because I have not filed a claim. Filing a claim is the pudding, so to speak--(proof is in the pudding). And, by the way, I just as soon go on in the dark about their handling of a...

Farm Bureau really shines when they are on your side handling a claim, automobile or homeowners. They are especially outstanding if you happen to have an agent who is a friend. But--isn't there always a but--they are expensive. When I first started out with them, they were in the medium range in premiums. As years went by, they started to increase the premium, seemed like, every...

With Hillary Clinton, I feel I know her all too well. Eight years of any Clinton was more than enough. — First of all, you better not believe anything that comes out of her mouth. Second, don't depend on any of her campaign promises. Third, we don't need government-run health care. They've been running Medicate for years now. It's just a big scam, providing only 80% of the bare necessities. So, the government should stay out of health care. Fourth, don't trust her. Her husband and she are involved with other countries, so much so that a Chiinese fund-raiser contributes vast amounts of monies to her campaign. — We know enough here to be sure she does not get the job. —...

I do not like any other brand of jelly beans; Great Value has the taste of each color bean as it should be. The main color everyone wants to change is green. Green jelly beans are supposed to be lime flavor; with all the other brands, you get everything from sour apple to watermelon. But then of course, the other colors are different too. — I think the reason this is so important is I grew up with these flavors; now it is important that the flavors remain the same. — Thank you, Great Value. —...

McArt says "Propaganda film, very entertaining" about Rendition

This movie is a very today movie--terrorists against the bad guy, the USA. I consider this to be a propaganda movie giving a spin to things like water-boarding and other heart-felt tortures. The "terrorist" they were trying to get information from never succumbed to the water-boarding; which, in real life, breaking under water-boarding is very quick. The underlying current was about character. The character of the foreign torture chief was that of a cold, calculating thug who didn't mind any torture they used. The character of the USA counter-part was that of a intelligent, compassionate, down-to-business professional. — The movie ended with the "terrorist" being released and returned "home" to the USA. I think he was a genuine terrorist who beat the system and got away with murder. ...

McArt says "Netflix solved my problem." about Netflix

Years ago when I wanted a movie, I went to the local movie rental store on my weekly trip to town. I would be in the store for a long time looking for a movie that suited me that day. Then the cost of the movies started going up; and that plus the hassle of picking a movie and then getting it back by the required day finally caused me to stop renting movies at the local store. — On the internet one day I stumbled upon Netflix. Of course, I was a little doubtful about all they claimed to be, but I decided to check it out. That was in September, 2006. It has been nothing but a love relationship on my part since it began. — I sit in the comfort of my house and select movies from an endless smorgasbord of movies; after I order, the movies arrive exactly as I expect; I keep the movies as long as I want, then remail them to Netflix; the postage to and from me paid by Netflix. All this service for a reasonable monthly...

McArt says "The cost of a postage stamp is set to go up again." about Postage cost increase

Middle of January when I was in the post office, I told the clerk I needed a roll of 41-cent stamps. Then laughing, I added, "That is, if the price isn't going up before I can use them." Of course, I was thinking about the last couple of years when it seemed the postage stamp increased in price every few months there for awhile. The clerk laughed too and said that she didn't know of any increases planned. — Well, here it is middle of February, and over a news program, I recently heard that the cost of stamps is set to go up in May, this year. — I don't think I can use all those stamps before May. So then I will have to buy more stamps to go with the 41-cent stamps, and have to put two stamps on each piece of mail rather than one. — Every time an item increases in price, the size of my dollar gets smaller. The gas pump and grocery store price increases have caused my dollar to shrink in value to about the size of a...

I've tried three different times to watch HBO's "Deadwood" western series. The show has a good story line, good actors. But, first of all, the foul language is atrocious. Second, the language the wrtiers have these frontiers-people speaking is ridiculous. It's hard to understand the meaning of the words they're saying--all but the cursing. — I don't have any way to prove it, but I believe the language in the real wild west may have been colorful but not grossly obnoxious. It sounds like it came from the streets of today. Then the actual verbage and sentence structure is baffling, to say the least. — HBO, what are you people trying to do--make us believe that Shakespeare wrote it?...
