Before Directv, I had regular TV. I had Comcast come to my house five times. FIVE TIMES. They still couldn't/wouldn't install the ^%$#%&(* cabie.

I called Directv, and had a working system within five hours.

Sometimes, in really bad weather, the signal will go out, but no one has died from not having TV briefly.

The price DOES keep going up and up and up. I can't compare that to cable, though, because I don't know what their rates are.

Verizon is the only cell phone provider I have ever used. Whenever there has been a service issue, the response has been reasonable and timely.

My kids call our Ford Taurus station wagon The MomMobile, but it does everything we need it to. You can stuff it full of kids, people, groceries, STUFF. I have hauled everything that my kids own up to college, and it all fit in the station wagon.

The mileage is decent for a car that isn't touted as a really efficient car. It lasts, though, so I am being environmentally conscious by holding onto the car for many years.
