Magikcat13 says "Great, yet addictive site" about Neopets

This site has been around for quite some time. It was started by college students, for college students as an alternative to going out and spending money on entertainment. Especially since college students don't usually have money to spend on entertainment. Although over the years it has gone from kid friendly to kid oriented over the years (after all parents spend money, college students don't). — — It is, and will remain, a free site, however over the years to keep it running they have added banners and ads throughout the site. This does tend to slow things down. — — There are hundreds of games, from originals to arcade classics with a Neopets spin. They have a few site wide story-lines/plots each year for anyone and everyone to join. You can earn trophies, avatars, run a gallery or store, dress/customize your pets, do quests, or chat on the message boards. This is really only a sampling of what you can do as it would be much too long a list to state...

Magikcat13 says "Massive website, an artists dream." about Dick Blick Art Materials

Many people will recognize the little Dick Blick logo man from their school days. This massive store has been around for ages, and not only caters to the artist but also schools. They have everything from professional artists materials and school/fun pack for children. They also carry an array of special needs products. Depending on what you are looking for their prices range from under a dollar to in the thousands. — — When I was attending the Art Institute I was required to have a wide range of materials, and being like many other college students I was broke. I shopped around on-line, and Dick Blick consistently came in at the top of the list for low prices. With lists in hand I was able to find everything I needed for my various classes, at lower prices and buy everything all at once and take advantage of their free shipping for purchases over $200. I have literally saved hundreds if not thousands over the years using this company. —...

Magikcat13 says "Wide range of products, decnet prices, and great cust. service." about Drugstore.com

I've been shopping at Drugstore.com for quite some time now. With the free shipping options and vast array of products, I am able to catch sales and save money on these items. They are also partnered with MyPoints and Upromise, so each time you buy credit is given to you. Those few pennies going to my student loans are a lifesaver. — — I have only had one problem with them in the past, but it was a huge one. I have ordered almost everything and anything from this company without problem so I decided to order some Fabreeze. When I got the box it was completely soaked and the bottle was 3/4 empty. The box was ruined and all of the contents were soaked in chemicals and unusable. The packer not only didn't bother to include any air bags (as they usually do), but also didn't even bother to include the invoice! Being after business hours (and not expecting an response for a couple of days) I sent a rather irritated email to their customer service. — — Three or...

Magikcat13 says "Fingerhut has changed over the years." about Fingerhut

Fingerhut has changed over the years. They now carry a much wider range of products targeting many audiences, from older adult to young urbanite. They also carry many brand name products that a history of quality, but you can find them almost anywhere else for a lower price. I really suggest investing some time in research, it can save you quite a bit for the same product. — — Additionally the company is not one to mess about with when it comes to their charge card. While having a charge card can be wonderful for credit building, I would take a second look at this company before applying. If you choose to apply do not purchase anything you can't already afford. The account will be on your credit report as soon as you open it, and if you are ever late you will get phone calls (mind you when you pay by phone there are extra fees as well). They are very serious and if you don't stay just as serious about making your payments it can actually do more damage than good to your...
