As the Sephora.com page for the Kat von D Concealer states: this is a heavy-duty, highly pigmented, transfer-resistant and water resistant concealer. It is oil-free - which is a HUGE bonus.

Every other concealer I have ever tried has ended up floating of a layer of oil and sweat produced by my skin during the working day. So, when I use the phone, I leave sticky face prints on it, when I change clothes, the makeup transfers to the clothes (which is usually impoosible to remove), and it looks streaky and chalky.

Not so with Kat's new product. I didn't buy it to cover tats, even though I have 2, but to cover up the dark circles under my eyes that are a gift to me from my DNA and accentuated by each additional birthday. I also have a reddish cast to my nose and lower cheeks due to lupus (an autoimmune medical condition).

I gave up on trying to find concealers after the miracle of the mineral concealer was announced a few years ago. It resulted in the same condition I described above,...

I appreiate that I can taste my coffee and tea without the usual artificial overtone that exist in ALL of the artficial sweeteners. PureVia was unexpectedly fantasti - I had tried Stevia based sweetners in the past - mostly brands that are sold in health food stores, all of which had a bitter aftertaste. I was so please with PureVia - I bought two (2) additional boxes: 2 for home and 1 for work!

I am teaching a night cass for adults at a local high school in Beginning Polymer Clay jewelry/art design. Armed with a barely adequate budget, I shopped for several hours narrowing my choices to three different stores on the web. The type of items I need are not sold in local stores. So, I have to turn to the web - which I do not mind - in fac, I prefer to shop from the comfort of my own couch.

I placed my order - and I had an issue with their shiping rates - they semed extraorinarily high, so I added a note along with my order asking someone to please call me about the shipping costs - and specifically inquired about Priority FLate Rate mail options offered by the USPS .

Stumbled upon this chain of stores ("THe Nordstrom Rack", affectionally called "The Rack.")while vacationing in CA. It is the TJMaxx of Nordstroms, only the quality of the clothes are much better than TJMaxx. Mid-level designer clothes are available (Calvin Klein, Jones New York, Lucky, Juicy, Susan Lawrence, Karen Kane, Don Hardy, etc.) at wonderfully low prices, true designer clothes (Elie Tahari, Prada, etc) at major discounts (say, $500 for a $1500 item) and certain clothing lines made especially for Norstrom. The shoe department is Imelda's dream - everything from Keen and Ecco to Cole-Hahn and Manolo. They have an entire discount section of Neutrogena products, Palladio makeup, other makeup lines I cannot recall, Bliss products, BedHead, Paul Mitchell, etc. Their sunglass collection is immense - their costume jewelry is quality stuff and well-priced. The lingere is one of my favorite sections. I wear a rare bra size that I cannot find in any store except a lingere specialty...

So you live in the Boston area. You have relatives in the New Jersey area yuo haven't seen in years - you have just recenty reconnected. You need to get there within a few days - so booking a plane flight that was lesss than $700 was impossible - (plus, I couldn't find a relative that wanted to pick me up at either Newark OR Philly. I an't blame them.) But, you do not want to drive all the way down to South Jersey. The traffic, the gas prices, getting sleepy behind the wheel, can't frive a standard that long due to several back surgeries??? The alternative is...Amtrak. I took Amtrak from Boston (I chose the 128 Station - less crowded and no traffic) to the "Metro Station" in NJ, and returned on the Acela train 4 days later. I was sared to at first because of the "rif-raf" problem I had on the train 8 yrs ago on a Boston to VA Bch trip. Alas, my hears were waylaid as I settled into my comfy seat on the southbound "Northeast Corridor" train. They have a shack car - and BONUS - a "quiet...

No longer will the consumer be left withonly one choice for inexpensive travel. Virgin American has clearly come to the forefront of the travel world and cleanly shoved Southwest aside as the cost-conscious consumer's choice for travel. (Granted, Virgin America only has a few routes at present, but I guarantee that they will be adding more as their popularity grows.)

Why is Virgin America so great?

1) Roomy seats - when the person in front of you relines your tray table isn't shoved into your gut. And, no more bald heads literally in your face! The seats are also leather(?) on a moulded modern plastic frame. In the seat back, is the entertainment and communication module - more on that later.

2) Good, no-GREAT Food! Now that we have to pay for food on flights, it might as well be good. And, it sure is. Prices for meals range from $7-$9. (I recommend the Fruit and Cheese box, the Mandarin Chicken Wrap and the Chicken Salad Wrap. Snacks are also offered, as well as specialty...

I was converted to Macs by my now-husband back in 2003. It is probably one of the reasons why I married him! I have owned and used all the successive models of MacBooks (including the Pro and the Air), and this is the best one yet. Everything is easy to use, intuitive, and visually based. I am a visual person - I like to watch things work and know what is happening to my documents, pictures, etc. In addition to never seeing the "blue screen of death," I can transfer files from one place to another - I just pick them us (as I would in real life) and put it in the new place. Other competitive products (which I am sure I don't have to name) make you go through a "click and pick" method - opening several new screens to accomplish this task, and then pray to the God of Computing that your file actually went where you wanted it to. Frequently, files that are being moved get thrown in random folders that you can't find. Nothing is worse than losing stuff that you just worked on, telling your...

These SalonPas-HOT patches were a gift from my kind hubby, who sees me suffer with my chonic back and neck pain daily. Always in search of a non-opoid pain releif method, he is willing to research items himself and share what he finds with me. Quite often, we hit the jackpot. This is one of those products. The large size covers my entire lower back - the painful area. Especially effective post-injection/nerveblock. I would not recommend the patch for a hairy area. I am sure you can imagine why! :)
I always keep some on hand - you never know when things will flare up, especially when you are away from home, at work, in a meeting etc. Best thing is that there is no "locker room" scent of menthol, wintergreen, or cinnamon.
I found mine at CVS - they were on a bottom shelf.

OMG. If you LOVE those bunches of good clumps of brown sugar/honey, and nuts and oatmeal that exist in several "healthy" cereals, but dislike when you run out of them and are left with a pile of soggy, unappealing flakes in your bowl, this is the cereal for you. This "just Bunches" (from the people who brought you the "Honey Bunches of Oats" cereal, Post) idea may seem like granola - which is what my hubby said - but then he tried it and now is a believer too - this is the best idea! A small bowl is filling - it makes a great addition to ice cream, yogurt, or just by the handful. We bought some today for $2.50 a box. Find a decent tasting granola-ish product for that money - I dare ya!...

The Fat Cat restaurant is a place you may find on Newbury Street in Boston - but, no - Quincy was lucky enough to be chosen as the site for this absolute jewel of a restaurant. The menu ranges from a "loaded hot dog" to daily fresh fish and local gain specials. Literally, EVERYONE in your group of friends can find something they like here. I recommend starting off with the famed Lobster Mac and Cheese as an appetizer for at least 4 people. Then, share a plate of black sesame wings. For the entree, I go for the halibut on the menu, but they frequently have halibut specials also. The ribs are also a great choice - only get the full rack if you are wicked hungry! Don't forget to try a unique microbrew from their selection - and check out the HOT bartender with all the tattoos! And, say Hi to Neil, the owner, and ask him to show you a picture of his pet cat that gave the restaurant its name!!!...

Yes-believe the "encapsulated" pain releif blah blah blah of the ads. I have literally tried EVERY OTC and RX product for pain releif. This stuff really does help! I won't bore you with my medical history and chronicle of my aches and pains, but if it can help the residual pain I feel even while I am taking very potent RX pain meds, it WORKS. I can go to sleep a lot easier thanks to this product.

I have been with USAA since I was 17. That is more than 25 years. I can't think of any other company that I could even think of staying with that long. I have had approximately 5 claims with them, all resolved without hassle. Even when I moved to the non-insurance friendly state of MA, they were very helpful and understanding....

Years of trying every possible brand of mascara (including the REALLY expensive kinds since I was lucky enough to work at a high end department store) lead me to disbeleive every ad I saw for mascara. But, I still tried them all. I don't wear much more than eye makeup and lip color, so making my eyes look good is a priority. I think the secret of the success of this product is the bruush - plus of course the quality of the product (L'oreal rocks!). This mascara just works wonderfully, as it is supposed ot (In my opinion), is easy to remove, and reasonably priced....

We frequently get together with five friends to play games - usually the old-fashioned kind. Not too different, except that we are all over 40. So, we get this Wii system - OK, fun, never thought anything much more would happen with it except getting some exercise playing the games that came with it. Then, hubby brings home this Wario Ware Smooth Moves. I never laughed so hard in my life!! The game is a series of very short "mini games" that involve the use of the "form baton" in funny-to-watch-others-do such as the Elephant and the Waiter. It is a fast moving hilarious way for a group of people to have some good old fashioned fun. Sorry kiddies, no sexy stuff here - there is a bit of violence, but no more than what we say on the Bugs Bunny Road Runner Hour as kids. This game is the most fun I have had since...well...I can't remember. Maybe being over 40 has something to do with that.... :)...

Want to do more than just shoot bad guys and race around a track? Wii is the way to go. It makes you actually part of the gaming process, not just a couch lump pressing button wildly. The available games not only improve coordination and fine motor skills, but provide actual brain-enancing benefits. I am over 40, and I have noticed a huge difference in my ability to concentrate at work (I do lots of technical stuff) and my dexterity in handling small objects and tasks. I have a mild case of rheumatoid arthritis, and this game has actually helped my hands and feet feel better (because in many cases, you are standing up and moving around).
We buy our games used at various gaming stores and on half.com. They are no more expensive than other system's games.

Facebook is fun - even for older (i.e., over 30) folks. Me and my friends always have Scrabble games going, trivia contests, etc. I am NOT able to get onto anyone's page that is NOT a "friend." In fact, you cannot even be a friend of someone until they invite you and/or you are accepted. I have had no problems with security issues on the site.

If the young folk want to post their soft-porn/drunken photos on their websites - and somehow a potential employer see them - hey - better for those of us that don't do such nonsense - may then we will be considered for the job. In other words, their ignorance takes them out of the running for jobs I ma be applying for-so there!!

I don't understand the negative reviews - I have not had/seen any problems, nor have my friends. We are all well-educated professionals, not internet newbies.

To each his own, I guess.

Great doc, great staff! Offers nitro (many docs don't) as a option during ANY procedure. Gives the least painful shots as he knows the latest techniques for minimizing discomfort. Not after making money any way he can-is honest about treatment options and allows the patient to take a role in treatment planning. Good sense of humor - tells jokes and sings (he used to be in a rock band years ago) - always has good music playing - always has current magazines. Office staff friendly and helpful - always smiling!!...

Fast, well built, and heavy (good for handling). Could get better mileage (I get 28.1 on the average - has a calculator built in). Has the best packages - heated seats, auto climate control, auto windshield wipers, back-up alarm. Get high safety ratings consistantly. Definitely would buy another one....

Found this product by accident. Was looking for something else in another line and the Bliss counter was right there - the girl working the counter was honest and helpful, even about products not in the Bliss line. She gave me a free facial and several free samples. Tried the Yourth as we Know It. Bought a jar the next week. I am now on my 2d jar - loving it! (A jar lasts me about 2 months. Smells good, works as advertised, makes me look younger. Honestly. Even my doctor thought I was 10 years younger. No kidding - this stuff ROCKS. Just be sure to exfoliate at least 2x a week - this product will cause your dead skin to slough off as you are applying it (little rolls of dead skin) if you do not exfoliate. No pain - all gain!!!

Update 8/22/09: STill the best stuff available for the $$$. I have intensely researched, spoke with doctors (derms) and tried different products. To get what this Bliss product offers - you would have to buy at least 3 different products from other brands. ...
