http://www.viewpoints.com/aboutme/Ladyartist Thu, 12 Feb 2009 22:04:27 GMT Reviews by Ladyartist http://www.viewpoints.com/My-Points-review-81153 I have been a member of My Points for years.  The idea is that you earn points for surfing the web from emails that the company sends you.  You usually earn 5 points each and they can over time add up and be redeemed for free gift cards.  I usually use them at Christmas when money is tight.  Lots of cards in lots of different categories are available.  My family's favorites are restaurants like Applebee's and clothing stores like JC Penny's.  Of course, if you do the actual shopping and make a purchase, you will earn points more quickly.  For example, if you made a purchase from Office Depot through the website portal you would earn points according to the dollars spent.  If you were going to be online anyway or you would have made purchases from a certain company you might as well earn points while doing it.  It is like a neat discount that is built in but you can redeem it when it is convenient to you.  Most of the gift cards take 1000- 5000 points to redeem for them....
