Cash back is awesome! I actually have the precursor to the blue card-- the Amex Green cash-back card- but the rewards are the same. The customer service is amazing-- when I have had issues with merchants or a charge, the customer service is always ready to help as an advocate on my side....

Purchased a MacBook Pro (Aluminum) in late 2006 and love it! It was my third Mac; my first was a 1Ghz Titanium PowerBook G4. I have come to appreciate Mac OS X and love the blend of Unix command line capability with easy GUI customizability and friendly media applications. The combination of this machine with VMWare Fusion is an absolutely killer combination for anyone in systems/network administration, web or application development!

So far my machine is still going strong-- the battery at roughly 300 charge cycles no longer lasts nearly as long as it did when new. I only get 2 maybe 2.5 hours on a full charge at this point. The latch has failed to close on a few occassions; the first time, the machine was still under warranty so AppleCare fixed it. Recently it happened again and some jiggling of the mechanism caused it to unstick itself. I have had issues with the optical drive with previous Mac laptops, and while this one has not failed yet, it has started to produce a few......

I purchased the red washer/dryer pair (WM2487HRM) in November 2006 for our new house. It worked well for us, up until last week when we noticed a pool of water that had started under the machine. Web searches show that this has been a common complaint on this model. Most posts suggest that the front door seal is leaking, this however was not my problem. I decided to take the machine apart in order to avoid a costly service call and discovered that the water was leaking- ever so slowly- from what looks like the "steam generator" at the top of the machine.

Therefore if other people are having troubles with their WM2487HRM or WM2487HWM machines leaking water mysteriously, try replacing the steam generator unit. You can see a picture of this part by googling 3111ER1001D (labeled ever so helpfully as the "Case Assembly"). Mine was leaking at the bottom seam between the plastic and metal -- remember that there is LIVE electricity in this area- do not touch while the unit is plugged......
