Kirsib says "Winter proof your house the easy way" about Dap DAP ALEX PLUS Easy Caulk

We live in an older house with some drafty windows and I cannot afford to change those at the moment. So I was looking for a simple way to seal some nooks and corners before the old man winter is upon us again. — — I bought this easy caulk at the local store for under $5 and I think it has already paid itself back many times over in our heating bills for this fall. — — All you do is unscrew the top and tip the application towards the edge of your windows seals or other cracks you want to seal. It is that easy! — — It should be over 40 degrees outside when you use this caulk and surface should be dry and as clean as possible. I did use it in my window panels when the windows were little misty and I tried to dry them off but later on this stuff just peeled off. I redid those windows when we had a warm sunny day and the windows are staying dry now and so far after few weeks and many frosty nights my windows have not steamed like they used to....

Kirsib says "Little DVD player which is fine for us!" about Magnavox - DVD/CD Player DP100MW8

My oldest son got a new guitar with some DVD lessons. He likes to watch those DVDs and practice and repeat different lessons and it was obvious that he needed another place to do it exept our livingroom with the only DVD player we had. And moving the big DVD player around the house got very unpractical so we decided to look for a simple player to use on a small TV on his room. — — This unit was the second cheapest in our local Walmart and we decided to buy it for about $30 which is not a bad price if you ask my opinion! — — It is very light and small unit and setting it up is a snap. You really cannot mess it up, just two cables to screw in with color coordinating hints. I liked that, I hate any complicated installations! — — The cheapest player had the top open case like CD players and this one holds the DVD (or your CD!) inside so it looked less flimsy for the extra $5. We've used ours for about a month now without a problem. I also heard that...

Kirsib says "This economical heater surprised me, I'm very happy with it!" about Patton MaxFlow Radiant Heater

This fall we looked for alternative heating options in addition to our kerosene which is very expensive right now. So we looked for a space heater to heat only the part of the house we are in at the daytime while kids are at school to save in the heating bills. — — We decided to buy this economical unit from Walmart to see how it works. I was very doubtful about this one, it was only $25 dollars so how good can it be? — — Now I'm absolutely amazed by it! Heater is little under 22 inches wide and 7 inches wide but it is very good heater! And the great thing about it is that it stays cool to the touch around the grill no matter how long it runs. — — There is no sharp corners for my kids to get hurt on and I try to keep it away from any furniture and nothing aroun it has been warm to the touch as of yet. The safety is very important for me with children around! — — It comes with overheat caution light and an alarm and automatically...

Kirsib says "This product helps my baby and me sleep better!" about Medisana Ultrasonic Personal Humidifier with Timer

My husband bought this humidifier for me after seeing it on QVC. I've had it now for four days and so far I'm very happy with the product. This is light and super easy to set up. If you fill it all the way to 20 ounces it will run for 9 hours which means all night for us! — — You can also set it up for intervals for your office or anywhere you want to and it should improve the quality of your air. It is meant for a room, not for a whole house but I have actually moved it with me from kitchen to day to the bedroom at night. — — The instructions recommend you to use distilled or bottled water but I have waterfilter in my tab so I just fill it straight from there. This product is very silent and the mist is cool, big difference for the old clumsy humidifiers with filters I've seen before! — — You get a little bottle of eucalyptus drops with it, I had a hard time getting the drops out of the bottle without unscrewing the dropper. They tell you to...

Kirsib says "Carrie Underwood will sell platinum again in no time!" about Carrie Underwood - Carnival Ride

Carrie Underwood comes out with her second album following all the hype from the first multi platinum seller and boy, does she have some job ahead of her if she wants to be as big of a success this time! Critics are bowing at her and the few reviews I've read are stating that she will do it. — — So I was quite eager to get this album. I'm not in a band wagon to hail Hallelujah with her this time. I actually listened this several times over the last few days just to let the music sink in, maybe it will take some time? — — Sorry, it did not work for me! The whole album comes across as loud and screechy and everyone is trying so hard to prove how masterful they can be that the intimacy and personality is forgotten. Yes Carrie has some great pipes and she will go all over here but I wish she would have slowed down a bit! — — Lyrics travel from bad girl to heartbreak, she did not tackle any unexpected areas. I just feel like I was slammed with...
