KimmerRN says "Little People playsets are the BEST! Fun and durable!" about Fisher-Price Little People

You cannot go wrong with Fisher Price Little People. We have several of the play sets that bring hours of fun and imaginative play to our little ones. My children have the Little People Garage that is in the picture. It is fun and very durable. It is a great toy to help develop basic skill and is something that I use in play therapy with my son to help develop his eye contact, speech and joint attention. The car elevator is great... it goes to 2 levels and clicks as it goes up and down - child has to manually push it up and down. The ramp is twisty and fun for the little people cars and for racing matchbox cars down as well. We have had this almost a year and it looks perfectly new. Some sets can be around $30 to $35, but keep an eye on the toy aisle at places like Target during the holidays... you can sometimes find great bargains, as I got this set for $19.99 last year.

KimmerRN says "Great value for children's books!" about Scholastic Books

I have had great luck with Scholastic Book Clubs. It is affordable... each of my children usually get a couple of books each order, depends on what the choices are that month. They have a nice selection of items for all ages and abilities. I have never had a problem with customer service.... they did not send one of my child's books, they were notified and immediately sent it out. Not a problem. I also like the program they have for a few months where parents can buy a coupon book that allows you to purchase a number of books (I think it was 3 or 4) for a much lower price. (Books under $4 were "free" and you pay the balance for items over $4.) I bought one book for my child and one for the preschool so they could get "free" books. It's a nice way to give a gift to the teacher and classroom that is useful.
...

KimmerRN says "Dawn direct foam is lots of cleaning in one pump!" about Dawn Direct Foam Dishwashing Foam Soap

Davwn Direct Foam is the best dishwashing soap that I have used in a long time. It is long lasting, especially when you realize you don't need several pumps of soap to get the job done. The pump gives a metered amount instead of a random amount from a a traditional squirt bottle. My favorite is the Fresh Rapids scent.

On the down side, I have noticed that the pump bottle has been downsized, but not the price. Additionally, I have had problems with the pump being flimsy, breaking after the first refill, so I have to buy a new pump bottle to finish off the refill.
...

KimmerRN says "YUMMY! Fiber One has one fabulous pancake mix here!" about Fiber One Complete Pancake Mix

YUM!! Eating healthy has never tasted so good! I was amazed at how delicious Fiber One's Complete Pancake mix is! It is smooth and delicious.... you would never know that you are eating a lower fat, whole grain pancake that has 0 trans fat and is a great souce of calcium. It is easy to make... just add water to the mix and you are ready to go. It is a little more expensive that basic mix, but the added fiber and the excellent taste is the choice for me! A 28.3 oz box is a little under $2 at Super Wal Mart (locally). There are also great suggestions on the back of the box to add things to the mix to change-up the basic pancake or waffle.
...

Arnold Select Sandwich Thins are AWESOME! The convenience of a bun without the added "fluff". The multi-grain are delicious and a great source of fiber. At only 100 calories each and no high-fructose corn syrup, these sandwich thins are a great alternative to buns and rolls, yet it doesn't taste like you are missing anything!

KimmerRN says "Sara Lee wheat breads are soft and delicious! A good buy!" about Sara Lee Classic Honey Wheat Bread

Sara Lee breads are a wonderful value for my family. Soft and delicious, the classic honey wheat bread is a favorite, especialy for one of my children who has an eating (texture) issue. Locally, this bread can be found at Super Wal-Mart for around $1.97. Prices at Sam's club for two loaves is around $3.69.... so it seems to be a good value in this area.

KimmerRN says "A little slice of caramel truffel heaven in every cup! " about Millstone Caramel Truffle

If you are searching for a more widely available whole bean coffee, Millstone is it. Found in grocery stores and Super WalMarts, the display usually has 2 rows (10 choices total) of whole bean containers (one row if the store is smaller) with both caffienated and decaf beans in various flavors. If you do not have a grinder, the display has a grinder for your convenience. Locally, the millstone displays have one-pot ground quick containers if you want to sample a coffee before buying a pound. The bulk coffee display allows you to choose all of one flavor bean or mix and match to make the flavor to your liking or to make a new combination. Additionally, Millstone brings out holiday flavors such as pumpkin spice and holiday peppermint.

Currently available is a caramel truffle flavor. This is a truly YUMMY flavor that does not require cream or sugar, but you can add them if you wish. I buy a few of the one-pot ground quick packs to take to work for a treat. The smell is wonderful...
...

Pure VIa is an all natural zero calorie sweetener that is an extract of the stevia plant. I like the convenient single serving sticks which all you to adjust the amount of sweetener that you want. It sweetens well, so a little goes a long way. I started with a 1/2 of a single serving stick for a cup of coffee and it was perfect. Great way to reduce those empty calories in coffee! The single package sticks are great for on-the-go. I would like to see bigger packages available to allow use in cooking and baking.
...

This product worked MIRACLES for my daughter. She had multiple stomach issues and 2 hospitalizations by 2 months. Even the formulas through the GI MD did not do as well for her as the Nutramigen did. It can get a bit costly, but for a happy, well baby, that is priceless.
...

I am in the process of earning my MSN from UOP. The online format works well with my hectic lifestyle. I can fit my studies in with working and running a home.

If you are planning to go to school ANYWHERE online, you must be motivated and self-directed. The academic and financial counseling has been very good for me. Instructors and workload for the most part have been fine. There are bonehead instructors and fellow students at every place of higher education. There are bonehead co-workers ... that's just life. Yes, the team concept of learning can be a pain, but it can be a positive way of learning more - it is all in what YOU make of it. You are in charge of your learning. Make the most of it!
...

KimmerRN says "BEST DIAPERS!! Durable, secure fit for your baby!" about Pampers Cruisers Diapers

These diapers are the best diapers I have tried with my children. They allow for a super fit for all sizes of children. They have superior hold and very rarely, if ever, leak.

They are a bit more pricey than store brand diapers, but I find they work better for fit and for "hold". Also, there are coupons that are out that help make them more affordable.

If you use disposable diapers, these are the top of the line.. at least for me!...
