Karigig says "An excellent resource that every homeowner should own." about Martha Stewart - Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook: The Essential Guide to Caring for Everything in Your Home

Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook: The Essential Guide to Caring for Everything in Your Home is a great resource for everyone that lives in a home, cooks, cleans or is a DIY'er.

I was really impressed with the sheer mass of subjects covered and the detailed information given. This book is full of helpful hints, ideas and tips on just about anything you may encounter in your day to day life as a member of civilization.

The book is a little pricey at $45.00 but is well worth the expense. It comes with an easy to clean clear plastic cover which I love, in case I manage to make a mess while doing something.

A great resource for housewives that I higly recommend. Get it, enjoy it, learn from it.
...

Karigig says " Goddess, lovliest scent to hit the market in years. I adore it." about Baby Phat Goddess by Kimora Lee Simmons Eau De Perfume for Women

Walking through the mall with my daughter one evening I came across "Goddess" by Kimora Lee Simmons. It was such a lovely bottle and came with a great little pink travel case. It became my impulse purchase of the day.

I will never regret that particular impulse! "Goddess" has such a light, yet attention grabbing scent, slightly floral, slightly ...earthy. There is something there I can't put my finger on. I have to say though, whatever ingredient "X" may be, it blends wonderfully with everything else to make an exquisite scent. I rarely find a parfum i'm willing to wear, but I can not get enough of "Goddess".

The scent is not only great but it is long lasting as well. I can lift my wrist up hours after applying it and I still smell fabulous.

The bottle itself is so pretty with the pink color of the liquid showing through the faceted glass and the sparkling crystals trimming the cap, it makes you feel special and beautiful just picking it up. You feel like a Goddess!
......

Karigig says "An absolute must read for lovers of historical based fiction..." about Annapolis

I found this book covered in dust on the back shelf of a dollar store of all places and thought; why not, its only a buck. After reading the first two pages I was ASTOUNDED, and couldn't believe my luck.

Two pages is all it takes to be swept into the mastery of Martin's writing and carried away into another time.
This book is an absolute must have for anyone into historical novels, or just appreciates an excellent read.

The span of this book is fantastic and from the 1700's to the 1990's keeps you glued to its pages, with hope in your heart that its been sprinkled with magic dust and will not come to an end.
I like to think William Martin knew the depth of attachment that would be aquired by its readers, and thoughtfully weans the reader of the world of Annapolis in the final two chapters.

I have never been more pleased with a collection of words in my life. Get this book! You will not regret it.
...
