Kaimania says "A little piece of heaven disguised as a flat iron" about GHD GHD Purple IV Gift Set, limited edition

My flat iron bit the dust so my amazing boyfriend bought me the GHD Limited Edition Purple IV gift set! It includes:

- A beautiful purple carrying bag

- 1 purple flat iron with lovely pearl colored designs

- 1 travel hair dryer.

- 2 hair clips

I'll start off by saying the hair dryer is VERY weak and i will probably never use it, to be honest. I have very thick hair so it would take FOREVER to get it dry. However i can see how people with fine or very sensitive hair could use this item. (this hair dryer was just an added bonus for me, i only wanted the flat iron)

The lovely purple roll up bag comes with 2 detachable satin bags. One for the flat iron and one for the hair dryer, though i will probably use it as a accessory bag!

The two hair clips it comes with are SO handy to help part your hair while using the flat iron.

Okay now for the best part.... the flat iron!!!!! Not only is it beautiful but it is hands down the best flat iron that has ever graced my hair! (and trust me there have...
...

Kaimania says "Kiss those faded creasing days goodbye" about Urban Decay Primer Potion

For years i went around being very picky about eyeshadows and liners becasue of two horribly disgusting things: fading and the oh so dreaded creasing! That all changed the day i walked into Sephora and came out with my little black and white bag with the cute red paper sticking out from the top. No, that was NOT what i bought =P but in that little bag was my purchase... No, it was more than a purchase... it was the answer to all of my eyeshadow problems: Urband Decay Primer Potion.

Urband Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) Is a light fluffy cream that you apply to your eyelid before you put on make up. Once this stuff is on your colors are bolder, easier to blend and the best part it keeps it from fading and creasing even in the humid south weather!

I will never be able to go back to bare lids, trust me i tried and i hated it! Once you try this stuff you'll know what i mean! Not only is it VERY effective but the geanie shaped bottle it comes in is SO CUTE!

Bottom line, if your into eye makeup...
...

Kaimania says "Refreshingly cool!" about Bath and Body Works Pop Culture - Cool Melon

Alright a little bit of a story behind this. When my boyfriend and i went on vacation to texas i got the worst sun burn! I was peeling all over and in SO MUCH PAIN ! Often i woke up at night crying.

One our way home we stopped at the mall to try and find me a little happy prize

I went to bath and body works and during that time they had their Pop Culture line out.

The first thing i noticed was the Cool melon. I love melon scent and at that time anythign with the world cool in it caught my attnetion since my skin was burnt to a crisp!

The smell is wonderful! However, its not a natural melon smell. Its more of a candy melon smell. And spritzing it on you really does have a cooling effect. I couldnt help but buy it!

The only bad thing is that it is a seasonal thing so finding it when its not in season is impossible.

Its a bold, sharp but very sweet scent. Its perfect summer time scent.

However i only gave it 4 stars due to the fact that you can rarely find it.
...

Kaimania says "light, crisp, fresh, GREAT!" about Bath and Body Works Irresistible Apple

So bath and body works had a sale on a whole bunch of scents when i was at a mall in texas. I decided to irresistible apple.

I love body sprays and have a variety of different scents, but out of all of them i get the most compliments on this one!

Its a light but lingering scent that stays on me all day. Its a sweet juicy apple scent that isnt too overpowering like some sprays.

It leaves me smelling crisp, fresh and GREAT! :)

Its light enough for everyday wear. Whether your lounging around the house , shopping or going on a date.

Its well worth the purchase.

Kaimania says "Hey look its.... still on??!!!" about Maybelline Expert Eyes- Eye makeup remover

Alright im a HUGE fan of eye make up. I love it love it love it! However there does come a time when it has to come off. Usually i would use my St. Ives face was to remove it but one night at the store i saw Maybelline Expert eyes, moisturizing eye makeup remover (for waterproof eye makeup).... what a long name! Anyways i saw it and decided to try it out. It cost about $4-$5. Luckly i had alot of eye make up on that night and couldnt wait to test my new stuff out.

Directions:

1. Moisten cotton or tissue

(the first thing i noticed was that this stuff looked and felt like regular baby oil)

2. Close eyes- press against lid

(pressing oil against lids, check!... hopefully it doesnt leave me feeling like a grease ball)

3. Wait 5 seconds... tissue off

(well that didnt work)

Remove all traces of oil before reapplying fresh make up

(if only i had read ALL the directions first!)

Okay basicly this stuff didnt even come close to remving all of my eyeliner or mascara. It left my eyes...
...

Kaimania says "Smooth, bold and long lasting!" about Almay Liquid Liner

I love liquid eye liners. Nothing makes your eyes POP! more than a thin line of it on the top lid.

I have used so so so so SO many different brand of liquid liner and have had a huge problem, when applied on the top lid, throughout the day the linder would duplicate itself on my crease and you never notice until you blink and someone says "Is you eye make up supposed to be like that?" (note that i only have this problem with liquid liners that are black. i can use any brand of colored liner and have no problem)

One day i went and purchased Almay Liquid liner (black) for about $8.

First off it has a foam tip applicator which in my opinion is so much better than the 'paint brush'ones.

The liner itself went on very smooth and rich. If you make a mistake you can easily take a watered q-tip and correct it without have to remove ALL of it!

One your done it dries very quickly, i dont even have to fan it.

Now the ultimate test, wearing it through the day. I was shocked that i didnt get...
...

Kaimania says "A restorative line that doesnt cost too much!" about Pantene Pro-V restoratives- Time renewal

Recently i to a hack saw (more like bleach) to my hair and it sure did do a number of damage to it!

When it was wet it would be elastic-ish and frail and when it was dry it would be well... straw!

I went to wal mart in search of some stuff to help it out. I decided to purchase Pantene Pro-V Restoratives shampoo. It was about $6 and was somewhat of a small bottle but hey, not much you can do about that!

First thing i must say is the smell.... Okay so it doesnt smell bad but honet to goodness it smells like Arizona Green tea! I wasnt exactly fond of the fact my hair might smell like a wet tea bag but oh well!

I've been using it for a while now and whereas my hair is not in tip top condtion it has deffinately put alot of life back into it!

It says to use it with the partner conditioner but i use a different kind and it totally removes the tea smell from my hair.

In my opinion its a great product. Its not the best, but for its price its pretty darn good!

Im sure you'd get even better...
...

Kaimania says "Bold and soft all in one!" about Revlon Soft on the Eyes - Sheer loose shadow

So months ago i saw Revlon Soft on the eyes, sheer loose shadow. I fell in LOVE with it but never purchased it due to the pretty little price tag on it. A few weeks ago i was at wal greens and they had a huge bucket of clearance items and i found this product for TWO DOLLARS!!!!!!! I snatched it up as fast as i could. It was even in the colors i wanted! (i got the one called 'head in the clouds' which is also the one in the pic i put)

I was so happy i nearly dance my way into the bathroom to play with it. Im not to much of a sheer color fan, i prefer bold accented with sheer. I can do both with this! To get the bold liner look i love all i do is dab the brush in a little water and then into my powder. Then i dry my brush and start blending away with the dry shadow.

The colors are rich and lasts until you take it off. It has a light shimmer to it but nothing too over powering. A little goes a LONG way as well! I am very happy with this purchase. It also blends very well with other shadows....
...

Kaimania says "Turns me into a grease ball" about Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse

So i was in search for a new foundation product and saw that the Maybelline Dream liquid mousse was on sale. I think it was like $7-ish and it also came with a Dream matte powder so it was a good deal.

The foundation itself is very light weight and effective. A little goes a long ways.

It looks and feels great for a little while but as time goes on it just makes my face look and feel greasy and i dont have very oily skin to begin with.

Its a nice product if you dont mind touching up with powder ever 30 minutes. However i wll not continue to buy this product.

Just on an off note the Dream matte poweder works very nicely. :)

Kaimania says "Is it supposed to burn?" about Equate Moisturizing body wash with shea butter & vitamins

Okay so i went to wal-mart to get some new soap. I'm tired of paying over $5 for soap so i decided to try the Equate Moisturizing body wash fir extra dry skin with shea butter and vitamins.

My first experience with this was when i popped open the lid to take a sniff. I gave it a little squeeze to push out a little air to get a better wiff... hah... all i got was a shot up soap up my nostril! Oddly enough that happens to me alot but this time it burned alot more than usual.

The smell was pleasant and the soap was nice and thick so i thought i'd try it out!

I was pretty excited to try out my new, less than $5 soap! However, it was quite a dissapointment. This soap burned my skin so much and left me with a nice little break out! Deffinately not my idea of a good soap.

It may have been cheaper but i think from now on i'll go ahead and stick to paying a little extra for soap that doesnt burn and break me out.

I wish i could have come here bearing a good review but this was a no win product...
...
