KSML26 says "My first good digital camera and I loved it." about Canon - PowerShot S2 IS Digital Camera

The Canon S2-IS is a great camera for what it is. I know it is a little old by now, I think they're up to S7-IS or something by now, but I would suggest this or anything in the S-IS series. It is only 5 MegaPixel (which is what they're making some cell phone cameras by now) but that is no big deal as long as you're not planning to blow any pictures up bigger than 8x10. It is good for a family camera, a little bulky, so it's more for the amature photographer. Not necessarily something you can pop into a purse and run, although I used to carry mine around that way.

A few negatives about it:

You can't adjust the focus manually.

The lens cap often pops off.

Low megapixel

Not too good for fast moving subjects unless you know what you're doing (no sports mode)

Not too good in the dark

I have a few positives also:

Smaller than most SLR cameras so for the amature photographer it is a good choice.

Pull out flash included with adjustable flash distances.

Works as a video camera.

Love...
...

KSML26 says "Works well and easy to use!" about Whirlpool Duet Sport Washing Machine

The Whirlpool Duet Sport is a good washer. After having replaced two washers to get to this one, it is definitely a breath of fresh air. No worries with this washer. We have had it for a few weeks now and it has been cleaning clothes great. It is not too loud, clothes don't come out soaked, and it's all together good. I don't like the amount of space you have, after having come from a slightly larger washer this one seems a little small. It has very easy to understand controls, you just hit the button until the light changes to the settings you want and then hit start. That's it, simple. If you don't stack it with the dryer and you don't get the pedastal, it is a little too short and you have to practically sit on the floor when you're loading in the clothes. That is a bit frustrating but it is a plus that it is stackable in the first place. It is also an HE washer so it uses less water. A good thing. :)
...

KSML26 says "It started out as a great washer but broke beyond repair quickly" about Maytag Neptune Washer

We got the Maytag Neptune washing machine as a replacement for our old washer that had recently broken but this one was a dissappointment. At first it was amazing and always left our clothes very dry after it was done spinning because it was able to spin so fast. Then, within a month from getting it, it began to stop spinning all together and left our clothes absolutely soaked. There would be water built up in the bottom of the machine and things would come out dripping all over the floor. It was impossible to work with because then it started making our dryer work twice as long, sometimes taking multiple hours to dry a load. A repair like this is expensive and not worth it for a washing machine so we ended up having to replace this one just like the last one. A frustrating washer that is not worth the money. Don't get one new or used, no matter how good the deal. I'd suggest spend a little money on a washer, especially becuase it is such an important part of a house.
...

KSML26 says "You're stuck with a huge bottle and it doesn't work well." about Berkley & Jensen Color Protect Anti-Fade Shampoo

Berkley & Jensen Color Protect Anti-Fade Shampoo is not that great of a shampoo. It does the work of cleaning your hair, yes, but it doesn't really do what it says it does. It is a very watery shampoo and slides off your hand easily in the shower, which means you have to put it on quickly before you lose it all. I haven't noticed a difference with my hair color after using this shampoo, it just seems to take its normal course of action, fading as usual and this shampoo has made no difference. Unfortunately it comes in such a big bottle you are stuck with it until you use it or you wasted your money. They say to compare it to major salon brands but to me it doesn't seem at all comparable to anything I have ever used at a salon. I was dissappointed by this shampoo and the conditioner that comes with it is even worse. A terrible product created to attempt to replicate another but failed.
...

KSML26 says "Works well the first time you use it but effects lessens." about Avon Planet Spa Mediterranean Olive Oil Conditioning Hair Mask

The Mediterranean Olive Oil Hair Mask is a great product to use if you have dry hair. I have extremely dry hair, from dying it blonde, and now I am always looking for different conditioners that will work on repairing my dry hair. When I first tried this conditioner, I was very happy with the results. My hair was softened out immediately but after a few days of using it, the effects were not as strong as the first time I had used it. It also seemed to soften my hair in the shower but once it was dry it was no longer as soft. I am still looking for a conditioner that softens my hair in the shower with results that last even when the hair is dry. I have only had results like that once and that was when I got a deep conditioning treatment at a salon. Other than that, it seems like store bought conditioners just don't seem to do the trick that well. For someone with average hair, I would highly reccommend this.
...

KSML26 says "Amazing idea, incredibly easy to use and time saving!" about Purex Complete 3-in-1 Laundry Sheets

These Purex 3 in 1 sheets were the best invention ever! They are definitely a time saver and make doing the laundry much easier, and less messy. It is so easy to use them all you have to do is pull one out of the box and throw it into the machine! You don't have to measure liquid or powder anymore and risk getting sticky hands or a powdery mess. Then once you're wash is done it just transfers over to the dryer and you don't even need to add a dryer sheet. For the first time in a long time, these have actually added a nice scent to our clothes even after they are out of the dryer. Most normal detergents and dryer sheets have left the clothes scentless but I enjoy having my clothes keep that fresh out of the wash scent. It adds a charm to having clean clothes because you can just bury your nose in a clean towel and really enjoy it. The only problem is that these cost a little bit more because of the convenience because one box is only 30 washes but at least you don't need...
...

I have used this razor for a very long time and have always enjoyed it. Just recently I got a new one to replace the old one because it was getting a little ratty looking. I replaced it with the same one and have noticed a few differences even though it is the same. The new one seems to hurt as I shave, even if the blade has just been replaced. I don't know why that is happening but is is disappointing. There are a few things I have always enjoyed about this razor. It has small wires covering the blade which prevent you from cutting yourself easily. Also, with the new one, it came with a little holder which sticks in your shower so it is out of the way. That is a very convenient feature which I have enjoyed using. The holder also has room for one pack of extra blades so they are right there as well. This is a very reasonable razor, the replacement blades are probably the cheapest you can find which also makes it a good choice for those on a budget. Works well and is...
...

KSML26 says "A good printer with awesome features." about Canon PIXMA MP210

The Canon PIXMA MP210 is a great printer for those who have/need a scanner but don't like all of the extra space it takes up. It has a build in scanner which can also be used as a copier and will immediately print a copy of whatever is in the scanner. It also can be used with cameras (Canon is probably recommended but I'm sure any camera with a USB cord will work), all you have to do is plug them in and it will print the pictures you want. I think that is very convenient and you don't have to go through the computer to do it. Ink is a bit expensive but it lasts a while and can be found in other brands for cheaper, although I do reccommend the Canon ink because it works better and has less streaks and problems. It is a very quick scanner and also a quick printer. You aren't waiting all day for it to print your 15 page paper. It is also very reliable, apart from running out of ink, I have never had a problem.
...

KSML26 says "Works to steam your clothes but can easily burn you." about Conair GS11RH Professional Upright 1400-Watt Fabric Steamer

This Conair Steamer works fairly well for its purpose but has a few major problems:

It takes a long time to heat up and start releasing steam.

It almost always tells you it needs more water even when you have just filled it.

It makes a loud popping sound as it is heating up (which requires you to pull up on the hose in order to let the steam flow through).

It randomly drips scalding water on you even when you are using it completely normally. (It hurts.)

Besides these problems, it does do an okay job smoothing wrinkles. You do need to put your own hanger onto it because the one that comes on it is very difficult to use and doesn't work too well. As an everyday user of this steamer, I have gotten accustomed to steaming everything I wear before I wear it, whether it's work clothes or just a t-shirt. I would definitely reccommend having a clothes steamer rather than an iron but maybe look to another one than this one.
...

I have recently upgraded to the EnV Touch from the Samsung Glyde. The phones are similar in the fact that they both have a touch screen and a physical keyboard. The EnV Touch, however, has a clamshell-like design where it opens to the keyboard rather than it sliding out. I did appreciate the slide out keyboard from my previous phone but after getting used to the new opening keyboard I am liking that as well. The touch screen on this phone is 100 times better than the touch screen on my old phone. It responds very well and I have not had to restart this phone once because of any touch screen glitches. I honestly have not noticed any problems with this phone yet. The touch screen keyboard on the front screen is fairly accurate and easy to use when you don't feel like using the physical keyboard. It reacts very quickly when you turn it from vertical to horizontal. One fun feature is that when you are on a call, the screen can sense your ear on the phone and turns off. I...
...

The Nintendo Wii is a very fun console, it allows for you to move the characters without hitting buttons, just by moving the remote. Most of the advertisements for it made it seem a bit more fun than it actually is and it is often more fun when there are other people to play it with. The game selection doesn't seem to offer too much to older users, mostly kid friendly games. The games they have available also can get old fast or do not have too much to do for long periods of time, and we all know people just want to play video games to sit there all day, not to play for twenty minutes and pack it in, right?
...

KSML26 says "A difficult phone that requires patience" about Samsung - Glyde Cell Phone

I personally love the Samsung Glyde and hate it at the same time. If it were perfect, I love the design. The touch screen is unique and the slide out keyboard is convenient and fun. I like the small shape and the ease of sliding it into my pocket. The only problem is, it has many glitches about it. I have actually had three of them because of the difficulties with them, but I would never want to try a different phone even though this one has problems. The touch screen is very... touchy. Sometimes when you try to touch something, it touches in a completely different spot. The buttons close to the corners of the screen always have difficulty working as well. Usually restarting it fixes the problems but sometimes it requires multiple restarts or removing the battery to get it functioning correctly again. If you are able to deal with those issues in order to enjoy the character of the phone, than this one is worth a shot.
...

This GPS is not the best GPS in the world. When you have patience, it gets you where you need to go successfully but it is very flimsy. It got dropped once and the antenna cracked off. It takes forever to figure out where you are when you first turn it on, which can be a pain because you are trying to get somewhere and it doesn't even know where you actually are yet. Sometimes the screen freezes up and it says that it can't read the card inside, which is strange but all you have to do is restart it. I like that it has night and day mode, which change right on time with the sunset. It also tells you how many hours until you get to when you want to go and also what time you'll get there. The maps are pretty accurate. I have never gotten lost with it when it was working. The suction cup that came with it is terrible. It broke right off the stand so it always falls off the window now. Overall, it works but I wouldn't suggest it.
...

KSML26 says "Very fun but have to be in a quiet place a lot." about Nintendo DS - Brain Age

Brain age is a fun and easy to take little tests to help develop your brain skills. Using it often, you definitely see progress and new levels always appear to make it more interesting. Once you have unlocked all of the practice tests however there isn't much else to do. You can only do them so many times before they get old. The brain age test is fun but you have to have a lot of patience for it as you have to be either in a quite room to talk to the system or you have to sit for five minutes memorizing a list of words. That is fun at first but it again, gets old. It isn't completely accurate with the microphone. Often you say the right word and it doesn't hear it correctly so that detracts from your score on the game. It is fun how you have to hold the DS like a book, that gives it a little quirk. Overall, it is definitely a fun game but if you wouldn't dedicate yourself to it it may not be a good choice.
...

KSML26 says "Fun but gets old" about Nintendo DS - Big Brain Academy

Big Brain Academy is definitely a game that is very fun when you first start playing it but it is not something you would want to play every day because it gets old fast. If you like little brain puzzles it is very fun but once you play through all of the games there isn't anything else to do except try to beat your previous high score. The little puzzles are fun. It is a good game to have around if there isn't anything to do for the day of you are just sitting waiting. A long trip may be a good place to have this game but it does get old fast so if you have played it before it may only amuse you for a short time during the trip. The controls are fun because of the touch screen, you have to draw lines, tap on matches and other things. The interactive factor makes it more interesting and helps draw attention to it. Overall I would say that this game is fun but if you get tired of things quickly, don't waste your money.
...

KSML26 says "The Spacemaker is a great microwave." about GE Profile Spacemaker XL 1800

The GE Profile Spacemaker 1800 is a good microwave because it has many different options. It also has a sensor inside so it never burns the popcorn or anything because it can tell how long something has to cook for if you select that setting. Every time I cook popcorn I hit the popcorn button and it cooks perfect every time. I also take advantage of the beverage button and the reheat button often because the timing is so perfect. The reheat button is very conveinent because you hit it three times and you can select the size of the meal to be a "plate" so every time you want to reheat leftovers it is done right away, perfectly every time. Overall, the microwave only has positive points. I cannot think of anything negitive to say about it. The vent fan comes in handy for cooking on the stove because it can open on command. I also noticed you can lock the controls so children can't start the microwave. Good microwave!
...
