There are so many air fresheners on the market. It is hit or miss. Well, the Renuzit Long Last Adjustable Air Freshener is a hit with me. Twist to release the desired amount of scent; my favorites are raspberry and tropical. It sits on a shelf, table or counter. I actually set them on clothes closet shelves to keep the air from becoming stale. This product seems to last much longer than other air fresheners I have tried.

This product is a mini-waterless vaporizer of sorts, and a great decongestant. Remember those days when mom rubbed your chest with Vick's Vapor-rub for a cold and congestion - well, maybe not. How about those water vaporizers that worked, but made your hair wet as well as the blankets and curtains?! Well, this product is effective and less messy. When you feel congested and yucky, plug it into the wall and let it do magic. It works best in small rooms. Inhale the vapors all night (up to eight hours) and it really, really gives much-needed relief. It says nighttime, but I used it during the day when home from work. There are refill "pads" available too. Come in a box of five.

After Bite really IS the itch eraser. This product gives fast relief from bites and stings from mosquitoes, black flies, fleas, chiggers, and those pesky no-see-ums. It is packaged in a pen-like applicator for easy application and is small enough to carry in a purse, first-aid kit or car console. I am very sensitive to bug bites and some plant oils. After Bite works great for me. It can be found in most drug stores.

On my gosh! If you have a sweet tooth and love macadamia nuts, this Hawaiian cookie is for you. Choose from among White Chocolate Macadamia Nut, Coconut/MacNut Shortbread, Kona Coffee Macadamia Nut, Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut, and other island flavors. The cookies are crisp, flakey, and oh-so-sweet. You can only get them in Hawaii, but thanks to online ordering, you can enjoy them on the mainland. The cookies are cheap, but the shipping costs put a dent in your wallet. I've ordered a case at a time because nothing else comes close to the taste. The top of the rating scale is not high enough for this yummy delight....

This is marketed as natural and organic containing aloe vera, vitamins A, C and E and herbal extracts. Thus, there are no synthetic preservatives or fragrances. And for those of us that care, the company does no animal testing and uses no animal by-products. I have found this cream to be excellent for dry skin, especially on calloused parts like heels and elbows. It is a soothing product that nourishes and has UV protection. Very reasonably priced.

I am a real skeptic when it comes to quick fixes. But, one try when feeling the onset of a cold, and I am a believer. At first I thought it might be a coincidence that my cold was nipped in the bud. But, I have used Zicam since then, and my cold is always shortened considerably. Whenever I start feeling that my resistance is low, I use the nasal spray and it works! I have recommended it to many, and all say that it was effective for them also.

I don't travel much by airplane, and usually get sick when I do. On one return trip, a passenger suggested I try Emergen-C as a way to boost my immune system before traveling. I listened, and now use the product every time I fly. It is a packet of 1000 mg vitamin C, vitamin B and 32 mineral complexes that you mix in water. It fizzes for a minute and then you drink it. I use it about 4 days before my trip and it I highly endorse its effectiveness. I also use it the minute I start feeling like my resistance is low and may become sick.

Years ago, I had continual bad experiences with this airline carrier. Consequently, I steered away from them regardless of price. Recently, I had an emergency across the country and the only airlines that put me where I wanted to go and when was...you guessed it...United Airlines. Their prices were great, and the service (from purchase to online check-in to no-hassle flight to accommodating crew) was way beyond reproach. The lesson? Give a company another chance to prove themselves some time at a later date. You may be pleasantly surprised! I will no longer be hesitant to use United Airlines.

I use both original Woolite and Woolite for Dark Colors, and love them! I recently discovered Woolite for Colors and it is equally as effective for colored clothing. The colors remain bright through each washing. It doesn't take much product to get clothes clean either!

Okay, you have seen the commercials. But you have to try it. It really does take out those tough stains and cleans tile grout. I didn't think it would work as good as it does. But, have family members read the directions - use on white clothing and white grout. My son has white spots on his blue t-shirt where he tried to remove grass stains with this product!

Admittedly, this magazine is primarily for the over-30 woman. But hey, there are many of us out there!

I hate to cook and am always looking for simple-to-prepare meals that don't cost a great deal of money. Their recipes are healthy and not intimidating. The holiday recipes are always interesting and sure-fire.

The decorating ideas in Better Homes & Gardens have something for everyone. Many are not geared to my lifestyle or taste. But some are! And, I have torn out many a page to refer to at a later date.

Finally, as a subscriber, I get really good rates and special promotions. When I renewed last time, I was invited to send a full year's free subscription to a friend.
