KBoylan2 says "Most Memorable" about Top 10 Movies of All Time

Although these are my top 10 favorite movies, they are in no particular order within the top 10 since that would vary too much based on the day and my mood. Here goes:

1. A League of Their Own. As a little girl growing up, I watched this constantly with my father and always wished I had more athletic ability...or at least looked like Geena Davis. I can still sing all the words to their song and would recommend this to anyone who's looking for a feel-good, family friendly, female inspired movie.

2. I Am Sam. My boyfriend refuses to watch this with me, however, the first time I saw it I laughed and cried more in that time span then I thought imaginable. I was laughing through my tears at some points. I thought everyone's performance was amazing, touching and heartbreaking. I even liked Michelle Pfeiffer in it.

3. Young Frankenstein. Definately a classic and I'm up for watching it at any point in time. I love all the "hidden" humor. "Walk this way" inspired Aerosmith...
...

KBoylan2 says "I'd rather have some double-stuft." about Nabisco - Oreo Cakester

I kept seeing the commercial on TV for these Cakesters, so I finally broke down and decided to try them, even though I try not to keep cookies in the house. I figured since they were individually wrapped, I would be able to resist eating all of them, like I do with the regular Oreos.

I was excited to try them, but was very disappointed. Not only did they taste nothing like an Oreo, but they weren't very chocolate-y and the middle wasn't at all like the cream of an actual Oreo. I will say, they were quite squishy and fresh-tasting, but that's about the only thing they have in their favor. These might have been okay, had I not been linking them in my mind to the classic cookie. I was really just expecting a soft version. I found that the two Cakesters didn't fill me up like 4 Double Stufts would, and they end up being around the same amount of calories (about 250 total).

The kid in the commercial is going to be very sad he traded for these Cakesters. Stick with the original...
...

KBoylan2 says "Feed someone while improving your vocab." about Free Rice

I don't normally find myself addicted to too many video games, but I really found this site hard to get away from. The concept is simple: you go to the website, they give you a word, and you have to pick its synonym from a list of four words. Each word you get right improves your vocab level and each word you get wrong lowers it. For every word that you get right, 10 grains of rice are donated to the hungry. The rice is paid for by the sites sponsors, which include all sorts of various companies. There's no signing up to participate or personal information exchanged with the site.

I enjoy word games, so this was something that I quickly liked. And seeing my rice pile up in the bowl felt a little rewarding. People have suggested it's a waste of time since 10 grains of rice isn't much and if I truly wanted to help then I could donate money or my own rice to the hungry. However, it is one of the only "games" I have ever found offered on the internet that is at all donation...
...

KBoylan2 says "Perfect for texting." about LG - enV VX9900 Cell Phone

My boyfriend and I both purchased this phone in March of this year. He picked it out because of it's ability to have GPS, rather than having to go get a GPS for his car. I went along with it, and now I love my phone- I don't even remember how to text the regular way!

We both got phones plus a new service plan from Amazon, so our phones were discounted to just $75 (I believe down from their original $300). I didn't subscribe to the GPS service, which is $9.99 a month, but my boyfriend uses it frequently and has found it very helpful. Mostly, I use the phone for texting and talking, pretty basic. I also love the pictures that it takes and the ability to zoom, change the quality, color, etc. I'm constantly texting people pictures of things randomly because the camera is so good. It's almost good enough to not need an additional camera for special occassions. I really enjoy using the QWERTY keyboard for texting, rather than the front keypad (although that is an option). ...
...

KBoylan2 says "You know what they say about Pumpkin Pie!" about Demeter Pumpkin Pie

First of all, I have always loved the innovative scents that Demeter seems to come up and how realistic they smell! I imagine they're like the Jones soda of the fragrance world.

I wanted to try the pumpkin pie perfume because not only do I love the smell of pumpkin pie, but I've also read many studies where they've found that pumpkin pie is one of the number one aphrodisiac scents for men- what could be wrong with that? The scent is a perfect match. It makes me smell like I've been in the kitchen mixing up yummy treats all day. It's a little spicy, not at all floral, with undertones of vanilla and cloves. The scent is not at all overpowering, and I find that it layers nicely over a vanilla scented body lotion (I would recommend Jaqua Buttcream Frosting). I wear this perfume everyday. It's a nice, playful scent that doesn't overwhelm anybody when they walk in the room. My only complaint is that the scent doesn't seem to last all day, but I don't mind reapplying. Probably...
...
