KBROGDON says "Thanks but no thanks Rent A Headache!" about Dollar Rent A Car

On October 13, 2008, I rented a Dodge Avenger from the Dollar Rent a Car at the Charlotte Douglas Airport in Charlotte, N.C. I handed the Clerk my driver's license and Visa card. As I had about a three and a half to four hour drive to my final destination and it was already after 11 pm, I was in a hurry as was the clerk (he was due to close at midnight). When I was asked if I wanted the additional insurance, I declined, informing the clerk that my personal insurance was adequate (I've been a full-time peace officer for over seven (7) years and I haven't even been stopped for over 15 years). I signed the Visa receipt and the Rental Agreement without looking at the totals on either one. I also initialed the area stating I was declining the offered insurance. I returned the vehicle on October 18, 2008, and returned home to California. The next day, my wife was going over my travel receipts and she asked me why I had taken the additional auto insurance when we already had adequate insurance.......
