      <description>&lt;p&gt;USAA arbitrarily raised our homeowners deductible from 1% to a whopping &lt;strong&gt;2% for wind &amp;amp; hail damage&lt;/strong&gt;. The peril which I am most likely to suffer. What I don't understand is that it usually decreases premiums to carry a higher deductible but in this instance they raised both? We called to try to buy-up to 1% but they don't allow it anymore. We are stuck with the 2% even if we were willing to pay additionally for a lower deductible. I am going to have to shop elsewhere for my homeowners insurance due to lack of choice in deductible. Unless you have a large savings account to pay this steep deductible, I suggest you look elsewhere for homeowners insurance.&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
