Jolie says "buyuggsboot.net is a scam! Ugg Boots from China that are fake." about www.buyuggsboot.net

Background on Buyuggsboot.net

A friend of mine at Viewpoints recently passed along a site called www.buyuggsboot.net. She found it online. www.buyuggsboot.net is a web site that sells all styles of Ugg Boots at discounted prices.

We werent certain if www.buyuggsboot.net were the real or not. But after a thorough review of the site, we thought it was legit. Buyuggsboot.net looks like a reasonable reseller of Ugg Boots. The page is designed well, the pictures look authentic and they make claim to having the real deal. They also consistently site throughout the web site having customer satisfaction commitments.

To add to the thought it was authentic, the pricing seemed good but not amazing. As you probably know a typical pair of Ugg Boots cost about $110. On Buyuggsboot.net the cost was $89.00- approximately a $20 savings. Seemed like a good deal, but they werent so cheap that I thought it could be scam. As an aside, last year Nordstrom had a similiar sale on Ugg boots so the pricing seemed...
...

OldHippie says "Grade "F"" about President Obama

Everything stated here will be backed up with FACTS! First of all, the National Debt has tripled under the Obama administration. "The National Debt has increased about $1.6 trillion on Mr. Obama's watch." "It gets worse. The same document projects that by the end of the decade, the National Debt will hit $24.5 trillion - exceeding the Gross Domestic Product projected for 2019 of $22.8 trillion." wellsy.wordpress.com/2009/11/17/national-debt-now-over-12-trillion

Let's talk pork: As ABC reported - the newly designed web site, recovery.gov cost 18 MILLION to redesign. "ABC News' Rick Klein reports: For those concerned about stimulus spending, the General Services Administration sends word tonight that $18 million in additional funds are being spent to redesign the Recovery.gov Web site." So 18 million of your tax dollars are being spent to redesign a misleading web site.

Misleading?: From the Associated Press... "A Colorado company said it created 4,231 jobs with the help of...
...

OldHippie says "Welcome to "The Village"" about The Prisoner

This must be the season to resurrect old TV series and mini-series. First, ABC did it with "V". Now, AMC is doing it with The Prisoner.

For those too young to remember, The Prisoner was a 17 episode cult classic from 1967, starring Patrick McGoohan as Number 6. Walking out on his job in the British Government, McGoohan is gassed, taken to "The Village" and held against his will. But it's such a lovely place...peaceful & tranquil.

This year, it's Michael (Jim Caviezel) who quits his job at Summakor, a company that collects surveillance data. Waking in the desert, Michael comes across an escaping older man - his first clue of things to come. The old man dies, and Michael stumbles into "The Village", dazed & confused.

AMC does keep fairly true to the 1967 version in one aspect; Rover, a balloon-like orb that patrols the Village and enforces discipline. This Rover isn't for petting - like a dog. If I keep going, I'll give away too much. Just remember..."I am not a number. ...
...

OldHippie says "Don't Look For Anything Great Here" about Crackle

Crackle is an on-line sight to watch free movies & old TV shows. Some of the movies are not even full length...just clips; such as Spider-Man - all 3 episodes. What's the use? They do have a few good movies in full length - very few.

Examples are:

Tommy

Taxi Driver

The Valachi Papers

The China Syndrome

Ghostbusters

Some of the old TV shows include:

Barney Miller

Bewitched

The Three Stooges

Charlie's Angles

If you have time to kill, you may or may not find something you like here. Personally, I didn't find much here worth my time.
...

OldHippie says "Learn From Our Fore-Fathers" about BrainyQuote - Thomas Jefferson

I'm not going to write a lot here. I'm simply going to 'copy & paste' several Thomas Jefferson quotes. And also remind you that "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it." - George Santayana

See how many past quotes can apply to today's left wing political mistakes.

A wise and frugal government, which shall leave men free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned - this is the sum of good government.

Do you want to know who you are? Don't ask. Act! Action will delineate and define you.

Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves are its only safe depositories.

History, in general, only informs us of what bad government is.

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in...
...

OldHippie says "Sweetly Addicting" about Beaumont Coffee Cappuccino - Double Mocha

Anyone that's ever been to Aldi knows they may not carry the "name brands" other stores do. However, that doesn't mean they are not just as good - and less expensive. Last winter I discovered Aldi carries some flavored coffees - but only in the winter. (???) I guess they think we only drink Cappuccino in the winter. That's the one & only drawback I can find to this product.

For less than the price of one cup of flavored coffee at a high priced joint, you can buy a 16 oz. can of Beaumont Cappuccino Double Mocha. I'm addicted! I've been known to go through a can of this stuff in less than a week.

Nutritional value: Little to none. Vitamin A - "0". Vitamin C - "0". Calcium - 4%. Iron - 2%. Total fat - 5% of daily recommended.

But...I'm a "junk food junkie". What the heck. Just add a heaping tablespoonful of this to hot water - stir vigorously - and enjoy. There's also a recipe on the can for Dairy Freeze Cappuccino. I'm on a budget - a severe budget. But, I've...
...
