Valspar Color Style Paint seems to be decent so far. I'm hedging because I had extremely bad luck with Valspar Guardian Professional Paint, and both paints are Valspar products. (The Guardian Professional peeled right off.)

So far the Color Style brand seems to be holding up better than the Guardian.

Color style passed the "Fingernail Test" and the "Water Test". I could put a wet paper towel on the cured paint, and it held up. Also, the paint stayed on, even if I scratched it gently with my fingernail. Guardian Paint failed both tests, even after 2 weeks of curing.

Coverage is good. Color is rich.

I used the Satin finish.

While I do recommend Valspar's Color Style brand, I do NOT recommend Valspar's Guardian Professional paint. It peeled off like dead skin...and I had to repaint everything.

I would give this paint a 5 Star, but am cautious after my experience with Valspar Guardian.

Behr offers absolutely the best paint for your money.

High quality and reasonable pricing.

I would use Behr exclusively, but the only place I am able to find it is Home Depot, and our local Home Depot never seems to be able to match colors. I think their computer's calibrating is a little off.

However, I used Behr with a "Behr Color" with excellent results. (Behr's "Antique White".) Since the color codes are already in the computer for "Behr Colors", the match was perfect.

It takes 2 coats of Behr for complete coverage, but this is true for all paints that I have ever used.

Behr is extremely durable and rich looking. Yet, Behr costs just $25 a gallon. (Less if Home Depot is offering a Rebate.) You can't beat it. Low price, High quality.

Benjamin Moore paint is an excellent quality paint.

I usually buy paint at our local Aco Hardware because their color matching system is perfect. I've had bad luck with Home Depot matching color from a paint chip...the color never seems to be a match. So...I now buy paint from Aco.

Aco offers basically 2 paint brands, Benjamin Moore and Valspar. Valspar is less expensive, so I tried that first -- with disastrous results! The paint would NOT adhere. Even after weeks of curing, you could peel the paint right off using nothing but water for a solvent. (This was especially true for Valspar Semi-Gloss. Valspar Satin finish held up a little better.)

After the experience with Valspar, I switched to Benjamin Moore. Benjamin Moore cured beautifully...extremely durable. Unlike Valspar, it passed the "Fingernail Test"...I could not scratch it off with a simple scratch of my nail.

I've learned that darker tints are usually less durable than lighter ones because the pigments...

Ok, I'm no connoisseur, but Valu Time Instant Coffee ranks among the worst coffee I've ever tasted. Instant coffee is never as tasty as brewed, but Valu Time Instant Coffee is the bottom of the barrel, even among the Instant Coffees.

I bought it because it was cheap and I'm on a budget. I've tried other cheap brands...one was good, others weren't. Valu Time is definitely at the bottom of that list.

The best I can say for it is that it didn't make me sick. It tastes really bad.

Don't waste your money on Valu Time Instant Coffee. Even at its cheap price, it's a waste of money.

As far as I know, this product is currently available only at Home Depot.

The product comes in planks that are approximately 3 feet long and 1 foot wide. The planks stick to each other via a glue strip that is hidden once the flooring is installed.

Allure is sold in boxes that contain 24 square feet of product.

I love the look of this flooring...just love it! I installed it in our bathroom, and it's gorgeous. We choose the "Corfu" style, which is a fairly light-colored tile (see picture). Allure also comes in a hardwood look.

This product was easy to install. The only tool I needed was a saw.

My only complaints are that some of the tiles popped up once we put the bathroom vanity back in the bathroom. Apparently the weight of the vanity made the tiles pop up. I had to use Crazy Glue to get the planks to stick back down.

Also, try as I might, I still had small gaps between the planks. I filled the gaps with caulk and then painted the caulk to match the color of the "faux...

Bumpits hair lifter really made my hair look cute, but when it came time to take it out, it grabbed my hair so much that I almost couldn't get the thing out of my hair. I pulled a lot of hair out just removing the Bumpit.

This product is an excellent idea, but I won't be using it again. If I used this thing everyday, I'd end up with a bald spot.

Cute, but it tangles with your hair.

Spry Gum is the only gum I have found in the U.S. that is sugar free, yet does not contain Aspertame. The gum is sweetened strictly with Xylitol.

Studies have shown that Xylitol helps prevent cavities, not just by depriving bacteria of sugar (like most sugar substitutes)...but also by "fooling" the bactertia. The bacteria gobble the Xylitol up and starve in the process.

So far Xylitol has not been shown to cause any long-term health risks, either...unlike Aspertame.

And Xylitol tastes almost exactly like sugar! (With no weird aftertaste.)

These are the "plusses" of Spry gum.

I didn't give the gum 5 stars because it does have a couple of down-sides...

Mainly, the sweetness doesn't last long. This is probably because it is sweetened only with Xylitol. Apparently Xylitol "washes away" quickly. I've never noticed that when I've used Xylitol to sweeten cocoa...probably because the Xylitol is evenly distributed in the cocoa, so the sweetness is "added anew" with each sip. ...

I almost never allowed my son to drink soda because I didn't want him to consume High Fructose Corn Syrup -- or (worse!) Aspertame.

Pepsi Natural is the answer I've been looking for.

Naturally, I still don't allow him to drink more than a bottle every now and then, but I consider Pepsi Natural an almost "guilt free" soda.

It's about time that a soda pop hit the U.S. market that doesn't contain HFCS or Aspertame! I can't believe it took this long, what with all the bad publicity that both have received.

Pepsi Natural's ingredients:

lightly sparkling water, natural sugar, natural caramel and kola nut extract

The amber-hued cola gets its color from natural caramel and natural apple extract.

Kudos to Pepsi!

The soda even comes in a glass bottle! Glass! This product is a winner.

Tastes great, and I feel better about letting my son drink it.

Maybe other Soda bottlers will wise up follow suit.

Now...if only someone would come out with a Xylitol-sweetened diet pop, so I could...

Stonyfield Farm's Whole Milk yogurt is the best tasting yogurt I have ever eaten.

Absolutely delicious!

It tastes sinfully like sour cream. I even use it on baked potatoes. Hard to believe that something that tastes so creamy and yummy could actually be good for you.

Stonyfield Farm is the only yogurt I have ever found that is made from whole milk. Every other brand I have ever seen is made from either low fat or fat-free milk. The whole milk makes a huge difference in taste!

Until now, I've been loyal to the "big name" in yogurt, but all that changed when I tasted Stonyfield. Unfortuantely, I can't find Stonyfield in all grocery stores, but when I do see it, I buy it.

Give it a try...just once! You'll never go back.

I'm hooked!

I painted a window sill with Guardian Professional paint. Two full weeks after it dried, some rain got on the sill. The paint bubbled and peeled off like dead skin. The primer below the paint was fine and held up. (The primer was a different brand.)

This paint can't even hold up to simple water.

I can't believe such a low quality paint would be on the market. You can remove this paint with nothing but plain water even after it has cured!

I'm sure they had better paint in the 1700s.

I love the way Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner smells, and it really does kill mildew in grout. But it's an expensive commitment. I could live with the initial expense of buying the unit, but the refills will kill your wallet, especially if you use the product every day.

I've been trying to come up with a "recipe" for a homemade substitute for the refill. So far, I have managed to make a shower cleaning solution that's probably 90% as good, but costs less than half...so I am using that now.

I really wish SC Johnson would lower the price of the refills. As a former student of Economics, I know that a company can often make more money by lowering the price of their product. Apparently the price-setters at SD Johnson never studied Ecomonics.

Other than the price of the refills, Scrubbing Bubbles automatic shower cleaner is a wonderful product. It's certainly a time-saver and it smells fantastic.

VO5 Extra Body Shampoo is the only shampoo I ever use.

I've tried other shampoos, and always end up using them on the dog. VO5 Extra Body not only gets my hair wonderfully clean, it also adds body...and I need that. I have baby-fine hair. (The shampoo smells great, too.) I've been using this shampoo exclusively for at least 10 years.

Out performs even expensive salon shampoos..and VO5 Extra Body usually costs only about $1! I can only hope that Alberto never raises the price!
