Ice184productions says "The best of the CSI family" about CSI Miami

After watching CSI, CSi New York, and CSI: Miami to me Miami is the best of the family. Without falling into the trap Miami Vice followed by making the show about a few Columbian drug lords CSI: Miami is new and crisp every week. It has the continuity of Homicide life on the street, with the color od Miami Vice will not losing the high tech CSI feel. I was not a David Caruso fan before this show, but I find his monotoned Horatio Caine a character worth watching. Although I still don't understand that whole head turned looking at the ground thing. But the key to the show is Emily Procter, her good looks, white pants and slight southern drawl would seems unbelieveable for a csi but she makes it work. If not for the Southern Florida backdrop CSI: Miami is the cream of the CSI stable
...

Ice184productions says "Don't know why, but I can't wait unitl the next episode" about The Unusuals

I was one of the many people who saw some many previews for ABC's The Unusuals that I had to tune it. After two episodes I don't know why but I like it. I can't figure whether is it a drama trying to be funny or comedy trying to be serious but I like it. How Amber Tamblyn of Traveling Pants fame was going to work as a cop was questionable to me, but it works. She plays a cop who is out of her element and she is convincing. From the partners for life Banks & Delahoy to the third person bad toupee Eddie Alvarez to the department hottie Detective Beaumont it works for me. The show has lots of story lines to explore. I don't know if long term the "drama-dy" will work but I am along for the ride
...

Ice184productions says "Still rich 15 yrs later" about Ken Burns' Baseball

As a lifelong baseball fan I sat down to watch Ken Burns baseball the 10 DVD set 15 years after it's release. I became an instant Ken Burns fan after watching Jazz. Baseball fits the Ken Burns format with a opening title, interviews and quotes framing the discussion. I thought I may be a little bored with the history of baseball from the mid 1800 to present but I was captivated by it. It shed great light on the early start and America's great love of Baseball and shed light on stars I had heard about but never knew like Walter John, and Christy Mathison. It gave me a greater appreciation of why Babe Ruth was so loved by baseball fans, and why Shoeless Joe Jackson is still banned from baseball. The detail was incredible and the honesty refreshing. As the Boys of summer take the field again, take sometime to view Ken Burns Baseball
...

Ice184productions says "Noir at it's best, that you may have missed" about Out of the Past 1947

One of the most underrated actors of Film Noir is Robert Mitchum and Out of the Past is classic Film Noir. Granted the plot is much like others of the genre, a man with a secret pulled back into a life he thought he had left behind, and Jane Greer is the sexy but deadly moll. However, Out of the Past will grab you like it is your first Film Noir and not let you go until the dramatic and surprising climax. Jane Greer's is worth watching by herself, her version on the black widow will keep you glued. If you like Film Noir this is a must.
...

Ice184productions says "I-Pod like without the I-Pod price" about SanDisk Sansa Fuze (4 GB) Digital Media Player

After much research on MP3s I decided to go with the Sanza Fuze 4mb. I was looking for voice recording, FM radio, and use of use. I was not concern about video capabiltity, however it does offer this feature. The Fuze offered the features I wanted for about $60 less the the comparable I-Pod. Although for a novice techy it offered little in instructions on how to use it, but I have learned quckly. It is easy to download songs, the battery life fits my needs and at $69 was in my price range. However, I find it is not as easy to use on I-tunes as an I-Pod. I would highly recommend this for someone looking to download around 400 songs. If you are looking to add more than 400 songs the 8 mb may be a better choice. However, I would suggest buying better quality ear buds.
...

Ice184productions says "This is Soul!" about Raphael Saadiq - The Way I See It

Raphael Saadiq's The way I see it is like riding in a time machine. Ever since his days in Tony Toni Tone Saadiq has showed his respect and appreciation for Soul music. Not R&b but soul music. For fans of the Motown sound, Al Green, Marvin Gaye and other icons of the 60's & 70's buy this CD. Saaqid make you feels as though you found unreleased tracks from 1972. The way I see it Saaqid trades commercial appeal and radio airplay to put out an authentic soul cd in 2008, and I am glad he did
...
