Folks, Arm & Hammer's Baking Soda is one of the oldest and most versatile natural cleaners on the market today. You can find huge lists online of 101 uses for baking soda, etc. It can be used for baking, deodorizing, cleaning, scrubbing, bee sting therapy and toothpaste. The list goes on and on.....

I love adding Arm & Hammer's Baking Soda to my liquid dish washing detergent while washing dishes by hand. It adds a natural soap-enhancing quality, plus some scrubbing power as well.

I also use it sometimes with hydrogen-peroxide to be a natural teeth whitener, just don't swallow it--it does taste yukky--but works great!

The most important aspect to cleaning with Arm & Hammer's Baking Soda is that it is a natural, biodegradable, eco-friendly cleaner--and that is important to me!

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Bar Soap with Lavender scent is a wonderful natural soap. I use it at my kitchen sink to wash my hands with after doing a yukky job. Lavender is a aromatic relaxer, so it is a good fragrance to use to clean-up after chores!

I do think the price is a little high, 4.99 at some retailers, but the size of the Clean Day bar soap is larger than normal bar soap sizes. I keep it in a soap dish that drains well, so that the bar stays dry inbetween uses. Because the high glycerin level, it tends to melt in moisture faster than a regular synthetic-filled "detergent" soap bar.

I like Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day Company website--they give you the choice to search by "fragrance" or "cleaning task". The ingredients of Mrs. Meyer's products are mostly natural and their company labels are reader-friendly.

The Clean Day lavender bar soap is a castile soap (i.e. made mostly with Olive Oil). They are triple-pressed which makes the lather nice and creamy. The soap can be used anywhere...

Hey, I found these handy bamboo dishcloths at Walmart from Scotch-Brite. They just came out with a new line of green cleaning products, called Greener Clean which includes bamboo wash cloths and eco-friendly scrubber sponges.

Scotch Brite, a 3M company, has been making cleaning sponges since the 1950's and now they are "going green"! I tried these soft bamboo cloths for the kitchen and loved them.

They come in a recycled paper wrapper, 2 to a pack, for around $6.00 . You can find them in Target, Walgreen's, Walmart and a few other stores. Next month they will be having a big push with advertising--so look for coupons!

These soft cloths are made with natural materials: 60% rayon made from bamboo and 40% cotton, perfect for natural cleaning needs.

I like the natural-looking color, a soft brown, and the raised design is good for scrubbing. I was disappointed though in one way--I think as eco-friendly as these cloths are, I pretty sure they have dye in them--to make them look "au natural"!...

I got turned-on to Dr. Bronner's Pure-castile soaps last year. The Lavender-scented soap is my family's favorite. It comes in a variety of sizes and is available at a number of online vendors and at Target and at some other green-minded grocery stores. This Certified Fair Trade and Organic liquid soap comes in a 100% recycled container. The container is covered in unusual, philosophic quotations and poetry, which can be distracting in the shower! However, the lavender scent is wonderful and the smooth, moisturizing clean of real, all-nautral soap is heavenly. My husband and kids love this stuff! We use it diluted 1:1 with water for a bodywash. We use it as shampoo. My husband raves about using it as a shaving cream substitute. Some people brush their teeth with it--I haven't gotten up the guts to try that! Also, this is one of the oldest, all-natural, eco-friendly soaps on the market--well respected, a leader in natural body care! Check out more of my reviews on my blog titled Natural......

I recently tried Johnson's Nature's Source Natural Bathroom Cleaner with Scrubbing Bubbles. The container states that it "easily removes soap scum" and it certainly did! This new product from a Johnson Family Company uses plant-based, biodegradable cleaners and was not tested on animals. The ingredients are listed on the bottle--I like that, knowing what I am using when I clean. The aroma is a citrus-orange scent and smells great, even though some of the aroma is a synthetic fragrance.
