I think the children actually sleep longer because we are not constantly opening the door to see if they are awake. Interference is minimal and much less of a problem on this little monitor than it is on the commerical monitor that my husband uses to monitor his business. I like many others rarely have a color picture but the clarity of the picture is great. The night time pictures are better than what I can see when I enter the room (Old eyes take to long to adjust). I just wish that I would have had the availability of a product like this with my own children. Now, I am deciding which model to give my daughter to use in her home to monitor my newest grandchild that is......
