With the 40, and 80 GB HDs available, you get an awesome system that is also a Blu-ray player, unlike the Xbox 360 where you have to purchase the extra HD-DVD player. The 40 GB PS3 is available for $399 and some are bundled with either a movie or a game depending on the store that you shop at. Once you purchase, you can go and get 5 free Blu-ray movies which is an added $150 value. Though there is no backwards compatibility, the PS2 is now at $99 so you can purchase that separate very inexpensively. — If you are wanting an all around system for movies and games. Now the graphics are not up to part with the PS3 but the interactive controls makes it great for even small kids. Wii Sports is still one of the best games available...and you get it for free!!! Updates are not common with the system but I do suggest that you hook it up to your broadband so that you can use the virtual console and load up all of your favorite Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Nintendo 64, Turbo Graphics 16, or Sega game.
