Geekgal says "All the amenities of home!" about Wyndham Grand Desert - Las Vegas, NV

My husband and I purchased two 'trial' weeks through Wyndham vacation resorts. We recently had the opportunity to try it out at the Wyndham Grand Desert in Las Vegas, NV. We stayed in a one bedroom "condo" type room. It had a full kitchen, huge bath with 2 sinks, a jetted tub and a large shower, and even a washer and dryer in the room. The room was approximately 650 sq feet and had a living area and a dining area. It had all the amenities that you could want! We very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this timeshare hotel.

We have decided though to not buy into the full timeshare as it is just too expensive for our current financial situaiton. There are a lot of nice perks and benefits to their timeshare and if you are interested in that type of travel then I would highly recommend looking into it!
...

Geekgal says "An easy and excellent way to share files." about Microsoft Windows Home Server

I both use and tech support Servers, Macs, Windows (XP and Vista) as well as hardware and although I have a certificate in Network Administration and work on Windows Servers daily, I really love WHS. It is easy to install and easy to setup and has just the right features for a home user. I have run Windows Small Business Server, Linux, Mac OSX Server and now WHS and out of all of those WHS Is by far the easiest to setup and manage with the best of features for the home user. It's a great tool for file sharing and backing up your PC's as well as hosting Web sites and remoting into your home desktop. It has all the features that any home user could possibly want/need at a fraction of the cost and with minimal setup.

The only drawback is that you really need a pretty 'beefy' computer to run it on. I have an AMD Machine with 3 GB of Ram and 5 - 250gig HDD's. That's a terabyte of storage!! I have a ton of music, movies, web graphics, photos plus all my documents and I have...
...

Geekgal says "iPod Touch, a PDA with style!" about Apple - iPod Touch

My mom took pity on my super desire for the iPod Touch and bought me one! Wow, it is all that and a bag of chips! It has EVERYTHING that anyone could want. The apps that advertise for the iPhone will work on this baby too! (Well, except for the one's that actually need the phone part).

I have the 32gb model and let me tell you it holds a TON of stuff. I don't even have it half filled yet. My only complaint is that the battery could last a little longer but that is really the only thing I can think of that I've had an issue with. It syncs nicely with both my Mac and my PC and I've had a great time downloading those apps.

If you want an easy to use PDA with a whole lot more then get yourself an iPod Touch!
...

Geekgal says "The best little print company on the web!" about Vista Print

My husband and I both have started a business. One of the most important things one needs with a business is their own business card! Vista Print is THE best company I have found to provide quality business cards, stationary and signs. I have orderd numerous cards from them at a fraction of the cost of a regular print company. They are high quality cards at an excellent price! I've also ordered magnetic signs for our cars and some letterhead stationary as well as postcards and stamps. All their products are quality products. They truly stand behind their work. Their website is easy to navigate and they are available for questions and help.

If your in need of business cards or other products you can't go wrong at Vista Print!
...

Geekgal says "An excellent photo editing software that is easy to use" about Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.0

Adobe Photoshop Elements 7.x is well worth the price. It works great of Windows Vista, and is easy to install and use. It's not nearly as complicated as the full version of Adobe Photoshop nor is it as expensive. If you want a great piece of software made by one of the top companies in the photo editing business you can't go wrong with Photoshop Elements 7.x

I purchased my copy off of eBay and have not had one problem. I got it for about $50.00 (including shipping) and it is a brand new copy. I think the full version retail goes for around $80.00 (Amazon.com)

If you looking for a good quality photo editing software you can't go wrong with Photoshop elements 7.x!

Bought a 42" Refurb Vizio LCD HDTV from Tigerdirect.com and couldn't be happier. The Picture is excellent! It has an auto DPI setting so I get the best Picture possible at all times. I have my HD Tivo and my HD DVD player hooked up to this TV along with my stero and I am just amazed at the quality. It has 4 HDMI hookups as well as hook ups for your stero and other components. I've had this TV now for about 6 months and have not had one problem. Thanks Vizio for a quality product!!
...

Geekgal says "Excellent Server" about Apple Mac Mini

The MAC mini has been a great replacement server for my old Windows 2003 box. It performs like a champ and with little to no maintenance. I've had it running for over a year now (on 24/7 hosting several websites) and I have not had any problems. I Upgraded the Ram to 2 gig and other than that I haven't done a thing to it. I use a regular "pc" mouse, a mac wireless keyboard and a sony monitor. It is the only server on my network of 2 laptops and 2 PC's. I couldn't be happier with it and can't wait to upgrade to Leopard! ...

Geekgal says "Best Antivirus on the market!" about AVG Free Edition

AVG antivirus is the best that I have found. It doesn't slow down your computer (as long as your not using the firewall portion). It has an automated updates and scheduled scans and it is easy to use. I always recommend this antivirus to all my friends and clients. I have used it and compared it to McAfee and Trend Micro Office scan and it beats both of them hands down. (AVG found viruses that the other two missed!). I've tested it on machines at my work (I work in education) as well as at home and I don't think it can be beat. The latest version has spyware detection and a firewall. However, I recommend against the firewall unless you really know what you are doing as it has blocked access to some needed areas....

Geekgal says "The best little notebook in town!" about Apple MacBook Notebook

I have owned my Intel based Mac Book for over 3 years now. I was a little concerned since I got this as a refurb but it is going strong! Other than running a bit hot on the bottom it has had no problems. Continues to perform like a champ. I have Parellels installed with Win XP and all performs beautifully. If you want a great laptop that runs both MAC and Windows you can't go wrong with a MACbook!...
