GENXCHICK says "Dr. Scardetta is awesome!" about Dr. Ronald Scardetta - - Webster, NY

I hate a severe dental phobia due to bad service I received when I was 19. It took me six years and anti-anxiety medication to finally be able to brave the dentist's chair. Dr. Scardetta was referred to me by 2 friends at work, and boy, that was a good referral. He accepts my insurance and doesn't do the claim form thing, which is a huge bonus. Appointments are pretty easy to get and I never wait more than 5 minutes to get in the chair. I had some really bad teeth, and was very happy that he didn't chastise me for it. All in all, I had about 9 fillings, 4 extractions (2 wisdoms, 2 molars) and one crown. His method of administering the anesthesia is painless, and I am never in pain when he works on my teeth (unlike the dentist when I was younger). During the root canal, I almost fell asleep - I felt NOTHING before and after - it's been 5 years since then and I have not had any problems with my fillings or crown. His dental hygienist, Janet, is absolutely awesome as well. She is very sympathetic......

GENXCHICK says "This stuff works!" about CHANTIX

I started taking Chantix back in May, and after 3 weeks I was able to quit on June 8th for 45 days. I didn't even want to quit, but needed to for a medical procedure. I couldn't believe how relatively easy it was to just quit after 15 years as a heavy, full-flavor Marlboro smoker. I finished a pack and that was it. After some serious family issues, I actually forced myself to smoke again (stupidly), and trust me, it wasn't easy to go back. The first cigarette, each drag made me feel drunk and nauseated. I had stopped taking Chantix a couple of weeks before (again, stupidly).

I am on Chantix again, and plan on quitting again tomorrow (or when this current pack is gone, probably tonight). My mistake was not continuing to take it long enough after quitting to really help with the cravings I had in my time of stress. I am going to continue treatment for 6 months to ensure that I stay smoke-free.

As for the nausea, I'd had a few bouts in the beginning. Then I discovered that if I sit down...
...

GENXCHICK says "I had to switch post offices." about Post Office - Rochester, NY

I had the worst customer service here at this post office, out of all the places I have ever been. The male counterperson waved me over to wait on me, and then refused to when he learned I had an international package. This was my last stop before the airport to catch a plane, and I was really upset that I was told to get back in line. I explained my plight, and he said, "Stand here all you want, I'm going to lunch." He pulled his till out of the drawer, slammed it shut and walked away. My face was burning hot; I've never been more upset in my life. Nothing ever came of the complaint I made, either....

GENXCHICK says "This place sucks." about Rochester Institute of Technology - Rochester,NY

When I first moved to Rochester, I looked into getting information from all the schools in the area. One of them was Rochester Business Institute (it operates under another name now that I cannot recall). After my initial request for information, I was bombarded with email, snail mail and phone calls for about a year afterwards. I called to complain and I was patched through to the president's voicemail, and left all of my information and that I wanted all correspondance to cease. That made the situation worse, with the amount of stuff I got increasing twofold. I had to call a second time and leave another voicemail stating that I was going to call my lawyer about harassment if they didn't stop sending my things and calling me at home. It finally stopped after that.
...

GENXCHICK says "It's not the best, but it's not the worst." about Capital One - MasterCard

I am rebuilding my credit, and decided to go ahead and take Capital One up on an offer they had sent. I got an introductory interest rate of 0% for 6 months; it was 9.9% thereafter. Not great, but not terrible. I had an issue with a charge on my bill, so I called customer service. Not to my surprise, their call center representatives are located in India. The person I spoke with was nice, although at times she was a bit difficult to understand. She actually made the problem worse by adding instead of subtracting the charge I was disputing on my bill. I called again and the issue was resolved....
