Firefly7071 says "You will never buy store bought Vanilla again!" about Penzeys vanilla

I learned about Penzeys spices on a WW message board about 3 years ago. Penzey's has several stores, but non where I live here in Georgia. seasonally they send repeat customers a lovely magazine with every spice available as well as several excellent tried and true recipes submitted by other readers. My first online order was for a 16oz bottle of Pure Vanilla Single Strength extract. I had no idea how large 16oz was!!! I thought that I would NEVER have to order vanilla again. I was WRONG!! I went through that bottle in a year. When you first crack it open the overwhelming vanilla smell is intoxicating!! I grabbed a bottle of my usual vanilla extract and yuck! I didnt realize how horrible the stuff I had been using since I was a child was so horrible! Just smelling it inspired me to start baking. From cookies to waffles, I use Penzeys Single Strength Pure Vanilla Extract in every single dessert that I make. I even find myself splashing in a little extra all the...
...

Firefly7071 says "Best Knife I have every owned!" about Cutco Chefs knifes

Anyone who knows me know that I try really hard to buy products that are made right here in the US. I am also willing to pay more for high quality american made products. Wow, was I surprised to fine out that these knifes are the same price as my Wustoff chefs knife! Actually my Wustoff knife I need to have professionally sharpened every few months. Which costs me only $5.00 but that really starts to add up. Especially because the knife cost me $120.00. I just got the Chefs knife for $104 and I was blown away at how comfortable the handle was and that knife was sharper than any of my other two chefs knives. I personally only use a chefs knife and a paring knife in my kitchen and dont need any more knifes, but I would really enjoy the whole set some day.

Cutco knifes are sold by independant representative that come to your home. At first I was worried about a hard sell, but I was able to use the exact knifes in my own kitchen while I made dinner. I was pretty impressed and...
...

Firefly7071 says "Works W/O Drying and Drowseness" about Advil Cold and Sinus

I just spent the holidays with my family up in North Dakota. I immediately came down with a cold like I always do when I travel to that super cold, dry, and windy place! I was there to visit my mom and day who I only see once a year and this cold was not going to ruin it. I quickly was losing my voice and was SOOO congested and could not breath. I was not going to let this cold ruin my vacation. I went to the drug store and didn't mess around. I bought Advil Cold and Sinus. I had to fill out a form and get it from a pharmacist and show ID, but I got it. I took 2 right away and about 2 hours later was finally breathing though my nose. I took 2 in the morning, and then 2 before bed and in 2 days my congestion was gone! My voice didn't come back for about 4 days, but I could live with that!

A couple of days after I got my cold, my dad came down with the very same thing. My dad is anti medication because he says it always makes him tired. Well, I convinced him to try...
...

Firefly7071 says "Removes Soap Scum off My Shower Doors!" about Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap

Ok, I thought that I would write a review first before I read all the others, or I would get too may ideas and my review would be WAY too long. I came across Dr. Bronner's liquid castile soap about 3 years ago during my all natural cleaning products in the home quest. I was VERY skeptical, but doing research on Castile soap basically came up that THIS is REAL soap and everything else that I have been using for years is chemical detergents.

Real Soap you say? Yes, REAL soap! Imagine having to go to a special store to get REAL soap! Well, I found it and it cleans better than any chemical detergent that I owned. I have since thrown out every cleaning product and now ONLY use this soap. I add some to a spray bottle with water and used it for easy cleaning in bathroom, kitchen counters, and even cleaning mirrors and glass. (I know crazy!! but it does a great job) I add a little to a wash cloth and wipe down clear glass shower doors and tile and the soap scum come right off!!!...
...

Firefly7071 says "Anew Ultimate Age Repair for Night, Affordable High End Results" about Avon Anew Ultimate Age Repair for Night

I have been using the whole Anew line for over a year now and can not be more pleased. I have always purchased full regimens that go together to achieve the best results. I wanted a quality system that I could fit into my new "bad economy budget" and came across the Anew line on Ebay. I went to the Avon website and answered the questionnaire to find out what were the products that I needed for the best results. I got the

Anew Alternative Intensive Foam Cleaner (discontinued)

Anew Rjuvenate Flash Facial Revitalizing Concentrate

Anew Alternative Intensive Eye Cream

Anew Clinical Advanced Retexturizing Peel

Solutions Plus Ageless Results Intensive Line Filler

The first week of using the whole system, I broke out with the usual "new product acne" that I am VERY prone to. Just some basic pimples around my mouth, but I am used to this reaction and stuck with the regimen as laid out. The very next week I started to notice how smooth my skin was getting. I have huge pores that...
...

Firefly7071 says "Best Tasting Milk On The Market!" about organic valley Milk

I first tried Organic Valley's skim milk years ago and I was floored at how creamy skim milk could possible taste! This milk has absolutely NO aftertaste or ANY weird chemically flavors. I have no idea how they do it but it is soooo creamy! This milk is the most expensive milk in the store, but I find myself still buying it. At $4.00 a half gallon it is totally over the top but I save in other places just so my kids can drink this exclusively. When it goes on sale for 2 for $6.00 I stock up and freeze it. I also scour the internet for coupons because I have to have this milk. I have tried all the other Organic Valley products like yougurt, cheese, etc... and they are good too, but the milk is above and beyond ANY other milk on the market. I think that Horizon's milk tastes "off" Actually Publix brand 1% milk is decent too. But when it comes down to it, Organic Valley Milk is in my cart!

Firefly7071 says "Not Good" about Smart Balance Fat Free Milk with Omega 3's & Vitamin E

I fell bad saying this, but I got 3 1/2 gallons for free when I bought the the Smart Balance spread. I literally could not drink it. It was not out of date, but you can literally taste the stuff that has been added to it and the milk flavor was bad too. Again, so sorry for the negative review, but even for free, I would never get this milk again. But I do LOVE the spread!!
...

Firefly7071 says "If you have a child, you need this" about Bissell SpotBot Robotic Wet/Dry Vacuum

I was given the SpotBot by my mom, who is a cleanaholic, and thought that my upright steamcleaner was way too cumbersome. I use the SpotBot at least once a week. I have two boys and a cat. Especially during potty training, having it filled and ready to go is what helped me get through the day. I have picked up EVERY mess you can think of. Vomit, pee, poop, a whole gallon of bleach that was on my carpet, Burt's Bees shampoo, juice... you name it!!

After you clean up yucky stuff, I would fill the sink full of H20 and a little bleach and just take the wand and suck some of that bleach water up to disinfect the wand, hose, and the dirty water container, to prevent it from smelling down the road.
...

I have known Christine Schoppe Wauls personally and professionally for over 4 years now. She taught an excellent STEP Parenting class to my husband and I, which we refer to regularly, or just pick up the phone and give Christine a call! She was a life saver for us with a 5 year old and a new baby. With decades of professional experience and 5 children of her own, I would recommend her to any center who is serious about staff development and the children that they serve.
...
