Faye-in-Bham says "The Bounce Dryer Bar: No more searching for stray sheets." about Bounce Dryer Bar

I normally use a liquid fabric softener in the washer, mainly because it's easier than searching through the laundry for those dryer sheets after I take the loads out of the dryer. Invariably, I'll miss one and find it several days later clinging to the inside of a pair of jeans -- after I've put them on.

With the Bounce Dryer Bar, I'll never have to search for a wayward sheet again -- and it works so well, I may just let it completely replace my liquid fabric softener (hear that, Downy?).

At first I was skeptical the thing would stay put. It has a relatively small adhesive strip, and given the curve of the dryer's drum, I thought "no way" -- and according to the directions, you're not supposed to stick it on one of the fins. But it's been in place for nearly 3 weeks now, and it's showing not the slightest wiggle.

Another thing I was afraid of was that the scent would be too strong (at the beginning anyway, when the bar is "fresh"). I have a sensitive nose and don't like overpowering scents...
...

Faye-in-Bham says "Pepsi Throwback doesn't quite live up to my expectations..." about Pepsi Throwback

With all the overwrought, anti-High Fructose Corn Syrup propaganda coming from the "Food Police", I'm not surprised some companies are at least trying to "fix" the problem. There are still old-fashioned sugar-sweetened soft drinks out there, but they're hard to find and they cost more than the "bad" kind. I have found and tried Jones Soda (who use 100% cane sugar), and found it to be good, but costly.

When I first heard about Pepsi Throwback, I thought "oh, no -- Pepsi's pulling a "new Coke".by trying to re-invent something that's just fine the way it is. I've been a Pepsi drinker from so far back, I used to buy it by the 8-pack in returnable glass bottles. I don't drink diet anything. I usually go through a 12-pack a week. I prefer it as cold as possible, and even drink it out of one of those frosty-freezer-mugs that turn it into a slushy if it's just right.

To be honest, I don't recall the exact time Pepsi did go from using sugar to HFCS -- but I can honestly say I barely noticed...
...

Faye-in-Bham says "Spinach/Artichoke: Okay, but not my favorite variety of Philly." about Kraft - Philadelphia Spinach & Artichoke Cream Cheese Spread

I love Philly Cream Cheese Spread, and usually get the strawberry variety to slather onto Keebler Club Crackers. When I was given the opportunity to taste new varieties, I jumped at the chance. I chose Spinach & Artichoke over the Sundried Tomato variety, mainly because I like spinach more than tomatoes. Also, I was afraid the tomato variety would look and taste more like tomato aspic (which I dislike even more than anything else with tomatoes in it).

I chose to pair the spread with Carr's Crackers (a slightly lighter, tastier English version of a Ritz Cracker), mainly because I don't like Triscuit or Wheat Thins and I couldn't find my first choice, Keebler Club Crackers.

I was expecting a stronger spinach flavor, more along the lines of a dip. The artichoke flavor is almost not even a factor. I could see the bits of artichoke, but unless I picked it out and ate it alone, I couldn't taste it. The spinach flavor and texture stood out far more prominently and even then, it was still mild....
...
