Fantasmo says "Does the job okay." about Kenmore Elite Electric Dryer - HE 4

My Kenmore Elite Large Capacity dryer does the job okay, but on many ocassions, it doesn't dry the clothes completely and I'm having to put them through another dry cycle. So, the "Energy Saver" feature is almost a mute point. It has issues with leaving "spots" on my clothes as well. I believe a piece of the baked enamel has come off somewhere within on the drum. I had a dryer that did that before, as well. I do not especially care for the drop down door feature either. It makes it really difficult to get the clothes out of the back of the drum. I find I'm having to all but crawl inside the dryer to remove my laundry!

But, the machine was given to me. However, to replace it, I would look at something with a door opening from either side, and something that had a higher rating on drying time.

On the up side, it is a quiet running machine. The lint filter is right inside the door and is easy to remove & replace.

Fantasmo says "GE it's a star!" about GE Profile Dishwasher

Gee, my GE is a star! A triple Star...

I love that it has a large capacity load basket for those times when my dogs make a mess and I wind up having to use every rag in the house to clean up after them! Or, when I'm having to wash my blankets, I don't have to take them to the commercial washers in town--I can do them right here at home. And, because I'm extra sensitive to soaps and cleaners, I can do an extra rinse to be sure I get all the cleaners out of my clothes before putting them in the dryer. And, the fact that my washer is an Energy Saving device is good for me and the environment!
...

Fantasmo says "My Swamp Cooler is My "Champion"!" about Champion Swamp Cooler

When it's hot and I need to cool off, there's nothing worse than going in the house where it's at least as hot or hotter inside than it is outside. I love having a swamp cooler--it keeps the air in the house at a level a person can live in and provides extra moisture to the air as well.

My "Champion" Swamp Cooler does just that. The only draw back that it has is the cooling pads are made from what appears to be some kind of shaved wood or other fiberous material. It comes loose and gets sucked up by the pump clogging the hoses dripping water back into them. So, I or someone I know, has to unplug it somehow. It's not an easy task, but when it's working, it's really working! It's like a freezer zone, even in the hottest of days!
...

Fantasmo says "Pitts making a comeback-love the animal, make a great pet." about Dog Breed American Pitt Bull Terrier

My roommmate's pitt bull terrier just had the cutest litter of puppies! She (the dog) had 10..I'm told that it's unusual for a litter to have 10 in it and have all the pups survive. My roommate made sure these pups had the chance to stay and grow up in this world. She was very conscience about the well-being of those little ones.

I'm also told that the breed is hard to own; the animal people in the city won't allow anyone under 18 to adopt one, and you have to have a 6 foot fence. Plus, a whole slew of other requirements go along, just for adopting a pitt bull terrier. That is unfortunate because as a witness to my little cocker spaniel who about chewed off a neighbors young shepherds foot while walking the neighborhood, I'd say that the only two that wanted to play were the pitt bull terriers. My cocker spaniel was out for blood! I don't know what would have happened had she not been reigned back in, just in the nick of time!

At any rate, the puppies are fabulous and they will go to good......

Fantasmo says "A little bit of everything Disney has done thus far..." about Enchanted

Enchanted was the film that brought all stories together and made them "real" for youngsters. It was in a way a collage of themes, but in a way that was cute and entertaining for young people and enough to still believe their "dreams can come true". I believe it is important for children to believe their dreams can come true...Not because of magic (as in Harry Potter), but because they work at them. Enchanted had that feeling of mystery and hard work behind the "making it happen", which is how real life is...I liked the twist at the end where the prince returned with the "other woman" and the cartoon woman stayed in New York. I liked that she and Patrick Dempsey's character and his daughter played and had fun...I think as adults we get so wrapped up in our busy lives, we "forget" how to have "magic", the kind that we have when we play. So, I give the movie 3 stars- mostly because it was predictable, but also because it was fun....

Fantasmo says "I'm allergic to the sun yet, I have a tan. Thank you bullfrog." about Bullfrog Superblock Lotion Sunblock SPF 45

Bullfrog is absolutely the best. If I apply it, it protects. I can remember the first time I ever used it...Torrance, CA. Fishing on the pier, and I was getting burned. Asked one of the merchants on the pier what they recommended. Bullfrog was unnanimous. It was what the surfers used, and it didn't wash off for 8 hours without soap & water. I had that first bottle for about three years. Then, I found it in more retail stores. My biggest gripe: you had to rub it in again after 5 minutes to "activate" it. Sometimes I forgot. But now, it seems most of the Bullfrog is lotion that doesn't need reminding and it's still just as effective. I am Italian and Lebanese with some sharp Caucasian thrown in there, and I'm allergic to the sun! Yet, I tan beautifully when I use my Bullfrog. If I miss a spot when applying, that's what burns. Otherwise, I'm always protected. I tell everyone and yet they still use other products. Too bad for them. I'm with you Bullfrog, to the end. You're MY Prince in shining......
