EllenStarr says "I wanted to wander through this Knitting store all night!" about Knitch Knitting - Atlanta, GA
Before I made my most recent trip to Atlanta I did a little web search for knitting stores and came up with Knitch. What a great store! Knitch is at 1052 St. Charles Avenue, Atlanta, Ga 30306. Their telephone number is 404-745-YARN and you can find directions and more information at www.knitchknitting.com.

Hands down, this is the most inclusive and best yarn store I have ever been in. I love to make things and enjoy crochet, knitting and more. It is a great feeling to wear something I have made and receive positive feedback. More than that, it just relaxes me to knit.

Two floors of supplies including every conceivable yarn, books, supplies, a great selection of buttons, beautiful supply bags, and more. There are plenty of sales people on hand, all friendly, and ready to help. I could wander in this store for hours. Prices were typical. Just being in the store is an inspiration. Coffee is available to enjoy while shopping.

Classes are held and many are given by the authors of the books. If......

EllenStarr says "A great nail salon in a thoroughly modern and tasteful atmospher" about Polished - Smyrna, GA
Polished is a great nail salon in a new shopping area of Smyrna, Ga at I-285 & Atlanta Road. I was so pleased with the decor. It reminds me of great items from a new catalog I have been receiving. The salon has a very classy feel and I can see it being located in many first class and resort areas.

Of course, atmosphere isn't everything in a nail salon. The music was great and we were offered water or soda as we enjoyed our foot soak from a very cool bench with beautiful back pillow. Our feet were resting comfortably in their own mini tub.

Customer service is important here and the two sisters that I met the night we were there obviously know their business. What a great job these two have done in opening this salon. Everything about our visit was stellar.

We each had the one of the signature pedicures and manicures. The prices are reasonable and I definitely recommend making an appointment. Check out their website, give it a try, and enjoy all the new shops while in the area
...

EllenStarr says "On the EllenStarr wine score this gets a 92" about Beaulieu Vineyard , 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon

Having had this wine on numerous occasions, with or without food, I find it consistenly enjoyable. It is excellent paired with fish, meat, pasta and just by itself.

Finding this wine has not been too difficult and I might recommend your local wine stores. I like to look for wines online just by doing a search (google being my favorite).

Keeping the wine at the proper temperature and then letting it breathe before drinking only adds to its flavor.

I love the fact that it is full bodied, full of flavors, complex, not too acidic and has such a nice long finish. I especially enjoy sharing this wine with good friends and family, i.e Mark McQuade, Bruce Porter and Kevin Schwanz. Reports of the wine from the above are all very favorable.
...

EllenStarr says "A Rogers Family Company Coffee from Costco" about San Francisco Bay Certified Organic Coffee Rainforest Blend

This coffee is by The Rogers Family Company and I reviewed them with The Organic Coffee Co. Much of this review is the same, as I wanted this review to be a cross reference.

The coffee is excellent and I love coffee. The coffee is organic and never leaves the stomach upset. Please refer to my review of The Organic Coffee Co. for more information.

I found a large bag of San Francisco Bay Certified Organic Rainforest Blend Coffee, 100% Arabica Coffee at Costco. I was thrilled to realize this was produced by the same family as The Organic Coffee Company. The coffee is every bit as good the French Roast under the name The Organic Coffee Company.

After researching the web site mentioned above, I now know this is the same family. They are a civic and world conscious company, another good reason to support their business.

...

EllenStarr says "Coffee with a great aroma, never bitter, and easy on the stomach" about The Organic Coffee Co French Roast

The Organic Coffee Company makes an excellent Fair Trade Certified French Roast Whole Bean Coffee. I have enjoyed this coffee for many months. The aroma is excellent when the bag is opened and when the coffee is brewing. It keeps it color throughout the use of the bag. I love the complete ritual of my morning coffee. First comes opening the bag and deep rich aroma, the sound of the beans grinding, and listening for the beep to let me know the coffee is ready. This coffee is smooth, deep, full bodied and easy to digest.

The Organic Coffee Company is owned by the Rogers Family, www.rogersfamilyco.com. I found a large bag of San Francisco Bay Certified Organic Rainforest Blend Coffee, 100% Arabica Coffee at Costco.
EllenStarr says "Nextflix is a waste of money" about Netflix

Netflix is a Movie rental service that comes to your home by mail. The service has been very disappointing. In the short 3 months we have had the service, we have received one scratched DVD and one cracked one. They were both unable to be watched. I also find the selection to be poor and slow in new releases. Their response to complaints is quick, but does not add time or DVD's to the monthly charge. We have cancelled and will be happy to visit our local DVD rental store.
...

EllenStarr says "A camera that fits in your pocket and is 7.2 mega pixels" about Casio - Exilim EX-Z70 digital camera

I have loved this camera. It was recommended to me by an avid photographer. It has been easy to use with directions that were easy to follow. It has also been very durable as I dropped it while travelling in Italy and was able to keep taking pictures. I wouldn't recommend dropping it, however. I like that it has a viewfinder as well as the large screen to view the digital photos. The quality of the photos is great and I don't think I would want anything less than a 7.2 mega pixel.
...

EllenStarr says "An easy to use photo workshop that makes my photos pop" about Picasa2

I learned about Picasa2 from my nephew, a computer nerd. It is an easy to use photo program that I have been able to share with friends. I have used it to make albums of my travels and like the way I can upload them to the web, where they are easy for others to access. The editing of photographs has been very exciting and encouraging as I broaden my skills.
...
