      <description>This printer was received as a gift, and I was very excited to be able to print my own pictures and to scan items that I sell on ebay.
 &amp;mdash; I get great photos out of this machine, good colors, they are always a bit darker than they look on my computer screen, but that may be that I have a backlit screen, I have not tried hooking it up to a computer with a regular monitor. 
 &amp;mdash; It was pretty much ready to go out of the box, but like any other printer that anyone in my family has purchased, it did not come with its own usb cord. I did have a small issue with the pictures not printing straight at first, but after several pictures, it seemed to fix itself. Now I can print almost any size picture that I want, for framing, scrapbooking, or to send to relatives. I have noticed that the price of ink has gone up in the last year, but so has my favorite candy bar and soda.
