DukeofEarl58 says "Polaroid, a name proved through generation to be Red,White&Blue." about Polaroid - Model # TDA-03211c

First let me tell you that I am from a generation that saw the first T.V.s that came in a mahogany cabinet, with a small round screen, the picture was snowy, needless to say black and white and limited to about three programs, one of them being Roy Rogers and his favorite horse Trigger, and the ever famous "As the world turns". Technology to me has taken so many giant leaps through the years that I am at times hesitant to just go out and buy the next new thing, when I first saw the LCD screens on computer games I thought that there was no way that this could ever be brought to the quality necessary for the television viewing public. It seemed that it was limited to toys and such, but it would never make it to the scrutiny of the every critical viewing eye of the television conisuer. How wrong I was, and I am truthful when I say that I limit my admissions to being wrong to a handful of times, so this review does carry some conviction behind it. When my wife and I first decided to replace...
...

DukeofEarl58 says "The price of the ink, is that important?" about Kodak ESP-3

I started dealing with home printers from the curios corner of the confused, my first encounter, it is out of kindness that I leave the name of that money pit unprinted, left me nearly printer-phobic. I have loved taking pictures and entering them in our local fair, just as a lark, not really expecting any great reviews of my eye of the world, I have humbly found that the judges really like my photos. I have about a 90% blue ribbon reputation going now and am really loving the whole thought of someday becoming a famous photographer, come on now, it is O.K. to dream!

I spent about two years learning the different photo software products out there and I have my favorite, but the printer is what I am talking about now so I will leave the software for later, but just touching on it, I have gotten a reputation of being very good at taking old damaged photos and restoring them to like new condition, no I can't compete with the guys at the local super-center, not that fast, but I do believe...
...

DukeofEarl58 says "Defied laws of space and energy!" about Nissan Versa SL - 2009

This Nissan Versa is our second, the first one, a 2008, what can I say? It saved my life, or at least kept me from becoming a traffic statistic. Some of you know how we were trained in the 60"s about defensive driving? I have practiced it for fourty years now and have managed to keep the OTHER drivers, if that is what you can call them, I personally would call them something else, no, not one of those explatives; something less offensive, like "Demolition Drivers!", from manageing to get through my defence's. The other person tried to jump through a very small gap in traffic, with the light red in her lane and to say the least impressed me with the statment, "I thought if I gunned it I would make it.". Thank God I was driving the Versa. The last thing I remember was thinking "No way is that driver going to actually pull in front of me?" then the horrible sound of the tires clawing at the pavement desperatly trying to stop the destruction of my wife's pride and joy, only her second "new"......

DukeofEarl58 says "If the child wont go in who cares if it is safe?" about Graco Travel System

The Graco convertible car seat and stroller puts every other combination child restraint safely system back in the cave man era. I have found that a child can confound even the most innovative parent when it comes to getting them in and out of the seat quickly and safely, the belts and clips are ingeniously designed to work well, even when the car has been sitting in the parking lot of the mall for an hour and it is over 100 degrees. Greco has thought ahead and realized that children are not exactly always co-operative when being placed in or removed from the very system that is designed to save them from harm. With all of the bottle holders and storage areas on the stroller and seat a parent can actually enjoy taking their precious child not only to the mall, but also on a stroll through the park. With the large wheels designed with adequate breaking in case the area is unlevel makes not only a ride in a car safe, but a ride with Mom or Dad also worry free. The well placed see through...
...
