Duhlynn says "Best multi tasker for dry skin" about Aquaphor Healing Ointment 1.75 oz

A friend told me his dermatologist recommended this to him for dry peeling lips. When I had the same problem, I decided to give it a try since it worked so well for him. Not only did it work for my lips, I use it on my hands, feet, elbows, eyebrows, and even on my face when I get really dry patches. I use it under gloves or socks before going to bed and wake up with super soft feet and hands. The only drawback is that I tend to have oily skin with dry patches and when I use it on my face it sometimes causes blemishes. It is also a bit heavy to use for a facial moisturizer. —...

I keep a little tube of this in my purse for my hands, and a tube in my makeup kit for dry patches I may have missed with my moisturizer. I also mix with my foundation in the winter time when my skin tends to be drier. It heals my dry patches quickly —...

Duhlynn says "Not the best, and the smell is terrible" about Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading Peel with Celluzyme 40g 1.4 oz

Neutrogena Advanced Solutions Acne Mark Fading cream doesn't live up to what I expect from the Neutrogena line of skin care. Other Neutrogena products I have used worked very well, some of them wonderful, which I will review also, but this one let me down. It has somewhat of a burning sensation when you put it on, which says on the package it means this is "working". When I leave it on for the recommended amount of time and rinse it off, my skin feels clean, but also dry and no noticeble "fading". I have used the product for about 3 months now, and still no noticeable difference. The worst thing about this product is the smell. I can't even describe it, but it is not pleasant to say the least. I'm still searching for the perfect "acne fading...

Duhlynn says "Quality has gone down, prices have gone up." about Chadwicks of Boston Clothing

I have been ordering from Chadwick's for about 15 years now. When I started I was in college, so bargains were all I shopped for. I used to get nice clothes from this catalog for a very good price. It seems like as the years have gone by, the prices are not that great. I can find the same clothes at Dress Barn, Macy's (on sale) or Khols for about the same price. Also, I find that the quality of the clothing has gone down considerably. The fabrics are thinner, and the seams are not always straight. This is a good way to shop if you don't mind the hassle of returns and don't like to go to the...

Duhlynn says "Why do all the "beauty experts" rave about this?" about Maybelline Great Lash Curved Brush Washable Mascara, Velvet

I tried using this mascara in high school, being on a budget, it was affordable and I had read that it was the best. It was a disappointment then, and 25 years later, still remains the worst I have ever used. I have tried the waterproof and the regular versions and I can't say anything good about it. ...

Duhlynn says "A miracle for my fine hair" about Pureology shampoo and conditioner for hydration and color treated hair

I have tried the whole line of Pureology products, and they are all wonderful! The straightening products make my curly hair straight and shiny, the hydrating products condition like no other, and the volumizing products are a miracle for my fine, thin hair. I like to mix the straightening shampoo with the hydrating conditioner, then apply the volumizer and the Root Lift before drying. I end up with a new head of straight, shiny, full hair! I only wish the products were a little bit cheaper--I usually end up spending about $80 for the shampoo, conditioner, and volumizer. —...

Duhlynn says "Best I've found--and I've tried a bunch" about Lady Speed Stick Invisible Dry Wild Freesia Antiperspirant & Deodorant

All of the scents they offer smell great. I had been switching anti-perspirants back and forth because they all seemed to stop working after time. I have been using this one for 2 years and so far it has worked great, even in our 100 degree summers. It claims not to leave white residue on clothing, but i find that it does on dark clothes. —...
