DonnieGraves says "Great read about life in the Marine Corps." about The Corps Semper Fi

I have read and re-read The Corps series as well as, all of Griffin's works. If I tried to pick the best book of this series I would be hard pressed to do so. I decided to review Book One, Semper Fi, since it introduces almost all of the major players in the series. Griffin the best-selling author of the BROTHERHOOD OF WAR SERIES has moved into other areas. He now writes about the Marine Corps, the OSS during WWII, Homeland Defense, and the Philadelphia Police Department. I recommend not only individual books Griffin writes but all of his series as well. I have read some of these books twenty-five times. When Griffin adds a new book to his series, I read the whole series starting with the first one. I read these books usually twice a year. Griffin writes for an individual target audience, but his books are read my many others. I graduated from a small Baptist college in Mississippi, and my books were passed around and read by many students as well as instructors. Once the reader gets past...
...

DonnieGraves says "Great list" about My Top Movies- Favorite 15

My favorite all-time movie is Gone With The Wind. I have seen it over 200 times, next comes The Green Berets with John Wayne (I am a retired Green Beret.), The rest are not in any particular order, Grease, The Longest Day, Red River John Wayne's best movie.

I like Peter Pan, Snow White, Bambi, and The Lion King by Disney. I loved both versions of The Pink Panther. War Games and Glory are definitely on my list. Any movie with Will Smith makes my list. I can sit and watch old musicals all day, West Side Story, Doris Day's and Debbie Reynolds" movies give me goose bumps.

Movies of today are almost all great because of the technology used, all of the Star Wars movies and Lord of the Rings make for a great addition. I liked the old "Horror" movies of the 50s and 60s, because they made you think and scared you by circumstance, there was not a lot of blood and things. They left a lot to your imagination.

I have seen so many movies that there are probably 200 or more that I could watch over and over....
...

DonnieGraves says "If yiu don't have a Res Dog, you ain't got a dog." about Dog German Shepherd Mix

I have several pets, mostly dogs. But the one that lives with us as apart of my new family is a "Res Dog." Junior, is a mixed breed, when I took him to get his shots and have him neutered. They said he was Heinz 57, I told the Vet that "Junior" (named after Dale, Jr., of course) is a pure bred "Res Dog," being from New Mexico and coming from Navaho Reservation, she understood and changed his breed. For those who have never seen a "Res Dog", they can look like any other dog, but were born and raised on reservations. Jr., had a yard of 160,000 acres to play in when he was a puppy. We have since moved to TX where he is now the master of his own yard. Jr. was abused when he adopted me. Now he is a pampered dog with a real future. He is definitely a one-man dog.He likes everyone, but loves me. When he is in the house he sleeps or lays by my feet. Except when my grandson, Daniel, is around. They were born on the same day 12 Dec 06. I am proud that Jr. decided to adopt the family and me. If...
...

DonnieGraves says "Fantastic." about Dell Monitors

I am blind in one eye with limited vision in the eye, therefore I like larger monitors. i currently have a Dell 22" flat screen mopnitor and am planning on getting a 32" monitor. The monitor I have now is the best I ever used. I would recommend Dell monitors to anyone needing a new monitor. My last monitor was a 17" and the difference is like daylight and darkness. As the age of computers progresses we, who use our equipment for gaming and surfing have to keep up with technology and constantly upgrade, I am building a system now that will be obsolete as soon as it is finished. I shall have to upgrade both the computer and monitor, which will be a Dell....
