For someone who usually buys scissors at the local dollar store for fear that the children will take them and never return them, $20 bucks seemed like a bit much for me to spend. I finally made my mind up that, if I didn't like them, they could always be returned. This decision has been a pretty darn good one ever since.<br/>My first knowledge of the Black &amp; Decker Rechargable scissors were on a commercial. A family friend had received a pair as a gift and told me how much she loved hers. I personally thought she was crazy, who in the world could LOVE scissors? As I stated before, I kept checking them out and finally decided to purchase a pair for myself. I finally understood why she LOVED her scissors so much.<br/>Initially, you charge them for a few hours, turn them on and, depending on your usage, can use them forever on a single charge.
