For $120 I recently bought an electric ukulele on ebay from a man who was unable to return it after a mistaken purchase. It comes with a hard case & was virtually tuned when I opened it & began to play. Wow! What a beautiful sound. It can be played both acoustically & electrically. The case is light-weight & well balanced.

The style of ukulele is a Les Paul cutaway design & with more frets (20) than a regular soprano (12) it's possible to get right down for some great riffs....

We had to move house & I became aware that the *Konka TV*(1) wouldn't fit in the loungeroom or, indeed, any other room at the new address. So I began a search for a flat screen LCD TV on my favourite shoppoing site - EBAY!

It didn't take long to acquire the new Kogan & I won the auction for $305. The sellers highlight the lack of 'middlemen' & retailers in between the buyer & seller that make these units so affordable.

I was keen to see that we could switch between all the devices & view the quality of LCD & widescreen functionality whether working or being entertained.The screen resolution is higher than the HD standard but it has only a analogue tuner.

At present we use it on the PC, but we are able to switch & watch TV & DVD, if we want & with the HD STB, no worries!

    About 2 years ago we bought a KONKA 80cm CRT TV due to my failing sight. I was struggling to read the subtitles on SBS & the music files on Rage & jtv.

    "I'm don't want to spend more than $400 on the unit." I told my partner, Rocky !

     I took about a month watching & bidding on EBAY, then swooped when I saw the KONKA. Only just on 2 years old then, it was just the thing for me ! A bargain at $350 !
    We drove southwest for an hour in a 2 tonne open cage truck from Rocky's workplace & when we found the residence, we saw that the sellers had moved it to the top of their drive & supplied some blankets for us for the journey home. We hoped & prayed it wouldn't rain or topple over & get damaged.
     It has two CD storage cabinets holding 88 CD's in total. With shelves at the rear of these, it definitely can hold all the bits & pieces that you may want to use with it-cables, ear or headphones, connections etc. Below the TV are 2 partitioned areas for DVD, DVcamera......

    Recently I murdered the cheap microwave oven I thought I'd get away with only paying $50 for @ Go-Lo.It's now resting in PIECES in the back yard-where it landed!
    I searched the web but found nothing with the specific features I wanted. Then on a visit to KMart I found a sale on & for the next 30mins I checked them all out to compare prices.
    On the bottom shelf there was a shiny, bright, fire-engine red Sanyo 20L 800w m/wave for $99. A white one with the same features & a stainless steel one with the same specs. on the same shelf were both $149!!
     I double checked the serial & product code numbers against the price tag & BINGO !! I guess the coloured case wasn't too popular, or, maybe it was!
    It's a beauty...& it shows off the collection of travel fridge magnets I've acquired much better than on the fridge door. It also looks clean & bright ALL the time-no grubby handprints or grime show up like they do on the white or stainless steel ones.
