Dellicious says "Consistently good!" about Cheddar's - Macon, GA

The Cheddar's in Macon GA is always a good choice for dining out. Recently during the holidays a group of about 10 of us met there for dinner on a Friday night. We'd called ahead to let them know we'd have a crowd sitting together, and they placed us at tables on the patio. The weather was mild, the fireplace in the middle of the patio was lit, everything was perfect. Our waitstaff was top notch and the food was delicious. There was no sense of them wanting us to hurry and leave once we'd finished dining, which was nice, as some of us had not seen each other in several years.
This restaurant is definitely a place to visit!
...

Dellicious says "We won't stay here again" about Red Roof Inn Macon - Macon, GA

We've stayed at this Red Roof twice before we returned over the recent holidays. The hotel is going downhill in a hurry.
The first thing I saw while sitting in the car waiting for my husband to check us in was a car pull up with two men in it; one so very obviously a drug addict and needed to be on the show "Intervention". I don't say that lightly; this man had a serious drug problem that was evident just by looking at him. As he got out of the car, another car pulled up with a man and woman in it. I happen to know the young lady personally, and she is bad news. These two obviously knew each other, and both got out of the car with shopping bags and went inside. I shudder to think what they were doing at the hotel, as they were both from the immediate area as evidenced by what I know of the young woman and their car tags.
The room smelled musty, and there was black mold growing under the bathroom sink. The towels were thin. On the second morning there we ran out of toilet tissue, and there...
...

Dellicious says "Biltmore House is a must see when in Asheville!" about Biltmore House - Asheville, NC

Living within 65 miles of Asheville NC we are Season Pass holders at the Biltmore House, the largest home in America. Every time we visit Biltmore we learn something new about the home and grounds.

The tour of the Biltmore House is superb. Visitors can pay $8.00 extra for the audio tour, and I highly recommend it. It is just short snippets one wouldn't otherwise learn during the self tour of the mansion.

It is simply astounding to think as you go on the tour that people actually lived in such a way. There are antiques everywhere, including a chess set and table that originally belonged to Napolean Bonaparte.

Equally interesting to me was the other part of the house, the section where the household help lived and worked. Vanderbilt put many modern things in the house, including an indoor swimming pool with underwater lights and a bowling alley.

The grounds of Biltmore are stunning. It is well groomed as well as looking natural, so much a part of the landscape being native plants....
...

Dellicious says "I'll never go back to a Windows based PC!" about Apple iMac All-In-One 20" Desktop Computer

I'd never laid fingers to a MAC before my husband purchased two for us last month. I've been a loyal Gateway customer until the last one started crapping out a year before the 3 year extended warranty was up, and they gave me problems about fixing it. I said "no more!" and started looking at the iMAC. I love it! Easy to learn, easy to use, so many options, and I can still use Microsoft Office on it, which is important to me, because I do work that requires Word.

What's not to love? It takes up so much less space, the graphics are awesome (I am an amateur photographer), many features I've yet to even tap into. Took all of about 10 minutes to get out of the box, set up and turned on. And who says it's more expensive than a PC? IMO it's less expensive, because everything I needed (other than Microsoft Office) was loaded onto it already! I have paid more for PCs in the past, not to mention the extras I wanted/needed on them.

I'm sold on the iMAC, and don't intend to go back!

...

Dellicious says "A good quick breakfast!" about Quaker Weight Control Oatmeal

I've had RNY gastric bypass, so protein is my main concern when eating. I also cannot eat much sugar, and this oatmeal accomplishes both issues for me. It's a great alternative to eggs and meat for breakfast, is a nice change of pace, and easy to prepare....

Dellicious says "The best for warding off a cold!" about Airborne

I take this at the first sign of a cold, and can feel the effects almost immediately. I continue to take it the first day or two, and am convinced it lessens the duration and severity of the cold. Some of the flavors are too much for me, but the grapefruit suits me well....

Dellicious says "Perfect for gastric bypass patients!" about Viactiv Calcium Chews

Calcium and vitamins are an every day thing for me because I've had gastric bypass. These are my "dessert" after meals! Just enough to curb my sweet tooth, and I get the calcium my body needs. Cost is not an issue for me, because it's something I must have, just like a prescription. I do not think they are expensive at all. Very convenient, and I like that they are individually wrapped.
...

Dellicious says "The most exquisite!" about Paloma Picasso perfume

I've never had any of this particular fragrance, but a friend did, and I was blown away by it. A little out of my price range, but I'd definitely buy it, and think it's worth the price. It is recommended for evening wear, at least on perfumania.com. They usually have it in stock there....

Dellicious says "The best foundation I've ever used!" about L'Oreal Bare Nataurel Mineral Makeup

I've always used liquid foundation until I tried this, and I'm hooked. It goes on easily, it stays put better, it doesn't leave me shiny after a few hours, and it blends so well. It feels very light on my face, not like I'm wearing a mask. A big plus is that it's so much cheaper than the higher priced one on the infomercials!...

I've loved this magazine for more than a decade! First discovered it when I was apprentice to a local lay midwife. Very informative, and I never throw an issue away! They are great for referencing later.

This magazine is pro family - homebirth/natural birth, breastfeeding, eco friendly parenting, the family bed, etc. Very informative articles.
...
