Over the last few years I've converted most of our lamps and lighting fixtures over to Compact Fluorescent Lights. With the exception of a small number of ornamental lights and lights controlled by dimmer switches, the conversion is almost complete. The savings, in terms of our electric bill are both noticeable and impressive. And, of course there is that intangible reward knowing that I'm doing something good for the environment.

So several months ago when I got the opportunity to try convert the few remaining R40 Floodlamps with GE's Dimmable Compact Fluorescent Floods I didn't hesitate.

Theses CFL Floods appear virtually identical to any other and comfortably fit any high-hat meant to accept an R40 bulb. At 1300 lumens, they provide just a bit less light at full brightness than the 100W bulbs they are replacing. They consume just 26W of electricity rather than the normal 90 - 100W of a conventional incandescent flood.

This set comes boxed and has nine separate time of old school Swhweppes soda flavors. The balms are tinted in the tins but have very little color on the lips. Although they have a novelty look to them, they contain good ingredients like organic extra virgin olive oil, organic coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax, rosemary and Vitamin E. I am buying into the Herbalife life while doing a 12-week weight loss program. They are the sponsors. I bought the Tea and like it a lot.

The morning formula is called the Replenishing Formula and the evening one is called the Cleansing Formula. According to the box the benefits are to helps the body eliminate toxins; to improve nutrient absorption, and it may support weight management. Of course none of these statements nor the product is monitored by the FDA.

Quick View: I like Bath & Body Works' hand soaps and I recently bought nine different scents and types (I had a great coupon!). One that I bought was Bath & Body Works Anti-Bacterial Deep Cleansing Hand Soap, Winter Candy Apple. Normally I'm not a fan of the deep cleansing soaps and go for the moisturizing ones but I didn't see this scent in the moisturizing hand soap area so I bought the deep cleansing one. It is VERY sweet but doesn't seem to dry my hands out like the other deep cleansing soaps from BBW.

Quick View: I have been a fan of Laura Geller's line of cosmetics for years. Her line of baked products is great. I have TONS of blushes but tend to stick with rosy hues. I decided it was time for a change so I picked up Laura Geller Blush-n-Brighten Blush Compact in Golden Apricot. I thought I would look orange it doesn't at all. This blush is baked and has a somewhat uneven texture. It isn't one color throughout. There are shades of deeper apricot and lighter all swirled within the compact. I like that because blush really shouldn't be one flat color. A little variation makes skin look better and the blush look more realistic.

I have to admit I am hooked on Glee. Glee is a new television show about a competitive Glee club run by a teacher who was once a Glee club member himself.

I myself was in swing choir when I was in high school which is pretty much like the Glee club in the show Glee. We did not just stand in sing in choir gowns but also danced while we sang more modern songs of that day. We also competed against other swing choirs in the state.

Glee is a show that started out with a few outcasts and a teacher wanting to get a Glee club going. But it is so much more than that. Over the episodes there have been some more popular kids who joined the Glee club and they have taken some heat for it but they love the club and the kids have all grown to care about each other.

The show is a 1 hour combination of drama, comedy, and music. You can be sure to see some singing and dancing in every episode of the show, some complain that it is lip sinking but it would be hard to do such a show any other...

I have the pleasure of being a Bzz Agent which means I get to try products in exchange for sharing information about those products with others.

Recently I got to try out Children's Zyertec Allergy Perfect Measure. This is an allergy medication meant for kids over the age of 6. It comes in pre-measured spoons. The medicine is actually in the handle of the spoon and in order to give it to the child you twist off of the twist off lid on each spoon and then it is pre-measured and ready to give to the child.

This is is great for people who are in a hurry and need to give their kids allergy medicine on the run, there is no measuring everything is right there and ready to administor. This is also very portable which is great for a mom like me. I can pop one in my purse and I know I will be ready should my son need it. You never know when a child is going to be affected by allergies so it is nice to be ready at any time just in case.

I am second to none in my appreciation of electricity and the illumination it has provided us so faithfully at the flip of a switch. They are expensive but well worth the money, delivering clean, extensive and smooth "burn time." I have bought the Classic Tapers (8") in a beautiful Amber (or "rust" color) but my favorites are the 6" Hand-Dipped Tapers which were available in a delicate shell pink color which matched the Winter Peach painted walls in my bedroom perfectly.

Colonial Candles of Cape Cod Hand-Dipped Tapers (6" size) cost $27 for a box of 12 and fit perfectly into the "hurricane lamp" candle holders on my bedroom dresser. In general, I have committed myself to Olay soaps because of the great lather and soft-as-butter feel. Still, I can't turn my back on my first love, Caress. Let's just say that I love the way Caress Daily Silk Soap makes me feel.

In addition to the amazingly fresh fragrance of a bar of Caress soap, the fact that the bar is made with bath oil lets you know that you're in for a moisturizing experience. Caress lathers up incredibly well and the bubbles just seem to last and last. At first I was afraid that the soap wouldn't rinse off easily, but actually it did with no problem and no drying residue. After my shower, my skin felt soft and moisturized--even before using my regular lotion. I also noticed that my skin doesn't get dry even when using Caress during the cold winter months. That's high praise for a simple bar of soap.
