David says "Endless and affordable listening entertainment!" about XM Satellite Radio

At one point in my life, I literally thought that you must be insane to pay for audio programming...why pay for something that is available for free on any AM/FM radio? That was until all of that same AM/FM programming became very stale and I became annoyed with what seemed like endless commercial breaks. — About a year ago, I looked into what seemed to be my only two options at the time -- XM and Sirius. I chose XM because there were better compatible portable players available....and for just $12.95 a month, I would have access to over 170 channels of satelitte radio content...true, I might only listen to about half a dozen on a regular basis, but that is another story. — And yes, I too describe my musical tastes as eclectic (doesn't everyone?), but no -- that doesn't mean that I like Coldplay AND Garth Brooks. — My favorite XM channels: — The Decades (all of which I listen to except for maybe the '40s) — 20 on 20 - Top 20 Hits (to hear what...

David says "The Ultimate Job Search Website" about Indeed

Whether you are unemployed, gainfully employed, or out just kicking tires....the seemingly endless Internet options for seeking out new career opportunities could be a bit overwhelming. — Recently, I discovered a search engine that has made my life a little bit easier. Granted, I am using this tool for a slightly different purpose (market research and business development) I still believe that this website can be very helpful to both the casual and active job seeker. — The idea behind Indeed.com is simple -- "One Search. All jobs." This tool allows you to plug in a quick search for, say, all Staff Accountant positions in Chicago, IL. The search engine then pulls all postings from all of the mainstream job boards (CareerBuilder, Monster, HotJobs, etc.) as well as some of the less popular sites. Most importantly, it also pulls from actual employer websites who may not also post their job listings on third-party sites. — While...

David says "Slightly dorky...but great reception!" about Belkin - Consumer Headphones (F5X002)

If you have an XM portable radio player (Inno or Helix) and get annoyed when the signal cuts out in various urban (and some rural) areas, I highly recommend investing in the Belkin XM Antenna Headphones for Inno & Helix. — And "investing" might be an overstatement...for a mere $39.99 (plus shipping) from the official XM radio website, you will get crystal clear reception at an affordable price. — Keep in mind...these headphones will not be able to pick up a signal when you are underground or in an elevator, but they will definitely provide an uninterrupted signal when you are walking around amongst skyscrapers and on cloudy days. The best part is that you can finally throw your portable player in your pocket and still get amazing reception. — The only major downside is that the headphones are not exactly pretty and less then compact -- you will look like you just stepped out of a commercial airplane, but overall worth the price! —...

David says "Ditch the zero (IPOD) and get with a hero (Inno)" about Pioneer - XM2go Inno Satellite Radio Receiver

Have you ever craved an ever-evolving, dynamic music library within the confines of your portable music player? Did you ever hear a song on the radio...and then wish you could record it on the spot...even if the song was almost finished? Do you ever get bored with choices of your stale music collection on your IPOD...and wish you had a better source for finding new music, that just isn't being played on the FM dial? — I will reserve my comments on XM satellite radio, specifically, for another review...the purpose of this review is to persuade all of those IPOD drones to consider a new device for transporting musical and audio entertainment...and no, I am not referring to a certain phone-based device by same, referenced manufacturer. — I began researching portable satelite radio players about a year ago and was drawn to the Pioneer Inno for several reasons -- it seemed to be the only portable satelitte radio player on the market (at the time) that doubled as...
