Danasgreat says "Keeps child's eyes focused on it, not on what you're trying to d" about Baby Einstein Takealong Tunes

It's time to retire my son's baby Einstien musical MP3 player. It's been a wonderful companion to him but he's now ready to move on to bigger Baby Einstien toys. I have loved this for my son for the last 17 months. It was, for quite some time, the only toy I could give him that would keep his attention while I changed his diaper. He hated diaper changes without it.

This small, compact and quite melidic little music player plays several classical pieces which light up colorful notes on the display. It it birght and flashy. The toy is light for little ones to carry around and easy to operate with only one large button on the front.

It is time now though to move onto bigger toys. I am kinda sad about it but it has been well worth the money. It was only $12 almost a year and a half ago.

Ihave to say the only real complaint I had was that there was no way to add new music to it. It would have been nice to hear something different!

...

Danasgreat says "my carpets feel like I paid a fortune to clean but I didn't!" about Bissell 1697-M PowerSteamer Pro Upright Vacuum

When my husband asked me what I wanted for Mother's day this year, I had an answer. I wanted a carpet cleaner. I REALLY wanted a carpet cleaner. With two large dogs and a toddler my home never feels clean enough...Ok, who am I kidding, it never IS clean enough. We looked at the selection in Walmart, knowing I'd find what I was looking for, When we comapred models the Bissel ProHeat had just what I needed without being too hard to figure out. It was $160 there but we found it at Big Lots for $99. Anyways...We got home and got it all ready to use. You have to wait a few minutes for the water to heat up, which bugged me...I was r-e-a-d-y to get my carpet spotless. I vaccumed while I waited, hopeing it would be worth it.

Was it? you ask...YES! The 12 inch wide cleaning path and easy to hadle design allowed to to clean my 13 x 19 living room and a large area rug in less than 20 minutes.

The carpet was clean in once round and it got up all of the spots!

I will be...
...

Danasgreat says "Great Prices on lots of stuff!" about Big Lots

I'm a bargain QUEEN. I search for weeks for the best deals on any purchase over $25...yes, $25. I'm cheap. I like my money right where it belongs....collecting interest.

I live in a very shop savvy city..Hendersonville, TN. We have 2 malls withing 10 minutes, Sears Outlests, boutique stores, specialty shops, thrift...One of my favorites is BIG LOTS!

I'm always looking ahead for birthdays, mother's day, you name it and I have it to shop for. I have a LARGE extended family and we are all very close so that leaves a lot of gift giving to do. I am also a stay at home mom with lots of time for bargain hunting. I like Big Lots because you NEVER know what you are going to find. I recently bought a Bissell carpet steamer for $99, which was $60 less than even Walmart.

I have also found great deals on food items, such as Natures Goodness Oat n Hiney bars for $5/pack of 60. My husband eats these every day and my toddler loves them as a snack so this was a great but. ...
...

Danasgreat says "What's better that gourmet coffee on a gas station budget?" about Keurig Elite B40 Coffee Maker

Coffee. That one beautiful little cup first thing in the morning. My heart floats at the thought of it. It wasn't always this way. No, sadly, as much as I love my morning Joe...I used to dread the cleanup, the filters, the spilled grounds....until Keurig.

Yes, Keurig. A single serving, self heating coffee device with so many flavor options it took weeks to decide! My husband is as in love with his coffee as I am so we decided for Christmas last year to give ourselves a Keurig!

This little countertop coffee maker is so easy to use. All you do is grab your k-cup (that's Keurig speak for 'already perfectly measured coffee that you don't have to worry about running over the filter and brewing into your pot'), close the lid, hit one button and POOF! Like a tiny barista has just entered your kitchen at 5:30 AM, there sits a steaming hot flavorful and aromatic cup of, in our case, Emril's New Orleans Bold!
...

Danasgreat says "Best Value and Performance in Bluetooth Deviices!" about Rocketfish Wireless Multimedia Bluetooth Keyboard and Laser Mouse Keyboard, Mouse (RFBTCMBO)

Being married to an advanced level computer programmer, I always seem to aquire the lastest tech-nerd devises. This comes in handy when you want to use your computer in an area of your home that is easily accesible to your whole house....For me, that was my livingroom, the big screen tv in my livingroom to be more specific. I tried a MS wireless set up but it wasn't a stong enough signal for the 19 feet between my tv/pc and my couch. When my husband came home and saw me sitting in the floor next to the tv with a wireless set he laughed at me.....He then packed it back up, took it back for a refund and promtly carted me and our 8 month old off to Best Buy.

$100 and a Rocketfish Bluetooth Keyboard and mouse later...her I sit. It has been 10 months since we purchased this and I couldn't be happier. My USB is plugged into the BACK of my computer, and aside from a very short delay at start up, the signal is perfect on both keyboard and mouse. It has also stood up to the...
...

Danasgreat says "The Rainforest Open Top Take a Long Swing was good ....in theory" about Fisher Price Rainforest Take-Along Swing

I purchased the Rainforest Take a Long swing from Walmart for my son when he was about a month. I have a large family that all live nearby and thought it would be great to have a way to contain and sooth my son while we were away from home. We visit often and many of my relatives have animals (cats or dogs) that I didn't want to have free access to my son, like if he were on the couch or on the floor in his carseat. The swong was easily put together, only requiring a few minutes of my time. The music was soothing and a little fun....enough to keep a baby's attention. My problems with the swing were as follows:

First of all the swing settings....there were three. The two slowest were too slow and the fastest was entirely too fast for an infant.

My other issues was that once my son was 4 months old could move his head forward on his own the velocity of him doing so caused him on one occasion to become stuck, hanging forward on the moving swing unable to pull his head back. ...
...
